I know it is an anti-inflammatory but not sure what stops the pain? I hope it's not a narcotic. how long i should take this tablet as the doctor advised me to star rejoint one thrice daily for my knees problems. ## Rejoint is a supplement, not a medication, it contains Glucosamine and Chondroitin, it's believe that injury and aging can cause less of these natural substances to be in our joints and that replenishing them can help with regaining mobility and lessening pain. I took 2 courses of Cipro, one from 1 year ago for 10 days and I didn't have any side effect and I use to workout everyday and the next one from 3 weeks ago for 21 days. after 19 days I start to feel pain in my knee and elbow so I didnt take the last 2 courses but I still feel the pain till now... I am so scared from what I read... I just wanna know if my knee and elbow pain will be permenant or it will takes sometime to go... please HELP ... ## Have you consulted your doctor? They are really the only person qualified to help you discover what is causing the joint pain and, if it is from the medication, if any permanent damage has been done. There is really no way for anyone to tell you that just based on the limited information in your post. What were you taking the Cipro for?

I am a 16 year old girl who was diagnosed with a severe vitamin D deficiency last year followed by hypermobility syndrome. For the last few days, I was having pain and a grinding sensation in my right jaw, when I consulted a doctor he said that it was because my collagen is not as strong as it was before and recommended me cartigen plus and gave me a tooth mask made of plastic . After a few days, I have noticed that I am getting the same grinding sensation in my articular capsules ( upper vertebraes of spine). I am very scared because it is spine related. Is cartigen plus going to take care of this or should I be concerned?

My husband has recently started taking 20 mg lipitor and is experiencing severe joint discomfort after that .Doctor has advised to lower the dose to 10mg .How can we cope with this,if anyone has experienced the same. ## Lipitor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. The joint/muscle aches are very common side effects of this class of medications and in some people they are so severe that they have to discontinue use of the medication and try something else. I am 67 and have afib. I am put on eliquis, but ever since I have been on eliquis I am having very bad lower back, hip, shoulder, ankle etc. pain!! I will be having an ablation in the very near future. When my heart returns to normal I will stop eliquis. I will be taking Tattokinase. It is a natural enzyme that gets the job done without the side effects. Please reserch about the benefits of nattokinase on the internet and get educated about it; it would take me too long to explain things about it here. And tell your doctor about it, demand that he would look into getting informed about it instead of pushing dangerous pharmaceuticals on you!! Nattokinase is a very effective blood thinner, it is natural with NO side effects. Since no body makes big money from it, it is discouraged by big ...

Few months ago I went septic.the doctors say o must take CIPRO for the rest of my life.so I take 750 CIPRO twice daily but my joints hurt beyond believe ## Hello, David! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Antibiotics can cause that in some people that take them, as a side effect. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, side effects usually improve after a few weeks, once your body gets used to a medication. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to have this checked out to make sure there is nothing else going on and to possibly get help for the pain. ## Why the rest of your life? Aren't They worried about antibiotic resistance? Cipro messed me up bad about 2 years ago an...

I am experiencing a tight left shoulder joint and it feels like it is rubbing without lubrication during certain exercises and stretching. What medical remedies/exercises are available to deal with this condition? ## Hello, Doug! How are you? It really depends on what the specific problem is and there's no way to know that for sure from just your limited description. Have you consulted your doctor? You should do so, before it gets worse, as it may be something that's easily remedied. Do you do a lot of heavy lifting? Do you workout?

I was in an an auto accident 2 yrs ago and both knees made impact with dash. At first not much pain but now pain is chronic because of loss of cartlidge.Should I be taking something to help rebuild the cartlidge? And as the pain goes after working all day it's so bad I dont sleep at night and have tried Alieve, Advil, etc. but it wont help. Any advice? ## Unfortunately nothing rebuilds cartilage that the regular person can afford. Stem cell therapy is being experimented with. I used hyaluronic acid shots in my knee for years before I got it replaced. It is awesome. Don't use cortisone shots. Cortisone shots tend to deteriorate the remainder of the joint space. Orthovisc is a series of 3 inj's. Expensive but what a relief!!! ## Hello Fisherguy I am in the same situation no ca...

I have been using fenofibrate for about 4 months. About that same time I started having sharp pain in my left hip area. I thought it might be a hip problem but it seems to be more like a muscle in the top of my buttocks to my very lower back. At times it seems to be more pronounced in the front side like my upper groin area. Sometime the pain lessens some if I am doing more physical activities during the day like mowing the lawn and working around the garden. I have also just in the last couple of days been having severe soreness in my right shoulder deltoid area. I just saw that the fenofibrate can cause some muscle aches. I stopped taking it a few days ago (my Dr.told me to anyway when the last prescription ran out) My question is if these are side effects from the fenofibrate how lon...

I was in a severe accident in 2006 that caused many spinal fractures, herniated disks, and severe damage to my right knee. I've been seeing a pain management doctor who has prescribed me Opana 40 & 20mg. ER's to be taken every 12 hours. He also prescribes me Mobic for joint pain. The Opana does help with my spinal injuries, but doesn't seem to help my knee pain at all. The Mobic isn't working either. Should the Opana be helping me with my knee pain at all? I have been prescribed just about all of the available opiate medications including; oxycontin, methadone, the Duragesic fentynil patch, morphine, and nothing seems to be working. Is there anything available that would help my knee pain short of knee replacement surgery? Any information would be greatly appreciated...

I have been taking Trileptal for about a year for TN. I have been experiencing joint pain more and more. My neurologist thinks this is not a side effect? I just want to know if anyone else has this problem!! Also has any natural ways to deal with TN worked for anyone? ## Hello, Tina! How are you? Your neurologist is most likely right, typically this medication is known to cause back pain, but not joint pain, as listed by the FDA and NIH. My fiancé is on this medication, so I've read up on it quite a bit. Other typical side effects are listed as possibly including weight changes, dry mouth, change in taste, earache and muscle weakness. Are you on any other medications? I took Bactrim about two months ago and approximately 4 days after quitting the drug I developed severe muscle and joint pain. I stopped the pills 3 pills early because I developed a rash and had insomnia and was nauseated. I am still experiencing muscle and joint pain, but it has improved somewhat. Doctors are hesitant to blame the drug for these effects. Since it has been sinking I am wondering if anyone else has had these experiences and/or for this long. ## Hello, Sam! How are you? No, I'm not aware of such reactions to this medication lasting that long. I had an allergic reaction to it myself a couple of years ago and most symptoms went away within a week or two of stopping it, though the rash took about a month.
