I am starting Suboxone after using oxy for over 3 years after being a college and after college drunk for 8 years. So 11 years of being additcted to something and now I move to Suboxone. However I am reading that alot of people use suboxone for months and months, but i'm planning on going for just a month or so. Some may laugh, but i cut cold turkey oxy after I ran out on my honeymoon. That is a pathetic story. I had a plan to quit before my wedding and am a successful 30 year old self employed contractor, and just kept delaying and of course I run out on my honeymoon thinking I had enough but the extra walking around Greece and Italy led me to making phone calls home to try and get it sent to me by my friend (which I think was illegal) and then I spent part of my day in Santorini w...

i was wondering if you can help me . my doctor had me on a hormorne tablet all i can remember it started with p.The reason i am trying to find out is because my doctor has moved and she has taken her patient files with her and i cannot find her. ## my husband has been in pharmacy for 20 years he sd Premarin would be the hormone you are probably looking for. ## It is possible that it was Premarin: There are also several other possibilities. What were you taking it for? Another solution would be to ask the pharmacy, where you got the prescription filled. They would still have the records in their computer and should be able to help you find the information.

Hello I'm trying to find out the new pain medicine that kids are taking today that replaces the pain pill oxycontin. I saw a show on TV about this but I can't remember what It's called? I think it starts with the letterA? It's the new drug craze today. ## The only one I can think of offhand that starts with an A would be Actiq, it contains the narcotic Fentanyl, which is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and is available as a lollipop, it's a formulation used for slow release of the medication. Does this sound familiar?

What can we expect as far as side effects are concerned and how often are blood tests done? He also has quite a slow pulse and arrhythmia. Is there a specific diet...can you eat foods with vitamin k in them? ## My Husband has just started Sintrom. Does anyone have advise. Anyone suffer adverse effects. As much information would be welcomed please.

I am to start my withdrawal from 2700mg of neurontin this week. I take three 300mg at morning, noon, and dinner. I had tried to go off it myself a few time, but guess I tried to do it too quickly, the pain was terrible. I have been on it for about five years for chronic pain and it doesn't work. I will go down one pill (300) every three weeks or so. I hope this will be slow enough to prevent withdrawal symptoms. Any thought on this would be appreciated. ## Hi, Wanda! How are things going? One warning I'd like to give you is that you do need to do this very slowly and carefully. Since Neurontin is actually an anticonvulsant, a rapid, sudden withdrawal actually creates the risk of suffering seizures. You've already experienced the rebound pain that can happen from doing it too...

Day four of 1st Chantix use. Have to stop w/ chronic bronchitis and am using the support system online of exercises. Will use the coach line. Slight headache or from the coughing? Tired a bit or from not exercising enough which helps my energy level and need to knock off pounds. A walk this morning helped with a tape of an inspirational author I love. Then I got depressed for awhile missing my deceased parents and self loathing over my nicotine addicted life. I can't imagine using this medicine with other meeds, alcohol, or if I had mental illness so people have to do it with their doctor. It's like with all scripts--read and beware. I'm optimistic w/o nausea and I am a writer and find odd dreams fascinating anyway. I had breast cancer 4 years ago and it was caught early. Bu...

question: i am a sunday starter but i didnt get to start the new pack until monday. and i misunderstood how to take them. instead of taking 2 on mon (both sun and mons) i threw sundays away and just started with monday. AND during the active pills i also lost one completly. if i am to get my period, and i was a day late starting the pack, should it come one day early or late? ## just go on w/ your schedule.......... & use a condom too PLEASE!! ## Yes, you should use a back-up means of birth control, until you have been on the pills continuously for several weeks, without missing any. As to when your period will start, it all depends on how your body reacts to missing the pill, you may even start now, or at least have some spotting/breakthrough bleeding. Do you have any other questio...

For several months I was taking Coreg tabs, 12.5 mg 2X day. I had mitral valve repair, and my MD doubled my dosage. Now I can barely move or concentrate--and have almost no energy. How long does getting acclimated to this drug at my docage take. I find this drug's side affects to be almost worse than my symptoms??? ## According to the FDA, Coreg may cause dizziness, fatigue, increased urination, joint pain, and vision changes as side effects. Ref: Coreg Information How long have you been on the new dosage? Typically, side effects last about 4 to 5 weeks, until your body gets used to the new dose.

