i have been taken thyronorm (thyroxin 100) 100mg for past 3yrs but i have no idea ,which type of my thyroid disease means its hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism?. please define this. ## Hyperthyroidism simply means your thyroid makes too much thyroid hormone. Your thyroid is a gland in the front of your neck. It controls your metabolism, which is how your body turns food into energy. It also affects your heart, muscles, bones, and cholesterol. Having too much thyroid hormone can make a lot of things in your body speed up. You may lose weight quickly, have a fast heartbeat, sweat a lot, or feel nervous and moody. Or you may have no symptoms at all. Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) early symptoms can include: Being more sensitive to cold; Constipation; Depression; Fatigue or feeling sl...

For underactive thyroid conditon ## I am trying to find a listing of the inert ingredients in Armour thyroid medicine ## Why is it so important to find the ingredients in a medication that has helped millions of people for many years? I have taken this medication for 25 years without any complications or side effects. Why isn't that enough for doctors? Don't they listen to their patients anymore. Are you a doctor or just a person I'm dumping on. ## Is ArmourThyroid meds is it better than Levothyroxine ??? ## Sunshine, there is really no way to say, since we are all different, it is really a matter of trial and error to discover what medication works for you, without causing unwanted side effects that make you miserable. Recently diagnosed with underactive thyroid. Extremely low vitamin d levels suagar levels elevated and what ever level is elevated that should be an indication of gall stones or gall bladder issues. Dr put me on 50. Mcg of levothyroxine. I went back for blood work in a month. At about the same time I had severe itching. Doctor said all levels looked good and I didn't feel as sluggish. Dr left me on the same strength but changed to synthroid. My skin itches and burns like crazy. I haven't taken any synthroid for 2 days but I still itch. How long before the itching should subside? ## Hello, Julia! How are you? Sorry about the itching problem. This has been reported by many people with thyroid issues and it could be related to that, rather than the medication. Have you consulted yo...

I was recently diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. I have been taking levothyroxine for almost two weeks. For the last four or five days I have had a weird feeling. It is hard to explain. I don't really feel dizzy but I get a strange feeling in my head. I guess you would describe it as a head rush. Has anyone else had this feeling and will it go away as my body adjusts to the levothyroxine? ## yes i would get that every morning after i took my pills and drank coffee. I think its inmortant to eat a little over an hour after to avoid the dizziness. I was diagnoised with hypothyroidism last December and was put on Levothyroxine (75mcg). Overall I have been feeling better and have more energy. But unlike most other people with underactive thyroids I was not overweight and since going on Levothyroxine have lost 10 pounds and am continuing to lose weight. I also have developed hoarseness which gets worse as the day goes on. Question-the weight loss is a common side effect of the medication-but has anyone heard of hoarseness? My thyroid levels were tested a few weeks ago and are now normal. ## Yes, I have noticed sore throat and hoarseness also on generic levothyroxine 75mcg. I finally tried not taking it for a couple of days and the sore throat and hoarseness went away. Started taking it again and voila, the sore throat and hoarseness...

I also over a period weaned myself off one tramacet and one celebrex which I took every night for approximately three years for neck pain. I discontinued taking these two tablets as I was extremely sleepy during the day. Lastly I was prescribed urbanol for depression as well which I also weaned myself off soon after discontinuing the use of tramacet and celebrex. My question to you is this ... is it safe to take Eplepton 1 nightly, 100mg when five years ago I had a stroke and subsequently two heart episodes. I really have a dilemma currently. Hi, Im 15 and have been taking Levothyroxine 50mcg for over 3 years. When my doctor first old me that my thyroid was not working properly he said that it was overactive, he said something about it being at either 5 or 500. I'm not really sure. I do know that levithyroxine is for underactive thyroid though so I assume he meant I had an underactive and not overactive. I have several aunts that are on levothyroxine for underactive thyroid glands. I was told when I first started the medicine that I would lose weight when my thyroif began working properly. I have only gained weight since than. My doctor didn't really tell me how to take the medicine or what to take with it or really anything about it. The only thing he said was to take it in the morning before school. He has only che...
