I thought this might be of interest: Walgreens Agrees to Pay a Record Settlement of $80 Million for Civil Penalties under the Controlled Substances Act- "Walgreens' alleged failure to sufficiently report suspicious orders was a systematic practice that resulted in at least tens of thousands of violations and allowed Walgreens' retail pharmacies to order and receive at least three times the Florida average for drugs such as oxycodone." Source: justice.gov/dea/divisions/mia/2013/mia061113.shtml ## Thanks for taking the time to share this bit of info with us. Walgreens eventually had it coming to them with all the alleged government surveillance going on. Apparently they were filling customer prescriptions that they knew or should have known were not for legitimate medical ...

Has any that received a settlement from their claim been asked to send any of the money back to them? ## I have not even received any money yet, feel like I am getting the run around.... ## Even if you were asked to give any of the money back, would you? Especially after having gone through the "torment" associated with their inferior product? Not only that but I'd feel ashamed to hand back claim money to a multi-billion dollar industry who will probably use that money to create more faulty drugs that just continue the cycle of legal settlements. So in a sense, by choosing not to comply, you're essentially taking away from their power. A handful of legal claims probably won't dent their pocket books in the least bit, but the more patients loose faith in their product...

I have Crohn’s disease so the 176 hydrocodone always have settled well with me, but today they gave me the M367, so as of right now I did not pick it up because I do not know if it is as strong. And I do not know how it digests. If anybody can answer this question as soon as possible I would appreciate it. Since I am out of pain medication I cannot get a hold of my doctors office. How are the M367? ## Hello Worried69, Nobody on the internet is going to be able to tell you accurately how these pills are going to react to you. The best I can do is provide you with a comparison of the two pills so that you can make an informed decision as to if you want to try these pills or not. All information I provide will be sourced from the National Institute of Health. The M367 and the 176 pil...

Easy to live with warfarin once you get your INR settled..the alternative is not so attractive!! IThe best advice is to accept it and work with it, not against it, and hav a doctor you trust. I now have my bloods done monthly which is gr8 after all the weekly tests..not a big deal..I hav a St Jude INR testing machine at home, its just like a blood test machine my mum has for her diabetes, I can use it to monitor my INR but choose to go to the blood collection agency ..thats my choice..before my op I loved a few drinks, take away, and smokes etc.. but after mitral valve replacement am happy to be alive with warfarin as my only medication..get to live and see my children & grandchildren every day..how blessed. ## I have just had an aortic valve relacement can I take coxflam with warfa...

Taking prucalopride 2 mg for 4 weeks . I had a headache to begin with which settled . Occasionally feel light headed . Much hungrier than normal with hunger pangs and rumbling which are hard to ignore - really hope this goes as I lost 20lb with diet and exercise last year. Bowel wise it didn't work well until this week -not used laxatives . Might give up taking it if the hunger doesn't stop though ## Hello, Harvest! How are you doing? It might not actually be hunger, but rather just GI pain that you perceive as hunger pain. GI issues are the most commonly reported side effects of this medication and I experienced the type of thing, where I was feeling hungry, but it was due to pain, not actual hunger a few years ago… it turned out that I had gastritis. The doctor told me i...

So last year I was on yaz and after about 3 months, I started having cramps and gas and always felt like my stomach wasnt settled. My mom thought I was lactose intolerant but when I stopped my pills over summer, my stomach was back to normal. Now I am on yaz again and after 2 months the same thing is happening with my stomach. Has anyone else experienced this with yaz? Should I be worried. I think I am going to ask my doctor to switch. ## Hello, Marz! How are you? Has there been any change? Those can be side effects of oral contraceptives, according to the NIH. You may also experience headache, PMS-like symptoms, and spotting. Speaking to your doctor about switching to a different one is most likely a good idea. With many medications, it is a matter of trial and error to find one that w...

I have really bad back pain and I have been seeing my doctor for about three years. I have tried just about every med that there is. I finally settled with oxycodone 30mg. It has been a life saver for me. I now can work without pain. Lately, I have been experiencing it not working and that disappoints me because now I am starting to have more pain. Is it possible that I have become used to the medication and it is not working anymore??? Is 30 mg the maximum dose? I am now taking 30mg every 4-6 hours. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas? ## Lakeka, unfortunately i had the same issues. After time, it seemed my tolerance for the oxycodone grew, and it became less and less effective. At this point, i take a 40mg oxycotin (which is time release) in the late morning along with my 30mg oxyc...

I read that patients can't see the implant but it's clear as day swimming inside my eye to me. Is this normal? Will it settle up or down, or am I forced to live with this thing floating around forever? ## There are cases where it can move to the front of the eye, such as if the posterior part of your lens is missing, or torn. Have you contacted your doctor to ask about this issue? They may be able to offer you a solution. The typical side effects of the Iluvien implant may include serious eye infections, eye inflammation, and retinal detachment.

