I need a pain doctor in Houston that will treat me as my last doctor did. I was prescribed up to 8 transformation a day as well as 3600mg nuerontin with 2 5omg finnigan (so) a day. Can you help me with this, I Have No insurance so really cannot afford the doctor referral process. ## Hello, Liddybit! How are you? Unfortunately, there is no way to know if any given doctor is going to continue your existing treatment protocol, or not. The only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with one and then see what they offer for treatment, but make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records. And while I know it's expensive, getting a referral is most likely the only way you're going to be able to get in somewhere to get the help you need. Can anyone suggest a...

I suffer from back and neck pain from 2 car accidents. I live in Michigan. I have always just dealt with the pain but as I get older the pain gets worse! I have been a labor worker for 20 yrs and now I work in an office with great insurance and benefits. I have an referral appointment at a pain management facility. Nothing over the counter works for me and have tried narcos, hydrocodone, oxcicodone, roxicodone is all that worked for me. Any advice on how to get one if these prescribed? ## Hello, Mickey! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Your really just need to see your PM specialist and be honest with them about your pain levels. You'll also need to cooperate with any tests and such that they want done. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be...

I am a cancer patient who found out in hospital that I lost my job and insurance. I need immediate help for pain. Have looked for pain management, don't know who to trust. I honestly am begging for help ## I would ask to talk with the social worker at the hospital, they actually paid for my perscrption. Also ask to talk to the financial dept not only for the hospital bill, but also about the meds, your doc, can several times help. And get ahold of hospice, you do not have to be dieing, and they could be able to help. If your doc makes a referral it can help greatly. They, helped me when I fractured my lower back I sincerely hope some of my suggestions help. Forgot one - do you have a pharmacy you have used? They also have connections! ## All pain docs accept cash. You will not get s...

I am looking into changing pain management doctors. I've been on pain management over 8 yrs. My original one stopped doing pain mgmt last year & it took forever to find one to take my case. Now, i'm starting to question him & would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I'm taking 40MG of OXYCODONE a day & 100MCG Fentanyl patch, plus Methocarbamol. Those are the "main" ones. Any help would be really appreciated! ## Pow dr dropped me over a U/A for alcohol. I'm so tired of the war over meds or medical marijuana. I just got rocked by my dr. Now I'm in search of a new dr who may help in Colorado Springs; even a cash dr till my referral from my primary care dr gets into the system.

Anyone going to a good pain doctor in Memphis that is taking new patients. I am on disability and my wife and I both have r.a. The Dr. we have been seeing for over 10 years has cut our pain meds. If we need something stronger he said find a pain management Dr. He now wants to cut out our pain meds all together. Help please this is such a painful and depressing desease. ## I'm sorry that you're having such problems. New regulations have been put in place at the start of the year that are discouraging general practitioners and surgeons from prescribing pain medications for long-term use, due to the risk of improper prescribing and over prescribing, since they haven't been specially trained at managing pain. Did you try asking him for a referral? That often makes it easier to g...

I need a pain doctor or pain clinic who doesn't require a referral, takes Medicare and Medicaid, who will prescribe my Xanax 2mg, Dilaudid 8mg, Roxy 30, Soma 350mg. I have my paperwork from the hospital state to take these meds. I need someone in Atlanta Ga, or Roswell Ga, Lwrncvil Ga. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. As to your medications, it is doubtful that you will find one doctor that will prescribe them all. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you need to see a specialist, so for that list, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, as well as a psychiatrist for the Xanax. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dr...

I just moved to Nashville and need a Dr. to continue writing my Oxycodone 30mg 4/day. I have medical records & MRI showing I actually need the medication. I can get a referral if needed. I appreciate ANY help. Thank you! ## Hi Nashvillelady, I may not have a PM doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in so far as finding pain management doctors within your general area... Just input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if any are accepting new patients, as some aren't, but most usually are. The pain clinic on 4941 E Busch Blvd suite 210 Tampa Florida is a wonderful clinic I have been with them for years. I get treated like I am a "REAL" patient. I have chronic back pain. I underwent surgery in april 2015 which seemed to work until I returned to my previous place of employment. Now i am even more unsure about another surgery and just want to be referred to a good sympathetic pain management doctor. I am a self pay patient with no insurance, so the clinic must accept that. Also, I would rather keep the cost of my monthly appointments at or under $200.00, at least after my first visit. My pcp should give me a referral to wherever, but i gotta be pointed in the direction of the easiest pain management clinic in hampton roads, va.....please help...send me text {edited for privacy}

Do any doctors in CT prescribe roxicodone???? I had a laminectomy of T12 and fusion of T11-L1..... It's killing me and I can't find any doc to prescribe strong meds like that. Any suggestions or referrals???!! ## Hello, Bri! How are you? Well, if you're going to doctors or contacting them and asking for such a medication, you could be creating a problem for yourself. Most doctors will view that as being drug seeking behavior and will not prescribe any narcotics, or won't even set you up with an appointment to begin with. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, having them refer you to someone for pain management would likely be the fast and easy way to find the help you need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and...

I am in the process of moving from Virginia to the sewell New Jersey area. I have been dealing with pain management for the last 4 years. I have been on oxycodone hcl 10s the whole time. I am looking for a doctor near the area who will continue my treatment using the pills. I do not like injections. Any recommendations ## Unfortunately, there is really no way to know if any given doctor will prescribe any specific medication, especially a controlled substance. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area that might help?

Is there a pain management doc in Indy that will see you without a referral? I have no family doc but have been seeing a pain management doc since '90's. Is taking away all pain meds except patches. Was taking 10/325 Hydrocodone per day with 25 fentanyl. Every doc I call to see if I can find someone to just leave me where I was requires a referral and records faxed from doctors office. I have my records but they won't take from me. Any help on this would be much appreciated. ## Indygirl, unfortunately there are some patients that try and alter their medical records. That is the reason they want your medical records to be sent directly from your previous drs office. If you can't find a dr that will take you without a referral, you may have to find a pcp. It also isn't...
