Extended cycle use of COCPs may also be called menstrual suppression,[2] although other hormonal medications or medication delivery systems (hormonal intrauterine devi...

I'm looking for a doctor in portage, lake station, merrillville, Gary area that will prescribe either norcos or percets to ppl with pain issues. any suggestion would be of great help! thank you ## Hello, Riley! How are you? I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with those places. What state are you seeking a doctor in? If you need such medications for long-term treatment of chronic pain, due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. General practitioners have been severely restricted on what they can prescribe, how much they can prescribe, why they can prescribe it and how long they can prescribe it. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that could refer you somewhere? If so, that may be the easiest w...

my doctor moved out of state and I'm having a very hard time finding a doctor willing to prescribe Soma. If you can help please let me know ## Try another Doctor? ## I have! They said they or their practice no longer will prescribe them. ## Many drs no longer rx Soma due to the high rate of abuse. Asking a dr to rx a drug like Soma is a way to not get it. ## While it is highly abused its still just a schedule 4 medicine. I have a Doctor who likes me very much and knows I have had back surgery and was hit by a Semi Truck last year. I have one of 3 refills left and yeas things are changing and one day I expect him to say no yet that has not happened?

I'm on here looking for a solid doctor from people that have had a good experience, as my PCP keeps telling me to go see a pain management doctor. I'm looking for a doctor that still prescribes 30mg oxycodone with no problems. I have 5 years of medical records and continued proof of taking oxycodone but can only get 15mg which isn't enough to make my pain go away. Please help me asap! Thanks {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Rob! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Technically, any doctor with their license to practice medicine could prescribe it, but there's no way to be certain they will, even if they are a pain management specialist. The only thing you can do is set ...

I am a long time pain suffering patient that still needs to work. And pay a lot for opana. What Pharmacies in Portland carry Generic Opana ? Actavis brand or other?. Someone please help. I'm currently experiencing severe sciatic pain and knee pain. ## I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to what they do or do not have in stock that I can refer to for you. Since this is a controlled substances that is very commonly abused, the only way to get an accurate answer would be to go into the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand and ask them if they carry the generic. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I c...

Hi, I am an opiate addict. I have already tried the suboxone route and it was terrible to get off and terrible to be on. I would like to try methadone for awhile and not stand in line. Can someone please let me know of a private dr who prescribes methadone in Portland? ## I'm sorry, but under current Methadone treatment laws, a clinic is your only option. Private physicians are not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment or maintenance. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good clinic in that area? ## This is really unfortunate because I really dont deserve to have to get in line with a bunch of homeless/acrid/foul mouthed/i...

i have been taking methadone for awhile, now suddenly the pharmacy will not carry it, but they will carry the much more expensive pain killers....why is this happening? is it all about the money again? This is killing me. my rx payments went from %54 to $450. I cannot afford this ## I'm sorry, but which medications they do or do not carry is up to your pharmacy. While most are very considerate and obliging, they are not required to carry any specific medications. Have you tried seeing if one of your local pharmacies will order it in for you? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Thanks to Obama. The same reason Epi pens now cost over 500 dollars.

I dont have insurance so i cant afford the expensive pain management clinics here. I need a doctor who will write my rx for 20mg oxycodone or other things i need without the usual uptight doctor response of "only once, go to pain management". I've had 34 ortho surgeries and have constant mind bending pain. I take as directed. Just need what used to be known as a "dr. feelgood". Portland, Oregon ## Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not just on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask...

I need a doctor that will prescribe me methadone I currently go to a clinic for that and I own a business and it's too expensive to pay 400 a month and time-consuming I would like to find the doctor in Portland Oregon or Vancouver Washington who would prescribed me the methadone so I don't have to go to the clinic every day and peaid $400 out of my pocket?? ## Are you familiar with suboxone? It's comparable to Methadone, but much, much better. You need to find a Dr. that's qualified to prescribe it, usually a Psychiatrist is who you need to see. SUBOXONE comes in pill form. You take it 1 time a day. It's taken sublingually, (Under the Tongue). It is a VERY long lasting drug. It won't make you feel high, but it will get you "Well" it's much easier to g...

need a new doc for pain rx in portland. Have insurance, injury, but need to find appropriate relationship. ## Hello, Vanessa! How are you? I'm sorry, but I have no way of knowing whether or not any given doctor is going to prescribe anything. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, having them refer you to someone would most likely be the easiest way to find the help you need. Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area?

I am trying to find a doctor near Portland, OR that will prescribe Qsymia for me. I am severely overweight and struggle with CFS so energy is a major problem when trying to lose weight on my own. ## Hello, Christina! How are you? Unfortunately, there's no directory of doctors that I can refer to for you according to what they will or will not prescribe. The only thing you can really do is see a doctor, discuss your problem with them and ask them about trying it. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they may prescribe it, or refer you to someone that can help. Qysimia is an extended release medication that's used to aid in weight loss. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and anorexia. ## Let me know if you found a Doc!

I'm very sorry that you're in pain. I'm assuming you mean Beaumont, TX? If you require regular, ongoing treatment for chronic pain, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. There are also no guarantees that such a doctor will prescribe anything. You'll need to set up an appointment, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records and then discuss your treatment options at your appointment. I was on a contract with my family dr for over 4yrs he retired and his replacament doesnt believe in them ive tried every thing possible and meds are the only thing thwt has helped I was born disabled and its in my bones and only will be getting worses ## I'm sorry you are in pain. The state I live in is just as bad. I hate to say it but we as a patient have to get a pain management physician. You will also have to have a strict contract with him or her. Unfortunately, pain physicians are being overwhelmed because family physicians will no longer prescribe for anyone. Unless you are lucky enough to find one who does. It took me over 20 years to find a pain physician. My spine is shot but they didn't care. I will warn you though, pain management is expensive. Its well worth it if...

I am looking for a list of Suboxone providers in the Portland Oregon area that accept Medicare as payment. Suboxone for Pain Management specifically. ## There is no specific list of doctors that prescribe it for pain management, because actually any doctor can prescribe it for that, just like Methadone. The specialty lists are just for those that need it for addiction treatment. Learn more Suboxone details here. However, the problem you may run into is if you are contacting doctors and wanting them to prescribe a specific medication, because most doctors will consider that drug seeking behavior. The best thing you can do is find a pain management specialist that accepts your Medicare and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. If they see what has and hasn't wor...

suffering from cronic headaches and neck pain due to a variety of events ## looking for a new dr. who will be willing to give me the same meds as I was taking before I moved here, they are narcotics that I take on a regualar basis for headaches and neck pain, hydro codone 10 to be exact, where I came from it is tough to find a dr. who will help you, how will I start over in Portland to find a helpful Dr.? ## I'd suggest looking for someone that specializes in pain management and making sure that they get a full copy of your medical records from your prior doctor. In many cases, if you go in asking for a specific medication they will see it as drug seeking behavior, but they can see what works for you as documented by other physicians, they are more likely to prescribe accordingly. I need a psych Dr who will help.me out here in Portland Oregon willing to drive elsewhere if I had to. Pls help! ## Hello, Emily! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. However, once you've been to a Methadone clinic and have that in your medical records, you'll have to stick with the clinic. Even if you didn't go for addiction treatment, the clinic treatment is listed in your records and it would be illegal for a regular doctor to prescribe the Methadone for you. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit fo...