Hi, my baby started having seizures a month ago so has been put on topamax. They started him on 15mg which after three weeks seemed to finally settle him. He has started having seizures again so it has been uped to 25mg. He is very irritable and who knows what else as he is obviously a baby and cannot express himself. For anyone else out there who ups thier dosage-how long does it take to get used to the new dose. I the seeing my baby boy so upset. Thanks ## Hello, Carrie! How is your son? I'm very sorry about the seizures. Each time the dosage is raised, it will take about 4 weeks, for his body to adjust and for the side effects to taper off and improve. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, headache and weight gain. Is there anything ...

I have been on Cymgen 30mg for almost 3 weeks. Day 2 to 7 were terrible with a racy heart and chills and then sweaty. I felt totally wired. That has all settled but I keep on doing weird stuff with my mouth and tongue and my mouth is super sore from contact with my teeth and tongue. I can't seem to stop it and have to consciously swallow my saliva each time. What to do? When will it settle if at all? ## This contains the active ingredient Duloxetine and those are not common side effects of it. Learn more Cymgen details here. Have you told your doctor about these issues? It's likely that this just isn't the right medication for you to take and you may need to try something else.

Tapering off of Cymbalta and starting 10 mg of Trintellix for 7 days soon to increase to 20 mg. I have suffered with Major Depressive Disorder for 23 years. Tried so many antidepressants and settled with Cymbalta. Take Abilify 20 mg. No side effects so far. Seem to have less fatigue, more energy and increased ability to focus. I have ADD and take 70 mg Vyvanse. Overall, very pleased with Trintellix. I can honestly say this was a Godsend. My family has noticed a difference in me already. Amazing drug well worth the high cost. Blessed insurance finally agreed to cover after several appeals and pleas for help. ## Awesome! I am so happy that this medication is working so well for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation....

Thr VA gave them to me and its like drinking coffee befoe going to bed ## Having abstained from coffee for several hours, and feeling a little tired, I took my first 20mg of temazepam and settled down with a book before attempting to doze off. I am WIDE awake. I found myself tossing and turning, stretching myself, humming various tunes, rolling on the bedroom floor. Is this supposed to be a soporific or an amphetamine by another name? ## If you taken 20mg of temazepam for the first time ever and your wide awake and restless you didn't get your pills from doctor or you have been given the wrong medication by accident. You would be very nicely chilled out and in the land of dreams after a short period. I would definately go straight by to your doctor/pharmicist/dealer and complain ## ...

I have been on 2 pumps of axiron for a month. Energy and libido were much improved. After about a month I started getting nausea so I stopped it on the recommendation of the DR for 2 weeks. Everything settled down. I was not nauseous, but my energy and libido also went away. I re-started it and am nauseous again. If the nausea got better over time I am willing to work through it. ## Hello, Ted! How are you? Yes, it should get better after a month or so, once your body gets used to it, but if you change the dose at any time, you should be prepared for it to recur. Did your doctor suggest anything you can take to help with the nausea?

I've been diagnosed with major depression and adhd since I was 10. I started taking anti depressants when I was about 17. After trying a slew of different medications we settled on effexor. I went a long time without a PCP or psychiatrist and insurance so was basically stuck on effexor out of a fear of the brutal withdrawal symptoms. I was also a drug addict so didn't know what, if anything the meds were doing to my already altered brain chemistry. I have now been clean and sober for over one year and in therapy. I wanted to get off the effexor as it was the last vestage of my old life and try something new. My psychiatrist dropped me from 150mg to 112.5 to 75 to 37.5 in about a months time and I'm in my third day of nothing at all. I feel like absolute crap. Brainzaps/pulse...

Will the side effects of MS Contin, (eg nausea and tiredness ) subside after time. I have been prescribed 10mg x twice a day but find the sickness and tiredness is still an issue and hope it is temporary and will settle down. ## Hello, Hamish! How are you? Yes, technically they should. Side effects are usually transient and go away, once your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If they don't ease off, after that time period, then you should consult your prescriber, as you may need to try a different medication.

So I found out that I may have a gum infection and my dentist prescribed me with Amoxicillin in hoping the infection would ease down, as there is a small swelling on my top left side gum and it hasn't seem to settle down. The pain in my gums is excruciating as it comes on in a pulsating form within the two to three teeth parts along the gumline and it will last for about 30-50 seconds and then it will go away. This sort of pain has been ongoing for months going onto a year and I have been to three different dentists and they give me the same answer that its a gum infection? But can a gum infection last this long? I have tried everything of what the dentists has told me to help me relieve the pain but the pain still occurs on a on and off everyday basis, Sometimes what triggers the p...

Did you experience any of the other side effects that the FDA lists, such as dizziness, nervousness, or insomnia? ## No, I really only experienced the headaches and nausea.
