name of prescription I have, not working ## I can't get the brand that I normally use for chronic pain, Activas, Mallinzroot is lame. I fell like I am withdrawing. Jim ## Hello, Jim and Jay! How are you gents? I am very sorry that you're both having such a problem. There have been quite a few complaints recently about their product. If you can't locate an alternative, you might be better served to try a higher dosage or switch to a different medication, if your doctor agrees to it. How long have you been taking the one from Mallinckrodt? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to the next, so it might be slightly lower than the ones you were taking. In most cases, when the difference is slight, your body will adjust after abou...

My Price For Mallinckrodt 10/325 Just Doubled In Price.? WHY? ## @Mike, Sounds to me like a forthcoming issue with supply and demand. Either that or Mallinckrodt just wants to get a christmas bonus in time for the holidays? Only way to know for sure would be to ask them directly, but even then you may not get a straight answer from a large corporation like that. However if you're looking for a way to help offset the cost, I know this site offers a pretty nice drug discount card that can reportedly save you anywhere from 15% to 75% off your Rx, potentially putting 10/325 below the price it was at before. You can view more details about it on the following page: Rx Savings Card Just print out that card and take it with you whenever you go to fill your prescription and see what type of...

My pharmacy switched to Mallinkrodt generic percocet 10/325. After 3 months of taking them my wrists are stiff; my outer side of hands, pinky & ring fingers have gone totally numb! Also, little to NO pain relief, withdrawal symptoms ie; like the flu, exhaustion, episodic sweating, nausea...as if I’m taking a fake pill! I’ve been a legit CP PATIENT for 20 years; never a problem. Last 2 yrs every generic percocet has very odd side effects. My whole life & persona has drastically changed. Hard to function. What has obviously been added/subtracted, changed in the formulations? Is anyone else experiencing this or am I losing my mind? Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer me some advice &/or facts. ## Regarding the numbness, you should really have that checked out ...

I have 3 herniated disc in my lower back and severe nerve damage down my leg. I've been on Oxycodone 10/325 for the past 4 years. I have always gotten the Watson brand which would keep my pain under control somewhat up until the other day I was given Mallinkrodt brand because my pharmacy had ran out of Watson. These Oxycodone made by Mallinkrodt don't touch my pain what so ever. It's like taking a sugar pill. I'm in extreme pain and don't know what to do or how to go about this. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ## Since they are both generics for Percocet, which contain Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, there is probably a slight difference in the amounts of the active ingredients that they contain, when compared to each other. Under U.S. federal law, the FDA does allow the generics t...

I live in Warner Robins, GA and have noticed that Methadone made by Mallinkrodt (rectangular shaped pill) is now no longer available at any of the pharmacies in this area. I (1) would like to know why I am unable to find this brand anywhere locally; and (2) would like to know who do I file a complaint to about this. The only form of methadose available is from a co. called Roxane. They now have a monopoly in this area and their product is inferior to Mallinkrodt's. The patient's care should be priority here, not the pharmacy's cost of the medication. ## Which manufacturers pill they carry is entirely up to the pharmacies and is usually based on what company was offering the cheapest price, whenever they needed to restock their supply. Thus, it is also not considered a monopo...

I was on Mallinkrodt(sp?) 10/625 5x a day and went to refill at wrong store and have Endocet yellow oval 10/325 one side, E 712 other side, and feel like I'm aching FOR SOMETHING!!!!! Called dr & no help. Idk what to do. No $. ## The pill marked E 712 10/325 does contain 10 mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Endocet. However, the active ingredients can differ from name brand to generics by as much as plus or minus 20%, so this may be what is causing your problem. I really wish I knew what to tell you, have you tried contacting the pharmacy? ## Verwon......endocet has oxycodone.....not hydrocodone???

Are these as good as Endo, Watson, or Mallinkrot? Just wondering cause I never had them. The I.P's suck and give me heartburn and do nothing for my pain. Would like feedback and when did Actavis start making these? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I don't know when they started making them, but they do meet the same quality and efficacy standards for FDA approval as the others. However, the only way to know how they work for you is by trying them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

The 3 Manufacturers are Mallinkrodt/Methylin, Sandoz and Watson Pharmaceuticals. On this day, December 3,2011 I learned that if a generic drug is back ordered in lots of different Pharmacies our HMO's will pay for the drug that is prescribed. All who are prescribed Methylphenidate 20 mg. are being turned away by CVS, RiteAid, including the pharmacies in some Giant food stores . If you are prescribed both forms of this drug do not let the Pharmacist fill one part of your prescriptions and if both are on 1 prescription sheet never trust anyone to complete the refill. They'll fill the one they have and as far as the other part, you lose! ## Finally my pharmacy failure has been explained. I went to my CVS Pharmacy and Talked with the manager about the crisis of this back order defen...

Can anyone tell me how well Purdue 10 mg percocet works? I currently take Mallinkrodt in the 525s because my pharmacy can’t get any other brand in a higher dose. Was prescribed 725’s and my pharmacy stsrted giving me Amneal. I knew that something was not right because they not only made me sick (nauseous and headache), they were not effective. Mallinkrodt work good for me, but would like to take less pills as I have to get the 525’s and cut them in half. I may need to jump to the 10 mg, but my pharmacy can only get Purdue. I can’t find any info on how well they work. What is the most effective 725s and 10s??

