Need dr to prescribe 2mg xanax bars. Been on them for years, over 10 and my Dr is now saying he can no longer prescibe them for me. In desperate need of Dr who will prescribe 2mg bars, xanax. What does 8mg/2mg mean? Dont know what strength I'm taking? ## Hi Veronica - 8mg/2mg means that the drug has two main active ingredients. And they are 8mg and 2mg per dose respectively. May I ask what you were prescribed? It sounds like Suboxone if I had to guess. For example, a single dose of Suboxone commonly contains 8 mg of Buprenorphine with 2 mg of Naloxone. I was given four pills and told they were generic Xanax. They are white and rectangular in shape (similar to most other 2mg Xanax pills), are scored 3 times on both front and back, and are imprinted with A 2 M G on one side. The pills I received were circle and just totally white on one side and just a line through the other. I can find no website that verifies those are the actualy pills I should have received. I was told it was through a site called Bagos....the problem is, that site only comes in through spanish, I just want to make sure I got the correct pills so I can take them and feel safe. I am prescribed 0.5 (R 33) 2xs a day. However, my tolerance has been growing and I needed more so I refilled my script with (R 35) 2 MG clonzepams. So taking 1-2 of these should be making me feel calm & doing it's just. They're even made by the same manufacturer. However they are not working, for instance If I take about 3-4 of my 0.5's my anxiety goes away and I feel relaxed. But one day I took 1 2mg and within an hour felt nothing, so took 2 more and still nothing (that's 6mg which would normally have a huge effect on me). I got these generic xanax 2mg bars with 11 on them - do they work like real xanax? ## Generic Alprazolam is technically "the real deal" before they gave the drug a brand name called Xanax. Being that they are made of the same active ingredient, I would imagine that they work just as they are intended to work for anti-anxiety purposes. The major differences in peoples reaction to the drug are largely due to different body chemistry and different inactive ingredients in each brand of Alprazolam. If a regular 2mg bar is scored 3x & break up into 4 squares-which are all .5mg to 2mg, then if a 2mg green one is only scored 2x & only breaks into 3 squares instead of 4 then if 4 squares = .5mg each, what mg is each of the 3 squares of a 2mg green xanax bar? ## About .67 of a MG per piece. So a friend recently picked up his script and was showing me some. Well, about 40% of them had the word xanax and were facing upright and I flipped them over.
