for leg cramp ## Have you looked into trying Glucosamine supplements? Glucosamine + Chondroitin is a joint supplement to promote healthy joints during exercise or daily activities in general. It is also used in the treatment of arthritis. Many health food stores and grocery stores carry this joint supplement combination. You can view more information in the link below... There is also Glucosamine + MSM, which may be worth researching as well. These supplements however take time to build up in your system, so you may or may not notice it working for a while. My suggestion other than that is to stretch at least 30 minutes a day and drink lots of water. Please post back if you have any other questions or concerns.

This my third attempt for an answer. I have been on Mobic since April 2014. Also Lyrica increased from 300 to 600 daily since August2014.I've gained weight also have off and on ankle/feet swelling. Now for 2 weeks my calfs are aching. Is one or both meds the problem Help ## Hello, Marie! How are you? I am very sorry that it's taken several posts for you to get an answer. The Lyrica is the most likely culprit of the weight gain, it is well known to cause it as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and mood swings. As to the swelling, I'd have to say that is most likely from the Mobic, since nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can cause the fluid retention that causes edema. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding an...

I have occasional anxiety so I do not need to take the medication on a daily basis. If the side affects are drowsiness and dizziness, how can this be okay for me to take through the day? If I take it at bedtime will it continue to work through the next day? ## If you take hydrooxyzine at bedtime, it may well still have some effect the next day. However, for anxiety, it usually is most effective at the time one is having problems. Check with your doctor who prescribed it, and tell him/her about the drowsiness it causes you. Maybe she/he could try a lower dose for you. That mild sedating/drowsy effect is one way it hydroxyzine calms folks, though. ## There are also other antianxiety medications that you could try, such as BuSpar (Buspirone), it doesn't cause the same continual fatigue...

I've been advised to stop taking blood thinners pre-op and want to know if any of my meds or vitamin supplements are blood thinners? ## Hi Leonard, Can you please take a moment to list the specific medications and vitamins or supplements that you're currently on? There are many substances (both prescription and OTC/natural) that could fall under this category; so to narrow it down based on your unique situation would make providing an answer much easier. I have been using jublia every night before bed for 4 months, I'm only on my second bottle, with my insurance it only costs me $30. It lasts a lot longer than 1 month. I have seen great results in a short period of time, very satisfied with this product. ## Hello, Bee! How are you? I'm so glad that Jublia is working so well for you. Have you experienced any side effects, such as those listed by the FDA, which may include skin redness, irritation and ingrown nails? So far, it's kind of had mixed reviews, with many saying it didn't work for them, or didn't last as long as it should have. Has anyone else had good luck with Jublia? ## I've been using Jublia for about 10 months and the fungus is gone. No side effects at all. It definitely worked for me.

Please post back if you do. ## I was prescribed it to help deal with severe chronic pain and what goes with that. Although it wasn't prescribed for depression, I suffer from that due to chronic pain and PTSD. WELL This is marketed under the brand name Klonopin and it was a trade off. I would be able to sleep (it's extremely sedating), but for the next 24-36 I would be a different person. Almost like a zombie. Worst side effect I had was it takes away any coordination, slurred speech, and w...

I'm wondering if anyone has switched from the brand wellbutrin to the generic buprop 24 and has noticed a difference. It seems to me that my depression is returning on the generic - or is it just my imagination? ## No, it is not likely just your imagination. There can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient between the name brand and the generic. The FDA does allow them to differ by as much as plus, or minus 20%. For most people, these differences aren't significant and don't cause any problems. However, if you have been taking the brand name for a long time, or a sensitive to medications, then any slight variation may cause you some problems. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? You might want to have them write your prescription as 'brand medic...

The U.S. War on drugs makes it hard to get a Dr to prescribe for long term use. ## Hello, Rob! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. There isn't anything available over the counter that is really as effective. However, some herbs that may help include Chamomile, Green Tea, Hops, Valerian, Lemon Balm, Passionflower and Lavender.