Has anyone had any experience with taking just half a pill in the morning to begin with? I have been reading all of the reviews of this drug so would like to know if perhaps taking half the initial dose would give the body time to adjust to it. ## Even though they say not to split the pills, my gyne told me to start with a half at night. Didn't have any issues. ## You should take the dosage your doctor has instructed you to take. Generally you are supposed to start at a lower amount, and go up gradually over a month, until reaching the known effective dosage. The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, mood swings, and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am self medicating with Angeliq because I live in South East Asia where medical treatment isn't the best. I found it absolutely helped with the horrific fright flight feelings I had prior to a hot flush descending upon me which was just terrible. Having stopped taking it after around 2 years, I am having mild flushes now and then but the terrible thing is I just don't sleep. I am thinking to go back on it but worry as I am 60 and not able to get mamograms and care how it might go. Any ideas or advise please. ## Wow! I am so sorry about what you're going through, being in perimenopause myself, I understand how awful hormonal issues can get. However, having high blood pressure, I cannot take hormonal medications and the best thing I've found that's helped so far is P...

Going with 60mg with T level at 275. Will keep you guys posted ## Hi Scott, Just noticed you posted this on the 2nd of May and was wondering how well Axiron's been working for you since then? I came across a few other discussion threads talking about this medication, but their reviews give me the sense that it's really not that effective at all. Maybe your experience is totally different? Thanks! :) ## So after two weeks, I noticed the hard on a little stronger. As far as increased energy and losing weight, nothing to notice or report on. I just started taking Celexa tonight 2.5mg to ease into it. I am extremely sensitive to medications. I took prozac last year after devastating miscarriage. I have been off it a year and now my depression and anxiety is back with a vengeance. Help! I feel like my anxiety and depression is worse and it was a super low dose? I'm worried it won't work as I tried to go back on prozac but the side effects were too much. ## Actually, if you read the information provided by the FDA and the NIH, it is very common for this to happen, when you start taking such a medication. They can actually worsen things for about 3 weeks, or so, until your body gets used to the medication. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. However, if you feel that...

I am 29 and have been dealing with depression and anxiety since I was 15. I have been on and off everything and it seems to work for a few months and then I get no benefit from it even with increased doses. In 2008 I started passing out or becoming unresponsive for a few seconds up to 15 minutes. They told me I was having non epileptic seizures due to stress. It was a stressful time in my life. I saw a psy and went on cymbalta and things seemed to improve but they never went away. Then they thought it was migraine related and I went on topamax and things seemed to improve. I went off cymbalta and stayed on topamax and things were the same. Then I went off everything and had been doing well until a few months ago. I first noticed it while I was driving I felt like I was going to be hit o...

I've been pretty anxious my whole life. Used Paxil at 15 after a bad experience with drug my anxiety was insane. I then stopped using Paxil after a month and managed to.live with my anxiety. I WAS PRESCRIBED SAVELLA FOR NEUROPATHY. I'M NOW ON THE HIGHER DOSE WITH LOTS OF HOT FLASHES. PRETTY FOGGY WITH IT ALSO. AS FAR AS THE PAIN, IT SEEMS TO BE HELPING. I'M HOPING THESE HOT FLASHES SUBSIDE AS TIME GOES BY. ## Both of the symptoms you stated can be normal side effects of this medication. How long have you been taking it, now? It may take about 2 weeks, or so, but the side effects should start to taper off as your body adjusts to the medication, but can expect to experience them, again, anytime you are given a higher dosage. My MD started me on Lexapro a little more than a month ago. Started at 5 mg and I got such paranoia that I quit. On follow-up exam he suggested 2.5 mg and I've been doing that for about 3 weeks. Today I upped it to 5 mg. He was talking as high as 40 mg. I see no reason for anyone taking that amount especially with what I'm reading about rats coming down with retinal degeneration and adrenal failure, plus all the symptoms that come from withdrawals. I will stop at 10 mgs. I don't have social anxiety, I have a problem with motivation which I guess stems from some type of depression. ## My heel hurt so back got ## Hello, CatAddict! How are you? You should check with your doctor, before doing this, but it's usually safe for most women to just continue the active pills and skip their periods at a time it would be inconvenient to have it, such as right after you get married. To do so, you would just skip the inactive week and move right on to a new pack of pills. Are there any other questions? ## okay my question is not skipping my period cause two days before t...

So I just got this birth control to start after not being on anything for about 10 yrs. I know you should wait until the first day of your period to start, but can I just start taking it without having to actually start my period? And if so will it become effective immediately? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? You can start it at any time, but it will take 7 days, before it becomes effective, so you'd need to use a back up form of contraception, until the 8th day. Is there anything else I can help with?
