I have a spondylolisthesis at L-5. My pain management doctor wants to switch me from 10/325 Oxycodone to ms contin. How much ms contin would give me the same pain relief? ## Hello Bob! Definitely not oxycodone. I am prescribed this. It is a generic Xanax (Alprazolam) 1mg. ## I'm just curious, who said that this pill was supposed to be Oxycodone? My research also verifies that a round blue pill with a cursive-like "R" on one side and "031" (over a score line) on the other half is identified as a 1mg Alprazolam tablet, used for treating anxiety. For added confirmation, the pill itself is reportedly manufactured by Actavis and carries a National Drug Code of 00228-2031. I had surgery in May for disc replacement in C5 and C6 and was taking 10-325mg of Norco for pain, on October 12th I had a disc replaced in L5-S1 and my surgeon put me on 10-325mg of Percocet and Valium 10mg. I have been depressed at home and went to my primary care doctor who prescribed 7.5-500mg of Lortab, I was taking the other meds 2 every 4 hours for pain and have been dropped to 1 Lortab every 4-6 hours, this is not controlling my pain, my doctor feels I have been taking the Percocet for too long, 2 months, he also took me off my Valium 10mg and changed it to Klonopin 1mg, half to 1 pill twice a day, I have been in a lot of pain for a few days now since changing dosages and feel anxious and depressed, is this acceptable or should I go talk to my surgeon again and have my meds chang...

It is scored so I took half with 2 tylenol. Very little relief but I take 1mg Clonazepam 4 times per day for anxiety and am afraid of interaction. Moderate back pain has not really subsided and I took it 40 minutes ago. Also afraid of a "hangover" effect if I take the other half. is one 15mg morphime IR stronger than two 10mg 325 oxycodone tablets ? ## No, one 15mg Morphine would be almost equivalent to one 10/325 Percocet and the reason I say almost is due to the Acetaminophen in the Percocet making it work better, so it's like having a dose of the Oxycodone that's a few more milligrams. Help me in Raleigh/Durham, NC....I am 31 years old, otherwise healthy male, with two slipped/herniated discs, low (L4, L5) Facet Degeneration, Chronic Back Pain, and multiple other issues with my low back. I am addicted to opiates. Mostly Oxycodone, and Vicodin if I can't find my drug of choice. I am also prescribed Klonopin, 1mg 2X a day. A couple days ago, someone gave me 1 10mg Methadone because I was sick from not having my D.O.C. I was told not to take my Klonopin though because the mixture could be deadly. However I've just learned that mixing other opiates with Methadone can hurt you as well. So I took the methadone Saturday evening. Sunday I took Vicodin throughout the day, but did not take my Kpin. All day today I have been doing Percocet. I have done about 80mgs over the period of 5 hours. I also took my Klonopin today. OK. I was dependent on oxycodone and norco for over a year. Started taking suboxone at just 8mg a day (that's not low, subs are extremely strong). Every 4 days I took off a mg till I was down to 1mg. After 4 days on 1mg I stopped and very light withdrawal for just ONE DAY! Then I was fine! As far as taking norco with suboxone, I just waited 5 hours and didn't go into WD but didn't feel the norco at all. So you need to wait a few days to feel opiates after taking suboxone, but I don't recommend that because you may not be out of your sub withdrawals (just not realizing it) and go into WD. Wait 2 weeks. I went cold turkey of of 80mg oxycodone per day and it was hell, so I can call subs a miracle. If you taper right you'll have almost NO WD! Hope this PSA helps.

I was taking oxycodone about 90 mg a day and ran out. A friend gave me 3 fentanyl 50mg patches which I use for 5 days, I've been clean now for 54 hrs. I was on Methadone for 6 years for back surgery, switched from Vicodin, Oxycodone, Duragesic patch, Oxycontin, tried it all, it ALL sucks, I am all healed up now so time to get off the Methadone, Hardest thing I have ever done!
