I began taking zoloft after my second child was born. My husband also started taking it to calm him down because we were both having some mood swings and arguing a good bit since we now had 2 little ones in the house. We've been on it for about 10 months or so. We both started on 50 mg but a few months ago went to 100 mg. I noticed myself really not caring if my house was even cleaned anymore. I cut back and started taking 50 mg again. My husband has also changed. He also doesn't want to get off the couch some days and doesn't care how the house looks and we've been arguing about it. Since I've gone down to 50 mg, I've been feeling kind of paranoid that he doesn't feel the same about me and that he doesn't care anymore. He said he thinks he needs to get o...

My husband died 6 days after taking Atenolol prescribed by a well known heart Dr. my husband had copd and we found out later he should never have been prescibed a beta blocker. ## Dear Kathy, Sorry to hear about your husband's passing. My condolences go out to you and your loved ones who are left to cope. Have you sought out the idea of taking legal action? Would there be any way for an attorney to prove that Atenolol was the culprit? I don't know the full situation here but it sounds to me like the prescribing Dr. should feel at least some sense of responsibility to empathize with you and your family. Having that feeling of closure and understanding that your husband is resting in peace is what I would probably deem most important. Although no dollar amount can replace your hus...

my husband has cancer and also has severe back pain due to many surgeries. He has taken 3 80 ml oxy three times a day. He was recently put on hospice and changed to 2 20 ml methadon twice a day and 1 once a day plus 30ml oxy for breakthrough. He dosent seem to be getting the relief he needs but the nurse insist that is plenty. He also seems to be suffering from withdrawals. Should I be concerned with the dosage change of his meds? ## Yes, if he's not getting adequate pain relief, then of course you should be concerned. There is no reason for them to restrict him, if he has a possibly terminal illness, the DEA doesn't even recommend such for those with possibly terminal cancer. It has been proven, via various studies detailed by the NIH, that it does not hasten death, but provide...

My husband was in a major car accident a year ago that left him on Fentanyl. He started out on 125 ug and weaned himself over this year down to 25. He decided it was time to get off of the terrible stuff after 2 months on the 25s (with his doctor's enthusiastic approval). Last night he started having the withdrawals... shaking, sweating, insomnia, terrible headache, feeling like he wanted to crawl out of his own skin. He took two hot baths and between that and the med he uses for muscle spasms he was able to fall asleep. He's sleeping comfortably now but I am so worried about him. I understand it could take weeks or even months before he feels fully normal again but how long does this initial part last? What can he do about the symptoms in he meantime? Please help :( ## Oh, I pr...

My husband 6ft 279 pounds was left at the hospital labeled as JOHN DOE. As a result my husband died. The coroner office said the cause of death was Opiate Toxicity of Opiates. Which was morphine and codeine. Per the report it was 14.3ng/ML of morphine (Free) and less than 5ng/ML of codeine. I just don't understand how a person this size dies from morphine and codeine. From the information I have gathered this is not really a lot of meds compared to his size. The way my husband's death took place, nothing is adding up. My husband had a problem with illicit drugs not pain pills, so I'm clueless to what happened to my husband. Any input and/or information will help. ## Hello, Alicia! How are you? I am so very sorry for your loss. That's so tragic! Now, to explain this...

my husband had a stroke ## The Stroke may be a part of the problem. If your husband recently began taking Dilantin, it may be a matter of not finding the correct dosage for his body and particular needs. I began taking Dilantin when I was a child. I felt weird! It took a little time for my body to get used to the drug, and for the doctors to find the right dosage. During my years 16-32 I no longer took Dilantin. As a young adult the seizure activity returned. Starting the regular dosage of Dilantin I felt like a ZOMBIE. It took a little while for my body & brain to adjust to Dilantin again. It is frustrating to a patient, feeling like they are living in two worlds at one time. Laugh when you can, it's good medicine! Count your blessings! ## March 17,my husband was put on dilanti...

My husband is a 52yr old avid bodybuilder & health nut and has been for 30yrs. He's never missed work for so much as a cold. On 3/16/11 he fell ill w/the flu. Four days later he was in ER w/what they said was dbl lung pneumonia. Four days he was transported to our capital city hospital. There he was originally diagnosed w/ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome) but after a lung biopsy it was found he had BOOP (Bronchiolitis obliterans with organizing pneumonia). After six weeks on 4/29/11, of extensive physical therapy, being on a ventilator, fitted w/compression hose for blood clots in his lungs & legs & suffering from orthostatic hypotension (his BP dropped to 70/48 everytime he stood up & he passed out) he went home on blood thinners, medication to raise his bl...

Hi my wife has just started harvoni - about 9 days or so now - and she is getting swelling in left leg and also feels like there is pressure in her head. Anyone else have anything similar? Thanks ## Hello, Chris! How is your wife doing? Has there been any change? It has been known to cause headaches, according to the FDA, but the edema is unusual. Other typical side effects may include nausea, diarrhea and insomnia. Is the only medication that she is on? She should likely have this checked out by her doctor. ## Hello. I took Harvoni for 12 weeks, 6 months ago. I had the weird pressure in my head also. It continued on and off thru treatment. It was a pressureb headache. It went away soon as I finished the meds. I also have swelling in both my feet and ankles. Its related to me being a 55...

