My brother is a disabled vet of the gulf war with a lot of chronic back pain and he's got a lot of health problems. Are there any doctors in Joplin MO taking new patients? ## Hello Cindy! Sorry to hear about your brother. How is he doing? Does he currently have a PCP? If so, that would most likely be the easiest way for him to get the help he needs, he can ask them to refer him to someone. Most pain management specialists have been swamped, due to the change in regulations this year, so it's difficult to get in, without a good referral. ## Did u ever find a decent pain doctor in Joplin mo?? I am new to the area, but I am familiar with dr Knudsen ( I use the title of Dr very loosely) nobody should ever use this dr... I have multiple problems.. Desperate for a decent dr.. I need i...

Joplin or near joplin mo pain dr that will prescribe dilaudid and norco that dosent cost $ 500 for the first visit ## I'm sorry, but really that's about the average for most specialists. Do you have insurance to cover it? Learn more Norco details here. Can anyone else suggest someone that may be a bit cheaper? The only other suggestion I can make, if you don't have insurance, is to contact your local hospitals and see if they have a social work department. The people there often have a list of resources to help people that don't have insurance, so they can get the medical care they need. They may even know of a clinic that can help that has a sliding fee scale. ## Who is the doctor in Joplin? I live in Joplin, MO and have been to countless pain management specialists tha...

I just moved to stella MO near Joplin, i dont know the area well, but my oldest son has MD and spinal rods put in his back, he has been in a wheelchair since 3 years old, he is grown now, but i dont know where to take him, he is on lortab, soma and xanax along with many other non narcotics pills. Does anyone know where i can take him and they will not treat him like a pill head, and that would take his insurance, he is on SSI Thanks a worried mom ## Put, Missouri HealthNet Provider Search, in your search bar. Be sure to call and verify that a dr does accept medicaid. You also need to contact your sons Health Plan and be sure that the dr is on their plan. There is no guarantee that another dr will treat him with the same meds as his last dr. The new dr should also get a copy of his medic...
