Placebos

I was prescribed Librium for alcohol withdrawal but the pills do not work. There is only a simple "25" on the pill. Are they placebos? ## Librium isn't a very powerful benzo, albeit the first one ever created. Based on the fact that they do come in 25mg capsules they are probably real. If you're going through alcohol withdrawal it's not going to be pleasant.. even WITH Librium. It's probably still working in the background of your mind and nervous system, preventing convulsions and helping tremors, although you may not realize it. Call your doctor and ask if you can get Ativan instead. It's stronger. I'm a recovering alcoholic and have been through detox several times. I have been given Fluoxetine capsules and I'm wondering if they are placebos? I opened one up and to me looks white powdery and kinda fluffy is this Fluoxetine? ## Do you have a picture? Or can you describe the capsule? I have Fluoxetine capsules in 20mg and 40mg. I do not take them as they did not work for my body but I can tell you if you have legitimate capsules.

Hi y'all. I started my new pack of lo loestrin sept 14. Prior to that date my placebos would have been weds, thurs, fri, & sat. I did not take any because I thought the were just sugar pills. So I had my break week I just didn't take the pills. I have not got my period is that suppose to happen? I've been on Sprintec for 5 months and I skipped my first set of placebos and I started bleeding and have been for a week now. I'm guessing its breakthrough bleeding but it's bothersome. Hi, everyone! I'm taking the 28-day pills and started on the 1st Sunday after my menstruation. Today is my 1st day of mens. and I want to start a new pack but I still have 3 placebos left. You should start the new pack on the normal day, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. That late in your cycle, the chances of it having allowed ovulation to occur are very slim, but you should use backup protection for the first 7 days of the new pack, just to be safe. This is my second pack of triprevifem and I didnt skip my period last month. But right now im on my 2nd pack and week of placebos and I havent started. I was suposed to start monday and its tuesday. It is normal to sometimes skip your period, when taking oral contraceptives and is usually nothing to worry about, unless your doctor thinks otherwise. As long as you didn't miss any tablets, you aren't likely to be pregnant. But missed periods, irregular bleeding and spotting can all be side effects of hormonal contraceptives. So... I was going on a cruise and according to my birth control, I was going to be on my period, so, I purposely took the placebos before the cruise in order to get my period, then while on the cruise I would be on the pill. While on the cruise I had intercourse, and now (4 weeks later) I am spotting brown very sporadically. Is this normal because I messed up my pills? I have a sleep issue. It seems that once 11 pm or so comes around there is no way for me to fall asleep unless I take something to help me. I have been taking Temazepam 30 mg for over a year. I mention placebos only because I only hear about them because of 'studies' conducted, usually which results in the fact that placebos usually work almost as good as whatever there being substituted for. I just rec'd 30 of these, but they have NO effect. Tooth/gum pain. Am used to oblong tramadol tablets - which, although weak, have an effect on my pain. Now we're getting these AN 627s. These are like placebos. ## these are the REAL thing, not a placebo. They are the SAME as the oblong tramadol. ## AN 627 does contain 50mgs of Tramadol, however, there can be some differences in generic drugs, so they may not work as well as the others you were getting. ## These don't seem to be as strong as some of the other tramadol I have taken, such as the Mylan. I've had 22 5mg Valium in the last 24 hrs and some vodka (I never drink, i bought this to get through Christmas but gave myself alcohol poisoning instead) and the only thing that's happened is my balance is a bit iffy, that is literally the only thing i've noticed, are they placebos or what, I got them because my life sucks and i go mad when things go wrong, no change there either, I don't feel any different. ## Valium and vodka are a BAD mix.
