I received some stanzol steriods in pill form and I dont know what exactly they are. Thay are oval in shape, yellow in color and have a split on one side and the letters AX on the other side.. Good day,I need help I was on suston 50 steriods,but now I stopped using en cause it caused me very badly acne on my face,back and chest,I went to doc he prescribeme purbac and benzoly acne cream but non of those is helping me,what can I use now,I stop using riods or a month now but still acne haven't clear up ## In the case of acne caused by the steroid, it's really just going to take time for it to clear up and that's going to be the only solution. Has it improve any, yet? How long were you on the steroid?

ankle pain is persistant since last one year. I was prescribed steriods for 3 months of which swelling subsided however pain continued. After which i was advised plaster for 6 weeks end result nothing happened. Presently pain and swelling remains,MRI report shows swelling in tarsenal bone,presently pain is like electric shocks.

If there are no markings, it is difficult to determine what a tablet contains, it could even be an over the counter Aspirin. Where were they found/obtained?

my 11 month has croup and was prescribed steriods and is no better after 4 days , is is safe to give her pinamox antibiotic ## Piramox contains Amoxicillin, which is an antbiotic and will only help if her problem is caused by an infection. I would assume it isn't and that is why her doctor didn't prescribe antibiotics in the first place. The steroid is not an instant solution and it will take time to work, 4 days is not enough, you should continue the course of treatment for the time period that your doctor suggested. doctor has diagnosed RA for which he prescribed HCQS200 and CCM. do they contain steriods? do I have to take them lifelong? Can you drink alcohol when taking steroids ## Alcohol on its own will certainly be putting stress on your liver and so are the oral steriods so using both will consequently have a lot more of a negative effect over a shorter period of time. I obviously don't agree with either options, but I suggest choosing one over the other if you felt the need to. Have you done your research on the long term side effects of either option? The severity and number of symptoms are pretty staggering. I hope you are willing to seek help or more advice from others if these are "your" intentions.

I have chrons disesae since i was 18 I am now 42 and the pain is umbearable i have had an ileostomy for it, i have ulcer medicineand surgery,and nothing is working i have to bad knees i have a full replacement in my right knee and know i need a right knee replacement due to osteoporosis from so much steriods and arthritis in both knees even after operations and i am not doing well at all. I was diagnosed with SLE and RA finally. I was given Plaquenil for the lupus symptoms and cymbalta for depression and pain. Are these good medications for SLE and RA ## Yes. I have just started a course of Panafcortelone 50mg for 5 days, tapering by half every five days for 20 days. I have been sick with acute bronchitis with existing asthma. After one course of antibiotics and still a lot of shortness of breath, I have resumed a second course of antibiotics and starting to feel better. I have long standing osteoarthritis, with significant degenerative changes I did have a cervical fusion 20years ago & I attend a neurology clinic every 3 months. Over the last year I have had significant changes in pain & movement. I have been using a 50mg Indomethocid suppository along with 20mg of Amitriptyline at night which works well However during the day where I once used steriods I have now been prescribed 50mgTramadol. This is a new regime so I can give no real feed back . However the Pain clinic suggest I rather use Lyrica,this I'm reluctant to try as this seems a pain solution, I need an antiinflmmatory (for movement) and a pain solution for when movement is limited.A double edged sword.