I was forced into taking Caraco Norco. This cheap manufacturer should be banned. Mallinkrodt lasted all 6 hours. Caraco when there was some relief with 2 pills lasted only 3 hours. This is how patients O.D. How do we get this ineffective brand banned? Can we get a legal case going against pharmacies for pushing ineffective meds? We have to pay for these meds, we are patients suffering and should be able to trust our medication is good quality. This has to stop. ## The whole premise behind brand vs generic is when the patent runs out for brand a generic is made by the same or another company . The absolute rule from the beginning of generic's is that the are suppose to be exactly equivalent to the brand name. Something extremely dangerous is happening with what some of the cheap comp...

Compared to the mallinkrodt 15 mg oxycodone there is a huge difference. This is for chronic pain issues and the new KVK-t do not help one bit. Can anyone let me know what is going on? Dec. 12, 2011 ## This tablet does contain 15mgs of Oxycodone, but there can be slight variations in the amount of active ingredients in the generics, so you may not be getting the exact same dose that you are used to and it may not work as well for you. The only suggestion I can really make is that you speak to your pharmacy about it and see if they can order the ones made by Mallinckrodt in for you. Are there any other comments or questions? ## I am a spinal cripple. I was given these K/8 Oxycodone 15mg pills a few months ago - they indeed do NOT work effectively. I can understand why. Los Angeles area, Beverly Hills- looking for a pharmacy that carries Actavis 30 mg A-215 Oxycodone pill. My pharmacy carries the Mallinkroft Brand, and I like Actavis. Can someone please point me to a legit pharmacy, my script is legit. Thx ## Hello, I like Actavis Oxycodone 30mg too!! With all of the negative posts about it, I decided to take one of my Actavis 30mg Oxycodone pills and have it evaluated. Indeed, it came back as having 29.3 Active Ingredient. Comparing to other brand mama's and their results, my Actavis pill was in the most high range. That suited me just fine!! ## Hi PepitoK, I live in Beverly Hills area and have a valid prescription I'm having trouble filling this time but do not care what brand...any help with pharmacies in the area that may be able to assist ...

I have been on many different opioids for over five years after a very bad car accident. I have finally been on 60mg of methadone and was getting the mallinkrodt generic or westward pharmaceuticals but the accend generic puts me into withdrawal or I may be allergic to some filler they use but I am in tucson, az and need to find out what pharmacies to avoid or which stock anything but accend 10mg tabs now, but as the war on opioids have made for much tighter regulations I cant call and ask. They won’t say whether they do or not over the phone. Add to that even with a legit paper rx I had 2 major chains say they didn’t feel comfortable filling it because I’m “not an established patient and are not comfortable filling if I haven’t filled there before”. my pill is white with M357 on one side. This pill is suppose to be a muscle relaxer, I have lower back pain - didn't help at all. Any response? ## Your pill is vicodan, or, rather, a generic made by Mallinkro chemical company also known as hydrocodone, which is a narcotic, Schedule III controlled substance, and is also an opioid (synthetic formula of opium-based morphine). The M357 refers to the strength, which is 5 mg of hydrocodone, and 500 mg APAP, which is acetamenaphen--it reads, as hydrocodone/APAP 5/500 mg. It is used for mild to moderate types of pain, and the acet. portion is for inflammation. I have not heard of its use as a muscle relaxant, per se. Flexeril, Skelaxin, or Soma would be much better for a muscle relaxant in your case, it seems. All three are non-narcotic, th...

Mallinckrodt still makes hydrocodone. Depending on lowest bidder, unless a drug is truly discontinued, that's who your pharmacy will stock. I am a tech and our pharmacy just changed to Mallinkrodt which I feel is an inferior product. ## What brand is the least troublesome ? Do you get many complaints from your opioid using customers ? I sometimes break my tablets in half. I've noticed that the brands that give me trouble are much MUCH harder to break than the brands that work effectively. the ones that work well almost dissolve in my mouth I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. ## has Mallinckrodt made upgrades on their MS Contin er inthe last 4 years ## I use to take Mallincrot because it was the most consistent but my Pharmacist stopped using that and this has been quite so...

I've noticed the 10mg k56 and the 15mg a214 effect me differently at the same dose (1.5 ks or 1 a) I know generics are supposed to be equivalent but we all know that's just not what's been happening (mallinkrodt generic Norco Percocet and oxycodone all are not better than Tylenol and their dilaudid is not the same as other brands either. But I was wondering in people's experience and opinion what kind of generic oxycodone provide the most relief. (3 car accidents, 3 surgeries) ## 10mgs and 15mgs are not the same dosage. One is higher than the other, so they will not work the same. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. The Norco, Percocet, and...

So this s what I heard. The Walgreens brand that everyone was accustomed to was a Watson product and apparently a lot of their distribution was in Puerto Rico. The Hurricanes that hit the area in PR affected the distribution and production of Oxycodone at Walgreens. I went to almost all of there stores in mid December without any luck finally I resorted to CVS which had a Mallinkrodt product. Walgreens had to resolve their shortage as they were losing customers that 10 day period they negotiated with Camberwhich is actually a company from India that just set up shop and company in New York September of 2017. So I don't know if that is the product they are sticking with until Watson products become reliable or if they signed a contract. All I can say is I hope they have higher qualit...

Just received alvogen Percocet for the first time yesterday and was very skeptical being that I have gotten the actavis before and had such a bad reaction with no relief at all. After reading reviews I just knew that it wasn't going to work. This medication has exceeded all doubt. Took care of my pain very quickly with minimal stomach upset. I have had quite a few generic brands before from mallinkrodt, Roxane, endocet, qualities, and actavis. Mallinkrodt and Roxane being the best in my opinion. I am thankful. I sure did not wanna have to go through fighting the doc or insurance company trying to get them to understand as I just had surgery and dealing with enough. I really do believe it has to do with your chemical makeup and how your body responds to the med. Except for actavis......