He has been detoxing for a month and a half. He tapered for about a month and decided to quit all together. It's been rough to say the least. He is a type 1 diabetic. He has severe leg pain (neuropathy) the last two days have been harder than the last month. He is asking me to get him a zubsolv. I am afraid this will start the whole thing all over again. Detoxed this far and I don't want to start over. He is in pain and cannot sleep. He is begging for a day off. Can any one advise? ## Hello, Avibe! How is your husband doing? He should really get medical help with stopping it, that would be the best thing to do. What other medications is he on? Rebound pain, from stopping Zubsolv is normal, he may also experience headache, anxiety, diarrhea, fever and chills as reported by the FD...

I'm am told by my husbands dad to make my husband take wellbutrin Sr 150 mg ta for his anxiety. But he got generic that is called bupropion tab 150 mg ta. And now its a purple pill its round and has a slanted E with 415 under it. He's takeing two per day. What is this drug treat? Please a heads up would be nice.. thank you so so much. ## You made quite a few of these posts and, once again, I have to state that unless his dad is a licensed physician, he should not be insisting that your husband take any medication! Where is he obtaining these pills? In the U.S. these are available by prescription only and giving them to someone without one is illegal activity that could cause serious legal repercussions. In addition, there are always risks of side effects and complications, so th...

My husband is prescribed tramadol, he takes 50mg tablets, 1 pill 4 times daily. But for the last 2 months they said his urine test at the Dr is negative for tramadol. He has taken them every day as prescribed for 2 years as part of his pain regiment for his auto immune diseases. The doctor said if his lab work next month is negative of tramadol again, he will dismiss him as a patient. My husband has 5 auto immune diseases and it took 3 years to get to a doctor who could figure out what was going on and get him on treatments. If he's dismissed, he will lose his biologics treatment for the illness, not just pain relief. Does anyone know why his tramadol is not showing up in the lab work??? I'm at a loss! ## 2 possible reasons...Someone is swapping out his meds with a look-alike or...

My husband heard an ad for this on the radio a couple of days ago and they said if you called a certain number I would recieve 2 bottles of this AF Plus tablets and all he had to pay was a $7.95 shipping and handling. I would like to know when will I be expecting them to come to my home. ## HI, AudieMae! How are you? I'm sorry, but this website does not manufacturer, nor sell any products of any type. This is an information only website. I'm not sure who manufactures AF Plus, I haven't been able to find that information, but if your husband paid with a credit card then I'd suggest checking the statement as it should list that information, so you can get in contact with them to ask. Have a fantastic day!

I knew it! he had been telling me how much fun we had been having and I couldn't remember a single thing. and i found myself sleeping till 12:30 or 1:30 on weekends, and i never do that. sleeping in till 7:00am is late for me. However, what does work like that is Rohypnol, which contains the active ingredient Flunitrazepam, it's also been dubbed the 'date rape drug'. Learn more Flunitrazepam details here. I take cymbalta for knee pain (after 4 knee surgeries). The cymbalta works ok for the pain, but my husband googled it and assumes I am hiding a mental health disorder. Has anyone had a similar issue? Not sure how to explain that I am taking a depression med for pain purposes. ## Hello, Jo! How are you? You could have him talk to your doctor by going to an appointment with you. Your doctor can talk to him and explain it, if you give them permission to do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. However, it is a shame that he's making such a big deal out of mental health issues. They are nothing to be ashamed of and there shouldn't be any stigma associated with them. Is there anythi...

My husband has just started taking vismodegib almost a week ago. We are concerned about the side effects. So far he is doing great. Does anyone have any advice or want to share how they are doing on it? Thank you, ## This drug was just approved to treat BCC in January of 2012, so it's still very new and I don't think it's in wide use yet, since this is the first post I've read about it. Did he have any problems, so far? Here's the current information on it: You can learn more Vismogedib details here. As you can see it's pretty limited. It's the first of this type to ever be approved. Is anyone else taking it?

My husband had been on Azmacort since 1987. His condition before Azmacort was guarded at best. With Azmacort, he was able to live an active life traveling world-wide space available (22 year AF retiree). When we moved away from our Dr. to a retirement center, the new Dr. we found immediately tried to put him on any or all of the Hollywood drugs but we refused. In June, our mail-order pharmacy told us it is no longer being manufactured. We were forced to experiment with Advair, Duoneb-Combivent, Symbicort, etc and he has been in steady decline in health with more episodes requiring prednisone (very hard on him) and antibiotics. We are using Mucinex daily, pocket inhaler of Proventil in multiple puffs and multiple treatments. Today I was going to try to get Azmacort online when I learned ...

He has a tooth ache and wants to take a hydrocodone But he takes high blood medication ## Hello, Guero! How is your husband? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these two medications, but it's always best to check with one's doctor to be certain. Hydrocodone is a narcotic that carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## clonidine for blood pressure can cause bad dry mouth.
