Hi, I know this may sound like a stupid question but I have suffered from Opiate-Induced Constipation for 15 years and have followed several different VA doctors recommendations, none of which really worked or else the VA pharmacy would fill their recommended prescription. My civilian doctor got me approved for Linzess which I have read great things about. By inpacted, I think it means where the stool is backed up and is blocking evacuation but now I am thinking that since opiates cause slow transit of stool through the G.I. tract, that might be the inpaction they are talking about. I have never had a complete evacuation of my G.I. tract (colon), only partial. So which is it? The inpaction around the evacuation point or up through the colon? ## Hello Lartomar, According to Harvard Healt...

Concerned with the side effects of this drug for an 8 year old. Behavior has reverted to about a three year old. Can't do the simplist of things by himself anymore and has begun messing in his pants almost daily. Is this drug meant for child? ## Call his dr. Is this a vitamin or a medication for pain?? ## The trade of this product is actually "Nuran BC Forte". It contains the following active ingredients: Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride Vitamin B Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) Cyproheptadine relieves red, irritated, itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by allergies, irritants in the air, and hay fever. I hope this helps! ## What purpose the tablet BC forte is meant for.. whether the dialysis patient can take this tablet pl reply

I use Tri-Plen Forte for one week and get think and warm knees and ankles. ## Tri-Plen Forte contains the active ingredients Ramipril and Felodipine, these are most commonly used to treat high blood pressure. I am assuming you meant swelling of the joints you mentioned. The peripheral edema can be a common side effect that these medications cause in some people. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? You may require a dosage adjustment or a different medication. In this case, it is very important that you not stop taking these medications, because letting your blood pressure stay out of control can be far more dangerous than the side effects that these can cause. My husband has recently started taking 20 mg lipitor and is experiencing severe joint discomfort after that .Doctor has advised to lower the dose to 10mg .How can we cope with this,if anyone has experienced the same. ## Lipitor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. The joint/muscle aches are very common side effects of this class of medications and in some people they are so severe that they have to discontinue use of the medication and try something else. Lowering the dose may help, but it could still take several weeks for those effects to taper off. Did his doctor suggest anything else he could use in the meantime to alleviate it? ## Thanks for the insight...his doctor has asked to stop that ,as according to him any other statin can cau...

I have been taking Soma and Valium for dystonia because after many trials, is was the only combination that worked. I am now able to work full time. Now my doctor can no longer prescribe it because of the DEA. I am really fed up with the US and plan to move abroad because I was told that that combination or any of the above can NEVER be prescribed with a pain medication either NO MATTER WHAT THE DIAGNOSIS IS. It's total nonsense. The DEA is telling my neurologist how to treat the conditions he is an expect in. ## I certainly don't blame pain patients for wanting to leave the US with all the strict regulations that are now being placed upon every type of health care practitioner. I'm not sure if this could work, but in the meantime I'd even consider trying out a new docto...

Osteoporosis med. Forteo Pen adiministration instructions ## My patient was taking Forteo for 2 months now, but it just so happened that she was not able to purchase another pen ahead of time. Will she able to use the remaining drug in the pen while waiting for the delivery of the next pen? Thank you. ## You should follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer, your doctor, or pharmacist. MJ, it is doubtful, since most will not load and administer it another time, they are meant for their initial uses and that's it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. Please share information about this drug, what it is used for, etc... ## Based on the spelling, I think you may have meant to say "Januvia" (sitagliptin phosphate). Is that correct? Januvia is an oral prescription medication marketed for managing type-2 diabetes. MedlinePlus.gov states that it works by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high. According to the manufacturer's claims, Januvia can reportedly lower blood sugar more than Metformin alone and is said to be very powerful in that regard. Drug Class: dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors - (antihyperglycemic) Manufacturer: Merck & Co. Dosing: Januvia is said to be taken once a day with or without food. I hope this helps!

I would like to order ortho7 for arthritis need phone number or website. ## Hi Jean, May I ask where you first heard about "Ortho 7" for arthritis? From what I can tell, it honestly doesn't appear to be a real supplement. And if it is, the lack of available details on the product is quite concerning for anyone wishing to find more information pertaining to it. Is it possible that you may have meant to say "Arthro 7" instread? The company who makes Arthro 7 describes it as a clinically proven joint supplement, so I'm assuming it may be used for arthritis. Apparently it's available OTC at Walgreens (in-store or on their website) under the following name: "U.S. Doctors' Clinical Arthro-7 Healthy Joint Support" for a price of $35. I have a UTI Pirifur & Fenazopiridina have been recommended, should I use both or just one? ## Were these medications recommended by your doctor? It is probably best to go with your doctors recommendation (rather than someone's online opinion) since he or she would know best, based on your medical history, and various other methods used for determining if a specific drug is suitable or not. In the meantime I think it would be wise to research and try some natural remedies to help fight the infection without the extra side effects that come with prescription medications.

Is Betamox 500mg safe for swollen ang painful gums? ## Hello, Based on my research, Betamox contains Amoxicillin which is an antibiotic. It is meant to be used for bacterial infections including but limited to: acute otitis media, streptococcal pharyngitis, pneumonia, skin infections, urinary tract infections, salmonella, lyme disease, and chlamydia infections. I would not use this medication to treat swollen and painful gums. If you mix a pinch of salt with warm water and rinse out your mouth with it twice a day, it should help to increase blood circulation in the gums and reduce swelling. I recommend using pink Himalayan salt or sea salt, I wouldn't use table salt unless it's all you have available. Do you know why your gums are swollen? Are you taking any medications that cou...
