Hi. I am a teacher and have children with immune deficiencies who require a lot of attention and infusions every month. I am on Wellbutrin and Prozac. He is now weaning me off the Wellbutrin and starting me slowly on epitec. First 25mg, then 50mg, then 100mg, then 150mg. He said it is to help me cope with my circumstances and make me “thicker skinned”, not because I have bipolar. I am very confused because some people say that epitec has a side effect of gaining weight and others say it has helped them lose weight. I am absolutely paranoid about putting on weight. I eat quite healthily but not when I’m stressed, and I don’t have time for exercise. Has anyone experienced weight gain and are any of you just feeling stuck or unmotivated? I take 20 mg a day and feel bored. When I take Wellbutrin, Prozac and Topomax it made me mean. ## I take Lexapro 10 mg a day and I have gained excessive weight. I have tried Celexa, which I loved. I've talked about this problem before concerning the side effects from Spiriva. The only side effect I've experienced was a sudden, and seemingly permanent weight gain. In spite of efforts to lose the weight I've had no success whatsoever. I've gained weight from other medications in the past only to lose it when the medication was discontinued. Not so with Spiriva. It has been almost three years since I've used the inhaler but yet the added weight persists. I should mention that all of the added weight has been on the midsection and nowhere else! To make matters worse has been a disended abdomen to go along with it. I contacted the drug company right after it happened and, naturally, they acted as if it was new to them! I have been prescribed Meclizine for dizziness, and it is working fine on that part. I was wondering if there was any weight gain side effects from this medication. My psychiatrist put me on Epitec which I started last week Monday, I am on a very low dosage 25 mg X 2 weeks, 50 mg X 2 weeks, 100 mg X 2 weeks and 200 mg X 4 weeks. I have been on Xarelto for about a month and my weight went up 25 to 30 lbs. Before I was on Xarelto I was taking Warfin and I was gaining any extra weight.
