Anyone know a practicing knowledgable subutex doctor for chronic pain management. I have to live with pain chronic. I tried Dr. Reichmen which is very experienced but full no new patients. Pls anyone I have 2 weeks left. God Bless. . ## Hello, Cota! How are you? What you actually need to find is a pain management specialist, since any of them can prescribe it for pain. The only restriction for prescribing it is for doctors that have the waiver to use Subutex/Suboxone for addiction treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that can refer you to someone? Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? ## Even some doctors don...

Does anyone know of a doctor in WI that is willing to prescribe narcotics for chronic pain. I am a legitimate pain patient. I had twelve vertebrae fused and suffer from severe chronic pain that significantly impacts even the most simple daily activities. I have taken a large dose of opiates for a substantial amount of time (over 7 years) and metabolize the medication very quickly. My doctor is retiring, and I need to find a doctor with an open mind who is willing to look beyond the ignorant stigma surrounding narcotics and approach my treatment in a non-offensive way rather than immediately assuming that anyone who takes narcotics does so illegitimately. NEED A WI DR. HELP! WILL GO ANYWHERE IN WI. ## In Wisconsin, you actually have an organization called the Alliance of State Pain Initi...

Can anybody recommend a pain management practice near Aurora IL to treat back injuries? The challenge is that many non narcotic medications have not been working well for me and I do not feel good from drugs like Lyrica. I would ideally like a clinic where they would be willing to review my medical history in full and prescribe an appropriate treatment. ## One difficulty you may be creating for yourself is by trying to insist on a certain narcotic medication. Many doctors see this as drug seeking behavior. It is actually much better to let your medical records speak for you, whenever you see a new doctor, that way they can see what has been documented by other doctors and they are more likely to take that under consideration. Therefore, you should always make sure to take a copy of your...

I need a clinic or doctor for methadone treatment that takes Medicare and mutual of Omaha supplement and is a pain management doctor in the Tyler. Lngview area ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you doing? You actually can't get both, so to speak. If you require Methadone treatment for drug addiction, you'll have to go to a treatment clinic, regular doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for that….which brings me full circle to the other, if you require it for pain, a pain management specialist can't provide addiction treatment with it, it's basically one or the other. Learn more Methadone details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation....

The doctor had me on hydrocodone apap 10 325 and it was not relieving the pain at all I called and told him about it and he prescribed fioricet 50-325-40 is this any stronger because I still feel no comfort at all with taking these? ## No, Fioricet isn't a good general pain reliever, it's actually most commonly used to treat migraines and tension headaches. However, your doctor is restricted in what they can prescribe. Have you considered seeing a pain management specialist? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I found this great Pain Specialist who actually helps people with legitimate problems that have found that they are only helped with Narcotics. This Doctor does not treat you like a drug fiend and actually believes you when you tell the truth. He then prescribes a reasonable amount of narcotics to help make your life better. Once you have proved you are honest you don't have to take a drug panel every month either and he writes a 3 month supply just like with heart medication. Sound Like a dream? It is; at least from my 20 years of experience of being a pain patient. Why can't people who have real medical problems get real medical help when they need it? I think some Doctors need to get their butts sued and medical licences lost for lack of proper care of people in 24x7 agony! T...

I am a severe and chronic pain patient on my way towards a fibromyalgia diagnosis. I just moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and have priority health/medicaid. Do any of you know a good Doctor whos not shy about prescribing opiates??? I'm tired of being labeled a drug seeker when the drugs i seek ACTUALLY WORK. I don't feel high off them, I'm not a junkie, I just NEED to manage my pain levels because they get debilitating. I've great results historically with low level dose methadone (5mg 3x's daily) with norco (10/325mg, 4 x's daily for breakthrough). In otherwords I'm not looking to be a strung out zombie, I just want enough to take the edge off so i can function. Are there any sympathetic Doctors in Grand Rapids Michigan that won't treat me like a drug se...

What pain medication will I be able to use after suboxone treatment is complete ## "What pain medication will I be able to use after suboxone treatment is complete..." Depends, really. Are you actually looking for legitimate pain relief for a real issue, or looking to get high again? I've been on Suboxone for 5 years and 6 months ago some screws used to fix a broken ankle got very infected and infected the bone around it. Osteomylitus with the infection being the MRSA infection. Painful doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I had. Now I was different than you in the sense that I was currently on Suboxone treatment, making my tolerance to pain medication extremely high. I actually carry a card around with me, given to me by my doctor, that explains what physicians, ...

Have you consulted your doctor? Did you fall or injure your hip, in any manner? Anytime you experience sudden pain, you should consult a doctor, especially if it continues to get worse. By not doing so and trying to self-treat the issue, you may actually be allowing permanent damage to occur. And the active ingredient in Advil is Ibuprofen, so ...

I moved from California to Mountain Home, Arkansas (north-central Arkansas) last year & have been unable to find a pain management doctor. I have seen two doctors. The first one accused me of being a "drug addict" on my first visit despite the fact that I brought all of my surgery records, MRI & X-Ray films, discharge instructions (I'd been staying in a nursing home) & my original medication containers. He was rude, abusive, and would actually yell at me during visits. To my great relief, he finally referred me to another pain mgmt. clinic two hours away. But, guess what, I received the same treatment from the new doctor! I don't want to bore you with all the details but will share some of the facts. I have been in a wheelchair for 9 yrs., I've had 2 lumb...

I am currently on methadone, have been for about 7 years, I go to a clinic and I do get 13 takehomes, but I am wanting to find a private doctor that I can go to, how do I find one and how do I change. Thank you for time.. ## i am prescribed methadone 150mgs per day for severe pain from a motocross accident, not 2 be the one 2 give you bad news but my doctor has told me countless times that almost noooo doctors are willing to prescribe methadone, die be surprised if you found a doctor willing 2 do it ## Actually, if it's for addiction treatment, a regular doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for that. They can only prescribe it for pain, due to federal laws. If you require addiction treatment, or maintenance dosing, then you have to go to one of the clinics where people have been sp...

Ive been taking methadone for 5 years finding it off the street because the clinics are very inconvienent. X addict been clean 5 years due to the methadone. also i have a serious ankle injury that causes severe pain ## Hello, Droop! How are you? There is no listing of what doctor prescribes any specific medication. And due to the new regulations that went into effect this year, if you require this type of medication for long-term treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Chonic pain been dianosed for over 10 years. Government regulation have made Doctors cut your medication by almost half and know it is not enough. Doctors are saying that the Feds are stopping them from properly treating especially chronic pain due to major trama and or illness. Can we legally get the meds we need from out of the country sources? ## No, you cannot. Even if you are visiting another country and have something prescribe there, you are limited to only being allowed to bring up to 3 months worth of it into the U.S. with you. I am looking for a list of Suboxone providers in the Portland Oregon area that accept Medicare as payment. The specialty lists are just for those that need it for addiction treatment. Learn more Suboxone details here. However, the problem you may run into is if you are contacting doctors and wanting them to prescribe a specific medication, because most doctors will consider that drug seeking behavior. Hello, I have raced horses my whole life and been in multiple accidents over the years and now have arthritis in my neck, back and shoulder. I was put on oxycodone for about 2 years but afraid I was getting addicted so I quit taking it and my dr has since retired. No doctor is ever obligated to write you a prescription under any circumstances and the only time they are obligated to treat you is if you are in immediate, life threatening danger. However, you also don't have to actually ask them to be discharged at that time. Actually, sometimes they don't. Many people experience such issues for the duration of treatment and have had to stop the medication early, or switch to something else. The same applies to the other side effects listed by the FDA, which may include nausea, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. Have you consulted your doctor?
