B vitamins are a class of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism and synthesis of red blood cells.[1] Though these vitamins share similar names (B1, B2, B3, etc.), they are chemically distinct compounds that often coexist in the same foods.[1] In general, dietary supplements containing all eight are referred to as a vitamin B complex. Individual B vitamin supplements are referred to by the specific number or name of each vitamin, su...

I am scheduled to start Efudex Nov. 2 and am apprehensive based on a friend's bad experience and other things I've read. My Dr. said that things have improved dramatically within the last year with a better formula. He said I will use the cream twice daily for 5 days, then he will see me to place a neutralizer on my face, and then I will heal the 2nd week; reducing the experience from a 4 to 2 week timeframe. Has anyone else heard of this or experienced this? ## Hello, Gina! How are you? What type of bad experience did your friend have? As to an improved formula, that might be true, but the active ingredient that could cause any side effects remains the same, so the FDA still lists them as possibly including skin redness, flaking, itching, and peeling. It isn't really a neut...

I was recently prescribed Hydrocodone with Tylenol. It is a new formula per the pharmacist (5-325). I have had this drug in the past and found that it worked well. This new formula isn't helping my pain. Can you tell me why? I know I had Lortab before. Is this the same drug? Thanks ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? This isn't a new formula, nor a new dosage. There are several on the market that contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, including Lortab, Norco, Vicodin and others. As to why it's not helping, it just might not be the right dosage or the right medication for you. Just because it has worked in the past, doesn't always mean it will work again, since our bodies do change with time. Learn more Vicodin details here. Have you contacted your doctor about it? ## That...

I took Levoxyl for about 10 years. I have tried almost all other drugs synthroid, unithroid, armour, cytomel and Levoxyl worked the best, when it went off the market they put me on generics and that didn't work. I than tried tirosint that was stronger than my 137 mg levoxyl. When I heard Levoxyl was again available I got my prescription refilled and thought I'm going to feel better again. I did'nt, I'm not sure that they haven't changed the formulation . Has anyone else had the same situation? ## I've taken it for 24 years prior to it going off the market & always felt fine. Since it was reintroduced I also have not felt well. In fact on the same dose, my TSH was 19.8 when analyzed 11/2015!! Doc has no answer for me. Thinks it is absorption problem. I told hi...

By congressional order, to reduce addiction in the population, all Norco drugs have been reformulated and the new formula has NO effect on severe or moderate pain. ## That is not correct. All formulations of Norco, Vicodin, Lorcet, and etc. still contain the same active ingredients, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. Congress has nothing to do with pharmaceutical drug laws, as of now, though that could change in the future, however, at this time, they all still contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, as dictated by FDA guidelines. The only change that was made awhile ago was to limit the amount of Acetaminophen that they contain to no more than 325mgs per dose of prescription combination products, in an effort to try to lower the number of overdose fatalities. The FDA also warns that this me...

Has anybody heard of M 30 oxycodone being reformulated? My mother has been on oxycodone for quite a while now and recently had an rx filled and had a few M's that almost instantly swell up and turn into mush when she takes them. They are the same diameter as the other M's but alot thicker and from what she says, they aren't as effective as the thinner M's. Any info would help, thanks. ## Hello, JOTO! How is your mother doing? No, I've not heard of such a thing. Were they identical in color, too? Were there any other noticeable differences? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## The only noticable difference was the clarity of the imprin...

Can anyone tell me if they know if there is any difference in effect between the new formula (round) and the new new formula round and concave? I have the new formula and it is really making me feel disoriented, totally different from the old formula; however, does not work as well for pain. ## The active ingredient itself has not been changed, it is still Oxymorphone, but the tablets were reformulated to help prevent their abuse and, unfortunately, this has caused problems for many people. If you browse this site you'll see there are many complaints that this change has caused people to suffer odd side effects and/or for it to not work as well as it used to. is Oxycontin going back to their old formula? OC instead of OP. ## At this time, Purdue has no plans to return to the original formula. They released this new one, with the specific intention of helping to prevent abuse of the product and discontinued making the original, when they did so. They claim, however, that it works the same and causes the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Are there any questions or comments? ## They re not even remotely close to the original OC formula. I'm concerned about what this new formula might be doing to me. At least I knew the olf formula eventually disolved, I'm not sure about this new version. Hopefully someone will make a similiar version as soon as they are allowed. Same orange pill with imprint "2084 at top/with a fancy V" at the bottom has been identified as suboxone 8mg/2mg it is used in treatment for opiate addiction the new formulated should be availble in us pharmacies everywhere late November although a few states including Ky, Fl, Ga, and Tn carry the new fourmula, the reason in the new FDA approved suboxone pill is the fact that it has none of that dreaded orange taste people hate personally and has a higher longer ceiling affect as a ex addict and suboxone maintance DR. Myself the orange does not bother me but the patients of mine that have ran across the new formula says it seems to work in five minutes instead of 30 minutes and alao seem to last longer. So hopefully if your state doesnt already have them they will surface at you...

Now I will preface this post by saying that this is IMO, and not based on any actual testing, but my own empirical data and experience. The yellow "School-Buses", of generic 2mg Xanax, formerly made my Actavis/Purepac Pharmaceuticals ... Now that Actavis has been bought out by Teva, the bars may look the same, but 2 whole Actavis/Teva bars is equal to a quarter (4mg/Teva=.25mg) of of Greenstone LLC. ## Whatever you do, don't share this perceived knowledge with your prescriber ## Why do you say that?

I heard that all the pharmacy replaced all the original oxycontin (OC) with this new formula that prevents anyone from crushing it. The new pills says OP on the one side instead of it saying OC. And if you still can get the original oxycontin (OC) do you now need to request it from your doctor so he can write you a prescription for the original oxycontin (the pill that says OC on one side instead of it saying OP ## The original Oxycontin has been discontinued and will no longer be available. Once pharmacies are out of their current stock, there will not longer be a supply of it out there. received the new dark turquoise prozac generic about a month ago after years of taking first prozac, and then fluoxetene that was a white capsule with a green and black stripe. the new blue ones do NOT work for me, and the fact that the formulation should be identical is scary! i am much moodier and nervous, AND (after seeing a post below) have some numbness in my neck and scalp that i have never had before! i saw my doc and then called pharmacist and he said i am NOT alone and he is ordering me the white capsules with no additional charge. some things are in my head - this is NOT! ## Yes, I have to agree that it is probably not just in your head. My dr switched my oxycodone 30mg to dilaudid 8 mg. I am wondering how they compare to one another? ## Based on my research, Dilaudid is much stronger then Oxycodone, but it doesn't last very long in it's immediate release formula. Oxycodone has an extended release formula (Oxycontin); which may be better suited for some people when used chronically for long term pain relief. 8mg of Dilaudid is "roughly equivalent" to 20mg of Oxycodone. This information is based on my own findings and is not relative to each individual's body chemistry or cross tolerance, as every drug can effect each person differently.
