White Watson 853 smaller with bluish tint
4 Replies RSS
My latest Watson 853s are slightly smaller, the score line a tad thinner & the color isn't as white. It looks like it's not as shiny, maybe less coating, & the color has kind of a bluish tint to the white. I had a few of my old ones to compare them to, otherwise I might not have noticed. I read on other boards that Watson had been bought by Actavis & didn't know if this was their version of the Watsons. Has anyone else noticed this? ## Hi Sheba, Did you get these from a real licensed pharmacy or are you just ordering them off the internet from overseas? Reason I ask is because Watson was in fact bought out by Actavis, but their legitimate pills are recognized as being a white, oblong, scored tablet imprinted with "WATSON 853". They are NOT known to have a... ...

White short oblong pill with watson 853 on one side and line on other side ## Hello, Kellie! How are you? Watson Pharmaceuticals list this tablet as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. These are the tablets that used to be yellow, but Watson recently started removing the dye from their products, due to some people being allergic to them. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

watson 853 white pill / shinier smaller pill
3 Replies RSS
I have been taking norco 10/325 and the pills say watson 853 for some reason the last ones I got where a smaller version and looked shiny compared to my older ones that were a little bigger and more dull looking with a chalky film left in the bottle these new ones that are shiny don't have that chalky film to them and the imprint looks a little different as well. It is not something u would really notice without really looking at them or having one to compare it to. Would these be some kind of fake pill or geneic version. Just curious? ## Hello, Just out of curiosity, did you order these off the internet from one of those overseas pharmacies in India? If you had got them from a legitimate retail pharmacy here in the US I don't see why you'd even have anything to be concerned... ...

White Watson 853 Definately Less Effective
6 Replies RSS
There is something very wrong with the white Watsons besides being less affective ,I get headaches sleeplessness, irritability, and dry mouth, the only thing I know is that actual Watson company pharmaceutical sold to Activis which another pharmaceutical company. this is not the same pill. Waldgreens gave me these without telling me of the change after getting home I went to take one and found out they were white, I called waldgreens and was told they are exactly the same. I tested this pill for 10 days now and I still have the same negative reaction. If I cant get them to switch the remaining ones with the V script imprint I will be taking my business back to CVS ## They are supposed to have only removed the dye from them, but there have been many complaints similar to yours. New white Watson 853 10/325 problem - What is going on???!?
15 Replies RSS
Hello all, I am a longtime chronic pain sufferer. I have taken opiates for pain for over 10 years. I recently got a prescription filled (from a well known pharmacy chain in the U.S.) and I was given these new Watson 853 white (not yellow) hydro 10/325 pills. I wanted to ask the forum here if any of you have had the same experience with them as I have. I know there are some very smart people with advanced chemistry knowledge here that may have delved deeper into whats going on with these things. They are ineffective for me. I've taken hydrocodone 10/325 for 10+ years and have never ever had a problem with pills being ineffective but that is the case with these pills. I've had about every brand you can think of and never an issue. Ever. I thought nothing of the color change when I... ...

MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME, THAT IP 110 WHICH IS ANOTHER GENERIC FORM OF HYDROCODONE 10 / 325, DOES NOT WORK THEM NEAR AS WELL AS WATSON 853, WHICH IS A BETTER GENERIC OF SAME THING , HYDROCODONE 10/325. OBVIOUSLY PHARMACIES ARE BUYING IP 110 CAUSE THEY ARE CHEAPER. WHAT ELSE IS KNOWN OUT THERE, AND OTHER PEOPLE'S EXPERIENCE, IS IT THE SAME, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ??? ## Hello, Dr. Moki! How are you? I've actually taken both of them, at different times when it was prescribed and found them both to work well for me. Just like any other medication, it can vary from person to person. watson 853 crumbling in my hands (fake or just old meds?)
2 Replies RSS
I have a script of watson 10's with 853 on them, but they're crumbling in my hands.. Could these be fake or just old meds? ## Hello, Denise! How are you? Where were they obtained? If they are from a legitimate U.S. pharmacy, then there's likely nothing to worry about. Various things can affect the solidity of a pill, such as variations in the manufacturing process, storage conditions and age. However, if they are from an other source, then I would definitely say they are questionable. These tablets are listed as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Blue Pill Watson 540 Tab

are the yellow tabs stronger than the blue tabs?? ## The oval, blue tablet marked Watson 540 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The yellow, oval marked Watson 853 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, since the Acetaminophen tends to improve how well the narcotic Hydrocodone works, the blue tablet would be stronger. This medication may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.
