I have been taking 3 one mg klonopin for 25 years, I now have tranxene 7.5 mg. I'm very worried that I will have withdrawal because I've read that Tranxene is very weak in comparison. Is this true? I'm terrified I will have a seizure. Please any advice or info is greatly appreciated. ## Hello, Bri! How are you? Yes, it is much weaker, you actually need 15mgs of Tranxene to equal each 1mg of Klonopin. You're not going cold turkey, which lessens the seizure risk, but it doesn't completely eliminate it. These medications also carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Did you doctor prescribe this dosage?

is this pill xanax ## No , though it is in the same drug family and you are actually looking at it upside down. The marking is R 081 and it contains 7.5mgs of Clorazepate, the active ingredient in Tranxene, another Benzodiazepine. It is used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Is 3.75 mg of Clorazepate or tranxene the same as taking one mg of xanax or what? ## No, the Clorazepate is much weaker than Xanax, so 3.75mgs of it only equals about 0.125mgs of Alprazolam/Xanax. What is a blue pill with 9 V on top and under that 44? The other side is blank. It's very blue, like royal blue. ## If this matches, it is Tranxene SD Half-Strength Extended Release 11.25mgs, Cloazepate. This is a Benzodiazepine, low strength tablet, same drug class as Xanax, Valium and the like. So very addictive.

I get a script of 60 of the 7.5 mgs of tranxene (clorazapate) and I need a doc or a professional in the pharmaceutical to give me a correct answer because my doc doesn't like giving out the really strong benzos and says she's hesitate to up my dosage to 15mgs and the 7.5 don't work I gotta take four or five just to relieve a lil bit so I'm just curious bcuz a zanny Barr usually does the trick sometime two just depends. I have been taking Tranzene for about 25 years now. I used to take it 7.5 mg, every four hours as needed. But when I didn't take it for a few days I'd get panic attacks. So now, my doctor told me to take 2 pills every night 15 mg total, to help me sleep. Since I am taking them every night, I no longer get panic attacks. Is this a real high dose?
