How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? There are other options you could try, such as Oxycontin, Oxycodone regular release or Dilaudid. I have been taking suboxone for a week, only 8 mg a day, but over 24 hours ago i only took a half of a 8 mg strip, will I be able to feel pain mess now. It's been 28 hrs since i took half strip. ## @Akc, Due to buprenorphine's long half life of 24 - 60 hours (as reported by samhsa.gov), I would probably encourage you to wait a little longer in-between stopping suboxone and starting narcotic pain meds in order to get the most out of them. If still in doubt you could also take a drug panel to gauge how much suboxone is left in your body. But that might be more trouble than it's worth v.s. just waiting it out for an extra day or two. I hope this helps! Please post back if you're able to update us on how things went.

I am looking for a doctor in sioux falls, sd that's not "afraid" to prescribe narcotic pain meds. I've had severe back pain for years, have been through chiropractors, physical therapy, injections, nothing helped. I feel like I just had to learn to live with the pain. Since having 2 kids, the pain has increased immensely, but my current Doc will not give me anything that helps. I have tried meloxicam, gabepentin, tramadol (which I found I was allergic to, though it did help slightly), and feel I am about to overdose on naproxen and tylenol, because they are all I have access to and though they don't help, I keep hoping they may if I take enough. I need something to help me function normally so that I can be a good mother. I hate just dealing with the pain. Thanks in ...

Can someone tell me what medicine they take for sciatic nerve, hip hurts and lower back. I already take norco but this not helping me. ## Hi Deborah, May I ask what treatment options you've already undergone? (i.e. surgery, acupuncture, natural alternatives, heat/ice treatment, chiropractic manipulation, massage therapy, light physical exercise (yoga), eating more plant-based foods etc). I would normally suggest taking advantage of those options before relying on prescription narcotics; mainly because things like yoga and natural alternatives can be done throughout your life without necessarily being dependent on your doctor. I hope this advice helps! ## What alleviates the pain can vary from person to person, so the only way to find out what works for you is by trying different med...

blue oval pill ## Narcotic pain medication come in odd mg. doses like 22 mg. very addictive ## No, there is no Norco available in a 22mg dosage. It contains Hydrocodone, and Acetaminophen, it is narcotic analgesic and its most common side effects are listed by the FDA as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache, according to FDA reports. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. The strongest dosage available contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. What are the markings on the tablet in question?

Will a back surgeon ask me to stop taking pain medicine before surgery? If yes, how long before the surgery will I need to stop. I'm currently taking six 5/325 Percocet's per day. I have a L-4 bulging disc that's pushing against a nerve and it causes pain that is just ridiculous. I've tried Physical Therapy, Epidurals, Chiropractors and Accupunture and nothing has reduced the pain. I won't take pain medicine for the rest of my life. If the pain ever stops I will gladly quit taking Narcotic Medicine that most of you know comes with some annoying side effects. Mood swings, sweating, pain increase when the medicine start wearing down. I have other question but since this is my first posting on any website I just want to see if this is helpful. ## Hello! I'm currently on Percocet 7.5/325 mgs. I was in a accident which broke my ankle and lots of metal had to be put in my leg. The pain meds are no longer working which is causing me to take more than prescribed, which is causing nausea, etc. What should I tell the Dr. to get prescribed Roxys? ## I am sorry that you're in so much pain! You should just be honest with your doctor and tell them that this medication in this dosage is no longer alleviating your pain. But, it would be best not to ask for a specific medication, because that could make them think you're drug seeking. It's best to just let them know and allow them to decide on an appropriate solution. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause...

I was in very bad wreck an insurance is not working an need help with pain an provide document ## @Countryblack, Sorry to hear about the wreck you were in. If you need additional assistance covering the cost your prescription for norco, there's always drug discount cards you can use to help offset the price. MedsChat actually offers a good savings card as well that can cut costs by up to 15 - 75% off at most pharmacies across the US. It's not intended to act as a substitute for insurance, but seems like it would certainly be worth a try nonetheless. You can view/print more details about it here: Rx Savings Card One other thing you ought to know is that many drug manufacturers also offer various types of patient assistance programs for those who meet certain income qualifications...

need a list and pictures of all narcotic pills to teach my teenager ## I am afraid that will be virtually impossible, at least on the pictures aspect. The reason for this is that when medications are available for generic production, there is no standardized shape, size, color or imprint. The US FDA only requires they have a unique imprint so the manufacturer, type of drug and dosage can be identified in case of emergency, but they are, quite literally, made by thousands of different companies, so there are thousands of pills on the market that contain narcotics and they all look different and have different markings. It would be simply impossible for you or your teenager to memorize all of them. Even doctors and pharmacists do not have them all memorized. There is a list on the DEA sit...

I'm not sure I fully understand the gist of what you're saying, but it sounds like your best bet would be to find some other alternative form of therapy that can safely be used alongside what you're already taking. That way, if they ever do confiscate your meds for whatever reason, you'd at least have a backup form of treatment to help alleviate some of the pain. Have you ever figured out why they keep taking your meds from you though? Surely there's a logical reason for their action, if...
