I'm prescribed 120 tablets of oxycodone every month for chronic pain. I just got a full knee replacement. He then wrote me 180 pills for this month. Is that legal? ## Hello, Leonard! How are you? Yes, they can prescribe more under certain circumstances and its perfectly legal. Generally, they just prescribe more for a short period of time and not as an ongoing thing. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is this the side effect of the drug..? ## Freeflex Forte is actually not a drug, it is a supplement that contains Glucosamine and Chondroitin, which are substances that are naturally present in our joints. It is commonly believe that a lack of them, due to aging or injury can cause joint problems and pain, and that replacing them can help with those conditions. Since it is a supplement, not a drug, the side effect profile has not been studied and I can't really answer your question. Is she on any other medications? ## I am taking freeflex forte capsule twice a day, since last 10 days i have apain ...

I have taken hydrocodone 5/325 for knee pain as needed for about 9months, while waiting to move to a different city. I finally made the move in mid December, and had total knee replacement on Feb. 4. After having morphine and a shot block to that leg, pain in the hospital was manageable. Upon discharge, I was given a prescription for Oxycodone. These worked fine so long as I took two. (rx said " 1-2 tablets"). When these were gone, the doctor replaced them with hydrocodone 7.5/325. These just dont work. To get any relief, I have to take extra Tylenol with them, and then I only get relief for about 3 hours, not 6. Is there an alternative pain med I could ask for? I know he is concerned about my getting addicted, but I didn't get addicted in the 9months because I only took the...
