Does 15mg er (of X) mean that the blood level of drug X is maintained @ 15mg over 12hr or does it fluctuate significantly? ## Hello, JR! How are you? That means that it's a total of 15mgs that is released over the given time period, but it is released at a carefully calculated steady rate, as explained by the NIH. So, just a portion of the 15mg dose is released regularly. Is there anything else I can help with?

why are the xanax is that say then mix on one side and the two on the other side as hard as a rockI'm wondering if they're fake or if they're real but they look exactly like the pictures only when you break them and the 4th if you try to bite into one of those little pieces your break your tooth ## You are NEVER supposed to break a timed release pill, or compromise any pill other than a solid non time release pill. Did I say that right? ## Eddy is correct! Thank you, Eddy! It is very dangerous to break, cut or chew a time released medication, since it could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. The xan G3722 don't do anything for me. I use it to sleep or if I have a panic attack. Since they don't work within 20-30min they do me no good. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just not working for me. I have been on n off the regular 2mg 17 years n never had n issue of them not working and yes they are from the pharmacy. Thanks in advance for the advice. ## The G722 are just regular 2 mg pills. Xanax XR are 3 mg. I have many different types of Xanax bars, including the G722's and always break them in half. The less Xanax taken per dose is always best ## I have svt and the er doctor put me on dilitam 120 mg er that do not work for my blood pressure at 137/85. When I take this it goes up to 152/91.. up and down. What does blood in the urine mean?

I take morphine 15mg extended release tabs right now and I normally take 1 Hydrocodone 10-550's but Im out of those right now..Im wondering if taking another morphine would be ok? I took the first one at 8:00am this morning and its now 7 hours later..Im in pain! ## While they do make 30mg Morphine sulfate extended-release tablets, I know that everyone reacts differently to different doses, based on tolerance - So I can't necessarily imply that a higher dose will still benefit you, in contrast to any possible side effects that come along with it. For that reason alone, it would probably be wise to discuss this approach with the doctor who prescribed you both medications, just to be on the safe side. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Morphine Details How long have...

I've been on metformin extended release for about 3 1/2 weeks now. I have not noticed any improvement in my symptoms, I'm taking it for insulin resistance and pcos. I've been monitoring my blood glucose as well and no change there either. My concern is that the pills arent dissolving. I read online that the shell of the extended release pills will pass in your stool, and I thought they were just shells. But I got curious since I haven't noticed any changes and see the shells everyday. So I put on gloves and poked one of the shells and the inside was filed with white contents just like the pill. For others on the extended release, have you ever done this? Is the shell usually empty and soft just like a shell, or does it too have the white contents? My doctor is out of the...

Just want to know if extended release ofloxacin shold be taken once or twice daily ## Hi viv, The "usual adult dose" is taking 200-400mg every 12 hours for 7-10 days; depending on the type of infection and how severe it is. Although I can't confirm it, I do believe that this is pertaining to the extended-release version of the drug, since it says "every 12 hours"; when typically these types of drugs are more or less like every 4-6 hours or so. I also find it odd that your prescription doesn't have a label with any information on how or when to take it; if anything but for your own general safety. Personally, if I didn't have any instructions from my doctor or pharmacy I wouldn't even take it. But the next best thing in my honest opinion would be to follow...

Can someone please tell me what this round white pill is that has R/P and 5 on the other side? I know it's a 5mg Percocet but I don't know if it's extended release or quick release? Please let me know ASAP. Thank you. ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. The tablet in question, however, is manufactured by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Since MS Contin is now made by Rhodes, I have heard there is a new brand name ER Morphine. Is anyone familiar with this? ## The Morphine ER is not a new brand, that is actually the generic, it has been available for years. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. The original name brand, MS Contin, was manufactured by Purdue Pharma. There is a generic available from Rhodes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Verwon, Rhodes, I know is a generic company ran by Purdue, also maker of Oxycontin, they just switched their MS Contin to Rhodes, who makes very weak generic meds. I have Oxycodone 15mg and I want to know if they are extended release? They are green and round with 4811 stamp on one side and V on the other side. ## No, they are not. These are manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals and they list them as being a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. At this time the only time released formulation of it that is available is the name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Is there anything else they can help with?

I need to find out if I can cut my pills in half or in 1/4's and still have the medication be extended release and still help with my pain? I have never done it before and I do not like taking the pill all at once. ## No, it is not safe to cut a time released pill, if you prefer a lower dosage, you should speak to your medical provider and ask if they will prescribe one for you. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

I have been on 15mg Targin every 12 hours for nearly 4 years. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and suffer with pain daily. The Targin has worked well, but on two separate occasions, I dropped the tablet without knowing. The second time was yesterday. I was feeling pain, I was stuffed up in the head, nauseous, had a runny nose, etc. I didn't know what was wrong until I found the dropped tablet. I realized that these were signs of dependence and although I have never gotten anything but pain relief, no euphoria or buzzes or whatever they are called, I am pretty sure this counts as an addiction. I was so careful to rarely use my 5mg Endone for breakthrough pain, taking paracetamol first, etc... What would be the easiest way to get off these tablets? Would having one Targin in the morning ...

I've got bad anxiety, thanks for ur help!!! ## Hello, Shy! How are you? Why did your doctor change your dosage? That is twice the amount you were taking, so it is more potent and may cause more drowsiness, dizziness and sedation. I can't really say for sure how it will make you feel, the only thing you can do is try it and see, but watch for any danger signs, such as severe dizziness, severe sedation and shallow breathing. This medication also carries the risk of being habit formin...

How long does ER 60 mg morphine give pain relief per dose? ## Hi, Jane! How are you? Bottles are stores properly. Any suggestions or should i take them to pharmacy and ask ## Hello, Traci! How are you? Some settling of the contents may have occurred. How can you tell if a .05 mg of larazepam is extended release vs. non extended release? ## Hi Anita, Based on my research, Lorazepam is not available in extended-release form so you shouldn't have anything to worry about in that regard. :) Although, in the event that something might be extended release, you could always just look up the imprint on the tablet to determine those details. (That is of course provided that you obtained it from a legitimate pharmacy and has a marking for identification?). I hope this helps!

Is this pill as strong as a OxyContin 80mg? I found it in my new apartment on floor by window ## They are the same. WARNING with no or low tolerance this dose COULD kill. Don't cut it either. Dump it down the toilet. Very dangerous esp to kids or pets. Don't mess with oxycodone at this high of a dose. It's only for ppl with a very high opioid tolerance. ## Actually, without knowing the markings on the tablet, no one can be certain if they are the same or not. From what has been posted, it could be assumed that they are, but only the markings on the tablet in question would enable someone to check and say with any certainty. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Can you post back with more details, such as the markings on it? If so, then I will gladly check the information on it...
