Please forgive the length of this post. I recently had an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center in Lynnwood. I have been a pain management patient for over 4 years now. Multiple spinal issues, fibromyalgia, EBV, and TBI to name a few problems I have. I moved to the Cleveland from another state I am very concerned with what the protocol at this location. If you are looking to continue your pain management meds, you can bypass this institution. The spin you'll get is "the cutting edge rehab alternative therapy" lecture. The deer in the headlights was my response. To say I was upset is an understatement. The fact I had to resign from my federal job because I simply could not keep performing with unrealistic expectations. After hearing the rehab speech the only t...

I live in Memphis Tn.I have been going to the methadone clinic for 13 years.I have R A and I can't afford the methadone clinic anymore.I need to find A Dr That will prescribe my methadone. I need help ASAP ## Hello, Lee! How are you? I'm sorry, but a clinic is your only option. It is illegal for a private practice doctor to prescribe it for addition treatment or maintenance, under current U.S. law, that can only be done by those specially trained in its use for such in a clinical setting. Even those that resorted to a clinic for pain, end up having to remain there, because once that is in your medial records, you have no other option. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness...

Have been through just about every injection and nerve frying you can do with no releif. I need to find someone that can help me and not judge me til I can get back to my home state to see my PCP in december. If anyone can recommend a dr or clinic that can help in st louis missouri I would be greatful to say the least. Thanks for your time! ## If you require narcotics for chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. PCPs...

Are there any good drs in or around Lexington NC that will get me back on my pain meds without all the drama? I have been on Roxicodone 20mg 5xs a day, prescribed through my primary care dr. He started to get afraid of prescribing the amount of medication I needed, after 2 years, and referred me out to a pain clinic. In 6 months, I have had 5 u/a's, several pill counts, and it doesn't appear to be getting any better. I have Medicare and 1 u/a alone leaves me with a bill of $62 left over to pay once Medicare has paid their part. The whole thing is just getting to be too costly! Please, if anyone knows a good dr for pain management in my area, please let me know!! Thanks

All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a num...

I need help finding a pain clinic in Puerto Rico. I broke my ribs and I can't find one. I like opana because I've been on it before and it helps a lot with my degenerated discs. ## The FDA warns the Opana is an opiate narcotic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, headache, and nausea. The main question, however, is are you asking them if they will prescribe this specific medication, when you contact them? If so, many doctors will view that as being drug seeking behavior, and will just tell you that they don't prescribe it. The best thing to do is to make sure that a new doctor gets a full copy of your medical records, and let them prescribe or suggest treatments, according, going by what other...

I've been suffering from chronic pain issues since 2006. I recently started going to a new clinic since January of this year. I have fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, neck issue's, spine problems that start from my neck down my upper middle and lower spine, nerve damage in my left arm that starts from my neck down my upper arm and in the hands & fingers. The pain is horrible and never goes away, this includes my entire body, along with insomnia, depression, anxiety, RA, arthritis, carpal tunnel and from time to time it causes shooting pain in my legs. Also for my anxiety I get 90 clonazep g and methacarbamol for back spasms. So far this regime seems to help but 6 dilaudid a day along with 1 30mg oxycontin and 1 kadian are barely getting me through the month. I ...

Does anyone know a pain clinic that perscribes oxycodone and doesn't judge you? ## Hello, Superm! How are you? Due to the new regulations, all doctors must proceed with extreme caution when prescribing controlled substances, or they risk losing their license to practice medication. Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic analgesic that can be habit forming and is very frequently abused, so you really just have to be prepared to jump through the hoops, if you want a doctor to prescribe it for you. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? ## If you find one please let me know! ## Looking for pain management clinics or doctors in Kentucky that will accept patients who have been on suboxone for the past two years.

Need a doc that understands long term inoperable chronic pain I am suffering bad any help would be appreciated! ## Hello, Thunder! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However, there is no such thing as walk-in pain management anymore. The DEA set forth new directives last year that have made most doctor's reluctant to prescribe and, when they do, it is only for patients they have an established relationship with. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## This is thunder I really thank you for the info. I am waiting on a new MRI and I go back to my PCP in 2 weeks. I'm talking to a laser spine facility to get...

Looking for a pain management Dr in Naples, Fl. Currently seeing one in Fort Myers and I think I am going to have to make a change. I need a Dr who will listen to me, not judge me or make me feel judged. I have scoliosis, arthritis, degenerative disc disease and protruding disc and once I told my dr my medicine wasn't as effective, (after 3 years) the PA decided to wean me off of my meds as if I did something wrong for being truthful. I hardly take anything as is, I only take hydrocodone 7.5, 4x a day. And now they have me on 5 3xs a day. Compared to what other people at pain clinics take, I think I'm doing farely well, so I don't see why it has become an issue. I'm so bummed , I really liked and trusted this office after almost 3 years and then suddenly when my dr was b...

As of May 1, my PCP will no longer treat chronic pain. I developed rsd/crps several years ago after surgery. I was referred to a pain clinic; PT; several modalities. Finally got pain manageable with Fentanyl Patches and Hydrocodone. Multiple weaning attempts, but pain was too much. Almost 2 years ago, I was able to wean off of the patches. So now, just using hydrocodone. It keeps pain tolerable most days. I am awake, alert and fully functional. I take 20 mg four times a day. As a critical care and hospice nurse for 30+ years, I know risks and ramifications. I also know I CANNOT tolerate 24/7/365 pain. I just need someone who will continue the regimen that has worked for me for years. I have done it all; biofeedback, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, etc.. I am on full term disability du...

I'm helping my son find a chronic pain doctor, he had a crush injury to his lower leg & has drop foot from the fasciotomy. He has terrible itching, burning and neuropathy pain. It would be so much easier for him to go to a Methadone Clinic where few question's are asked than be seen at a Pain Clinic where we are treated like scum of the earth. Only pride keeps him from doing this. I don't get it. ## Hello, Rhett! How is your son doing? Does he currently have a PCP that he sees regularly? If so, having them refer him to someone would likely be the easiest way for him to get the help he needs. Does anyone know of a good doctor in AR? Has he tried any of the medications for neuropathic pain? His regular doctor can prescribe those. ## It is best that he doesn't go to a M...

I have serious pain issues due to multiple construction accidents and a lifetime of heavy lifting. I was dismissed from Bluegrass Pain Specialist for coming up positive for THC because I was seeking alternative medications in lieu of increasing my dosage of hydrocodone. I am 55 and have two brothers that have died because of high doses of hydrocodone and oxycodone. The hydrocodone really helps, however, I do not want to increase my dosage. I now suffer. Please help. ## If you are lucky enough to have a good Methadone clinic near you, I would go on that. Then, you can wean off, VERY SLOWLY though, like a few Milligrams at a time after you reach a comfortable level for you. Or simply stay on it (called Maintenance). It is an answer for many Oxycontin users. I will say that it is not as go...
