They are usually caused by a hormonal imbalance, which is why they may disappear when a woman takes hormonal contraceptives, or becomes pregnant. Have you had an ultrasound to confirm that you have a cyst?

i am 21 year old. and weigh 66kg. i had irregular periods since a year. recently consulted a gynaecologist. blood test and scanning done. my report stated... I missed my periods for two months. After ultrasound a cyst measuring 17mm was seen in the uterus. My gynae started me on ovral g for 20 days, once a day. In addition to that I was already taking primosa 1000 mg twice a day and evion and b-long for the last four months. ...I finished the ovral g dose on this Sunday. I took Chantix for 12 days. On day 9 I was tempted to quit, as the nausea was awful. Finally (accidentally) found that taking the pill with juice instead of water gave me almost no nausea, so kept going a couple days. The reason I quit taking Chantix is because my ovaries started feeling like they were getting ripped out when I was on my period and again when I ovulated. This scared me as to what it was DOING to my ovaries, as we intended to get pregnant after I quit smoking. I'm 35 and have a history of spontaneous miscarriages.
