Could this medicine help with my TMJ symptoms include buzzing noise in ears. When tried I seem to notice noise more & become anxious. ## It can help with some types of nerve pain, I'm not sure how much it will help with TMJ, but it is worth trying, if your doctor approves. And most antidepressants can cause such side effects for the first few weeks, while your body is getting used to them, according to the NIH. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Has there been any change? ## I am going to start doxepin 10 mg tonight. It is worth a try. Hopefully it will make me deal with the buzzing in my ears, and TMJ symptoms a little bit better..and maybe be able to get some sleep

Has anyone taken humira for TMJ arthritis. ## Hello, Sanela! How are you? TMJ is a stress disorder of the jaw joint, which isn't usually related to arthritis, so an arthritis medication would not usually be used. Do you have arthritis in some form that may be causing some jaw pain? Or do you just have the TMJ? Has your doctor suggested trying Humira? ## Hi there, Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) occur as a result of problems with the jaw, jaw joint and surrounding facial muscles that control chewing and moving the jaw. These disorders are often incorrectly called TMJ, which stands for temporomandibular joint. My son has TMJ arthritis. He's been diagnosed with JA when he was 2 (he is 18 now); mostly had his knees, ankles affected. For the past several , it is his TMJ. And yes, h...

I am on my second round of Flagyl for C-Diff and I am still so fatigued and I have all the symptoms of TMJ. What can I do to feel better? ## Hello, Ora! How are you feeling? I am very sorry that you've been so sick. However, right now, it's really just likely going to take time, before you feel better. On top of the infection, you've likely also got some medication side effects going on. How much longer will you be on them? ## I will have another 7 days because this Flagyl round is for 14 days. Thank you for responding.

Had TMJ like 40 yrs. Now it is popping I don't believe others hear it just in my head. ## Hello, Kira! How are you? That is one of the typical symptoms of TMJ, according to the NIH. You may also experience jaw pain and stiffness. And there is a chance that others may hear the popping, sometimes it is loud enough to be audible to others. I've had several people comment on mine, when they heard it. Have you consulted your dentist? ## Oh yes in the 80's I had a cast made, but it was not a cute. The latest dentists answer was to file down my bite. This popping just started I have anxiety I think when stressed is the aggravator of the pain. Not sure why popping occurred by it is very aggravating.

Ok I need to know what a blue oval football looking pill is. It says M on one side and 312 on the other. It has a line between the M and the 312. Could it be a Lortab? ## Hopefully you got your answer by now but it is NOT hydrocodone or Lortab. It is generic verampil (name brand Calan, NDC 0378-1180). It is 180mg extended release tablet that is a calcium channel blocker. It is used to lower high blood pressure. ## No, that's not a lortab.... ## I have been taking Lortab for about a year now to help control severe fibromyalgia and severe TMJ. I have had 2 surgeries and am awaiting another, but I am very concerned. Aside from the risk of dependance, withdrawl and liver damage from Acetaminaphen, what other damage could I be doing to my body. Currently my doctor has prescribed Lortab 7...

I had a righ neck dissection 2 weeks ago from thyroid cancer and also dealing from TMJ at the same time. TMJ pain so bad I can even explain it. Ear pain jaw pain face pain neck pain. 4 mg hydromorphone doesn't work every 4 hours for this pain. Anyone else dealing with this TMJ pain or thyroid cancer surgery?? I will be seeing my doctor next week to ask him what my options are for this pain. It's just not enough. ## Hello Chris! How are you? For the TMJ pain, your best bet would be to see a dentist, rather than your GP or surgeon. For the best results and best pain relief, you need someone that has been specially trained to deal with that. Do you grind your teeth at night? ## Hi Verwon. I do grind my teeth at night and use a mouth guard. It helps a little with pain. My dentist ju...

I'm having problems with painful gums and sinus swelling, pressure and pain. Probable TMJ. Before I try to see a dentist (I have no dental ins), which antibiotic should I ask my doctor to prescribe to clear up the infection? I know she will know, but I like to know before I ask. Thank you for any advice. ## Hello, Mimi! How are you? TMJ is not due to an infection and antibiotics will not treat it. TMJ is due to a problem in the jaw joint that causes pain and inflammation and it needs to be treated totally differently to reduce the inflammation and prevent the problem from recurring and worsening. Thus, you need to consult your dentist for proper treatment, if it is TMJ. An antibiotic will only treat a bacterial infection and there isn't any particular one that would be better th...

I have tmj arthritis in my jaw and my disc has deteriorated over the years . I have taken hydracodone for the pain as it is the only thing that takes away the pain enough to where I can do my exercises to make my muscles work again. It always happens early in the morning beacuse after sleeping on it all night i wake with stiff and a lot of the times lock jaw (very painfull) and use of it through the day makes it not work by early evening. I always get the same script. And never have any problems with it. This months script was different so I called the pharmacy and they said they changed manufacturers and the ingredients were the same. Uh nooooo. From 20 minutes after me taking the first pill I was imediatly sick and the headache I came down with was gruesome. I also vomited for 45 minu...

I have just been cut off from my doctors for taking too many norco. I've been on them 20 years, have severe tmj and no way to fix it, i am now without anything and am really on the verge...... I need a doctor or if anyone knows anyone where i can get rid of the pain. I was laid up for 3 days with this problem, can someone help? please ## You should probably been on a extended release med, since your pain is chronic. Also, always consult your doctor if your doseage is not no longer working for you before taking more than prescribed. Norco is not a good med to be on for a long period of time due to the tynlenol. Bad for your liver. Besides all that, where do you live? Maybe we can find a doctor for you in your area/ state. Sorry your in pain. Donna ## I live in temecula and like i sai...

I take Lyrica, Tramadol, Effexor, Vyvanse, Valium (I have been on this medication for the past forty years because I have TMJ and it works as an muscle relaxant), Hyoscyamine, Dexilant, Singulair, and vitamins. Could any of these drugs (along or in combination) be causing me to experience amnesia? I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD. ## Hello, Laura! How are you doing? I am sorry to read of the problems you've been having. Regarding the amnesia, or forgetfulness, that is listed among the possible side effects of Lyrica and Tramadol, while Vyvanse, Valium, Singular, and Hyoscyamine can all cause nervousness, and other ADHD-like symptoms. (Remove the Vyvanse, if you weren't taking it, when the ADHD appeared.) There is no way to say if your issues are due to just one of them, o...

I suffer with TMJ disorder. I am taking acetyl l-carnitine, probiotics, and nerve shield. None of this seems to be helping me. I don't know what else to do. Please help me!!! ## Hi Tee, I'm so sorry to hear that these supplements haven't been working for you. Did a doctor recommend that you take these supplements? Based on my research, the best supplements for TMJ are ones that will reduce inflammation of the jaw as well as relax the muscles. All of the supplements you've mentioned seem great, but I don't quite understand how they can be effective for TMJ. Have you tried any other treatments like acupuncture or essential oils? The essential oils lavender and chamomile may help you to relax and release the tension in your jaw. Also, copaiba oil has immense anti- infla...

I have had one only PROLIA injection this was eight months ago, no second for me!! my first side effects set in for me 5 months in with a stiff and very painful neck plus TMJ pain, these two have subsided some however my latest is ITCHY scalp, I a wondering how long this will last? Two months in I had a bleed in the back of my eye, this is now improving very slowly, to me it is PROLIA related. I know my side effects are minor compared to other posts. I have severe migraine headaches at least 4 times a week, I've had TMJ surgery 10 times, just chewing can give me a migraine. The Topamax seemed to help before the bad side effects started.
