My partner has been on lexam 20mg for over 4 years. Is it ok to be on it for that long? ## Hello, Cass! How are you? The FDA lists this medication as containing the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant. And yes, they can continue taking it, as long as their doctor approves. Some people require such medications for most of their lives. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm(40), a partial seizure patient(since March-15) and using levipil 500 twice daily. After following up, doctor says it would be continued. My questions are- 1. How long it to be taken ? 2. If seizure not occurred from the beginning , then is there any scope of withdrawal or lower dose adjustments ? 3. Possible side effect. ## You should take it as long as your doctor instructs you to do so, it may be the only thing preventing you from experiencing seizures. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain. Are you on any other medications? When was the last time you had a seizure?

Honestly these pills suck they are suppose to be for runny nose and cough but it is no help what so ever! They honestly do not help at all and there is nothing for you guys to say to change my mind ## I'm sorry you feel that way about this medication. In my opinion, a higher dose of Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine is probably in order. The one you have is only 200mg/5mg (a dose more suitable for kids). However I'm also finding it at much higher dosages of 600mg/20mg or 1200mg/25mg combinations. That's 4 to 6 times as potent as the dose you're currently taking. So you could end up changing your mind once you try a higher dosage, that's all I'm saying. I hope this helps! :)

Using a 5mg tab once at bedtime. Can the pill be cut in half to lower the dosage ? ## I am prescribed 10 mg. of Ambien and often cut/break them in half to lower the dose. Works just fine. ## Yes you can cut it in half if it works for you. You can even have it prescribed in a lower dose (I think that it comes in 5), but if you use it long-term it would be more cost effective judt to break it in half. ## Just to add a safety warning for anyone else seeking such information… Cutting, breaking or crushing a pill is only safe to do if it is not a time released formulation. You can only do this safely with regular release medications. If you see something on your prescription label such as ER, XR, SR, CR, DR or any warning not to crush, chew, break or etc. then there is a rea...

Hi all, 6 weeks ago I had my operation and was told that as only half my thyroid had been removed, I would not need medication. My level has come back at 7.87 and have been prescribed 25 mg dose of Levthyroxine to start tomorrow morning. I suppose I am really asking if anyone can tell me their experiences when they first started medication as I am due to return to work on Monday and wondering how I may be affected and what to look out for. Thank you ## How did your return to work go? Have you have any problems since you started the medication? Learn more Levothyroxine details here. I have been getting gg 249, with 4 scores on one side, blank on other. Seem to always have perfume taste! Must not totally be fake or I'd be sicker than ever by now! ## @Ripley, GG 249 is in fact a real Alprazolam 2mg tablet, manufactured by Sandoz. And for verification, it also carries a National Drug Code of 00781-1089. The real question that should probably be addressed here is where you got your prescription filled at (the pharmacy or the street)? "If" you aren't prescribed this medication through your doctor, how can you trust that you what you received is what 'they' tell you it is? The answer to the latter one is you can't trust anyone but a licensed pharmacy to dispense real medication. However, if there's an ingredient inside causing a perfume ta...

My man used oxycontin fairly responsibly up until the last 8 months. Now, when he gets his prescription filled, he stays up all night doing God-knows-what. The next morning, I've found things in places that make no sense. He breaks and loses things. Often, he continues to carry on this way for a few days and nights. If he sits down, his eyes close and he fades away, but his arms and legs continue to constantly move and reach for nothing visible. He's gone on this way for up to a week at a time, then he'll finally crash into a sleep that lasts for days, waking only to take his oxy. He doesn't seem to remember most of this. Can anyone tell me what's going on here? Is there anything I can do? He won't acknowledge a problem. ## well the oxycontin is a time released h...

Does it make a difference if you take 15 mg of Mobic in the am or pm? I already have trouble sleeping... ## Hi Linda, The medication usage guidelines for Mobic (Meloxicam) are as follows: Meloxicam comes as a tablet and suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take meloxicam at the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take meloxicam exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Shake the suspension well before each use to mix the medication evenly. Based on the above information, it looks like you can take Mobic at any time of the day as long as you stay consi...

Any help is appreciated so much! ## Hi Steven - could you please share as many details as you can about this piece of the pill which you found? What color is it? It is more rounded like a pill, or oblong like a tablet? Are there any number of letters appearing on that piece? Hello. I have a year using Nustrate i do not experience major effects on me but everytime my patner (Boyfriend) have intercourse for more than 3 executive days because its a long distance relationship he has back pains and is very convinced that it might be caused by the injection. Is that possible though, for my partner to get effects from my injection. ## No, it is not. The NIH warns that it may cause you side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, and irritability. However, in his case, it is most likely just due to the vigorous activity of lovemaking. Is he on any medications? ## To the best of my knowledge he is not on any medication.

I'm 75 years old and when I was a kid a lot of guys got breasts as part of normal pubescent bodily changes. I developed sore and swollen breasts myself. What exactly time released mean ## It means exactly what it says, rather than all of the medication being released at once, when you take the medication, it is slowly released over several hours. It can be particularly useful for various medical problems, such as pain, diabetes and high blood pressure, to give someone better control over their conditions, for a longer period of time. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for the information !!!

Hey, So my partner started taking gabapentin 3x300mg 3 times a day for rheumatoid arthritis in his feet he's only 29. He recognized this drug as something his friends use to take recreationally and we all know it effects us all differently. I'm bipolar get a little bored and curious not to mention noticed a change in his mood just in general a happier person so I thought I'd start taking them too just for the effect. I soon became addicted to the feeling of not really caring almost superior, I felt I could talk my way out of any situation and just loved life. Of course there's always a time you run out and with us both taking them he soon did. With the pain of arthritis coming and going there was always plenty for me. In the past I have always gotten more pain relief from hydrocodone, but due to my chronic pain and Tylenol in it IM often number up to a stronger medicine, I just got my Medicare and will receive pain management again, are there any versions without Tylenol I could take covered by part d? ## Zohydro ER went on the market this year. It is the first and only extended release hydrocodone on the market. It also does not contain tylenol or any other medication. Because it is new, it is very expensive. It also is a Schedule II. Which means it can't be called in, no refills and you must see your dr at least every 90 days. It does require Prior Authorization for Medicare to pay for it.

I have been taking 145mgs of linzess for a while now. I usually take it at about 6:30 in the morning then I go back to sleep until 9 where it starts to kick in. I am in and out of the bathroom until 12 or 1. Lately it hasn't been working until maybe 11 in the morning, making me waste my afternoon in the bathroom. I go to college and my first class is at 1. Can anyone give me an explanation as to why the linzess is suddenly taking longer to work? I've always ate most of my calories in the evening and I can barely eat throughout the day due to IBS and severe bloating. But my diet has been consistent for the most part. Thank you. ## Are you taking the liness first thing in the morning with a full glass of water, You need to take it even before any other medication that you are on, ...
