Been on 1 mg of klonopin twice a day. Then went to 1 mg twice a day. Then .05 1 one daily stated having with draws doctor added 10 paxil is that OK ## Is it ok, not really? How long have you been in the process of tapering? Doctors will tell you they are addictive then yank them from you. I was given two bottles of this, told is was much easier to withdraw from than Xanax. Then I found out that wasn't true. If the pain gets worse go to the E.R. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The reason the doctor added the Paxil was most likely to help mitigate the withdrawals. It is an SSRI antidepressant that can help with anxiety and other symptoms that often accompany withdrawals. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

They gave my mom 4mg of morphine in her iv. How long do the effects last, ## Hi jen, According to nhtsa.gov, morphine is said to have a short half-life of 1.5 to 7 hours. They go on to note that close to ninety percent of a single morphine dose is excreted through urine within 72 hours. However, on the contrary, a different report coming from nih.gov states that morphine has a "plasma" (blood) half-life of 2.5 to 3.0 hours. So when it comes to IV administration, this is probably the half-life I'd refer to for a more accurate estimate. Though this is mostly speculative, it's been thought that after 3 half-life's, a medication like this is typically out of your body / no longer working to relieve pain. There are also other important factors that can determine how long ...

How long does feeling last he took one and 5 325 oxcodone his arms here but the not the feel he took at 6pm ## Hi Connie, It's a little difficult to understand the entirety of your post due to grammatical errors, but immediate release oxycodone has an estimated half-life of 4 hours - At which point only 2.5mg out of the 5mg would still be active. I believe this is why typical adult dosing charts suggest taking 1 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed for around the clock pain relief. 5mgs is also the smallest available dosage of oxycodone (at least to my knowledge) - So you could always talk with your doctor about going up to 7.5mg or 10mg if the 5mg isn't sufficient. I hope this helps!

Hi just wanted to know I've been on opiates for ten years I got tired of it so on Thursday nite I stopped taking anything its Sunday football super bowl day but how long does it take to get out of ur system or at least we're the with drawls stop messing with me a sweat about a pound I just want any advice or answers anything to try to help me out ## Hello, Kevin! How are you doing? If you've been taking them for that many years, then it will likely take awhile for all of the withdrawal effects to subside. When I was on pain management for 7 years, it took a little over a month, but the worst of the withdrawal effects only lasted about a week and half. I found that hot showers or hot soaks in the tub tended to help a lot. Have you considered getting professional help from a d...

I have wing myself off half of what was persubscribe to me at the doctors office. My body is in so much pain everday no doctor want to help me. The doctor that prescribed this medication to me will not accept me back as a patient. What can I do ? ## Dear Rose, Sorry to hear about your situation with pain management. HOW DO I BRAKE THE HYDROCODON PAIN MED. HABIT,I TAKE 4 10-350 MG EVERY DAY CARLO ## Hi Carlo, Sorry to hear about your situation. Have you talked with your doctor about developing a tapering plan/schedule in order to gradually wean you off the Hydrocodone? I realize it can't be stopped abruptly without experiencing withdrawals, so this is probably the safest approach (in my opinion). Although if you needed more help with the cravings, something like Suboxone may be beneficial as well? This medication is widely used for treating opioid dependence and there is honestly an overwhelming amount of support on this site from those who've had success with using Suboxone for such purposes. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Suboxone Details, but I'd also recommend bro...

I've been prescribed OxyContin and Roxycodone for 5 years now due to bilateral bone deformities as well as having no cartiledge in both feet. The medicine has been a blessing. About 6 weeks back, I wasn't feeling well, and was taking only half the amount of medicine rx'ed for about 5 days because I'd had at couple of days of severe upper stomach pain along with vomiting. After a few days it calmed down and went away. The 3rd and final bout though, was much more severe, the same stomach agony and this time, more intense projectile vomiting. It was so bad I couldn't sleep or move. My question is, can this be related? Could this be yet another symptom of withdrawal? I've never experienced pain like this but I did run out of my pain meds once, 4 yrs. ago- not realizi...

I have severe muscle pain and joint pain in elbows, legs, shoulders, lower back . Been taking it for about a year. Feels like same symptoms I once had when I found out I was allergic to statins. But it was so long ago I don't remember how long before pain stopped. ## Hello, Turridu! How are you? If you were on it for about a year, it might take several weeks for these side effects to taper off and go away. If they continue after about a month of being off of it, then you should consult your doctor as there may be something else going on. Other side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness and headache. How are you feeling, now? ## Still sore but not half as bad, I have been drinking lots of water and eating fruits and veggies trying to purge the meds from my system don...

Hi, My doctor has prescribed 10 mg lexamil for me and I havnt started taking it yet. I've been suffering with anxiety for a while and taking .5 mg alzam and 7.5 mg zopiclone to manage the condition. However the last 3 months ive been having tight chest pains, been for ecgs xrays etc, all clear..doc prescribed muscle relaxant which works a little bit but I find if i take half a zopiclone it really eases off the tightness immediately. I know this has something to do with gaba receptors but what I would really like to know is if anyone else has had these symptoms and if going on 10mg lexamil in conjunction wit the alzam n zopiclone will help with the anxiety? ## Hello, Ash! How are you? Yes, Lexamil might help more, but it can take about 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full level of efficacy...

I started seeing this pain doctor and she knew from the start that I wanted to continue on with my previous doctors care plan. After I am under her care, she decides she is going to take me off methadone completely without an alternative medication to take it's place. She straight up lied to me. I've been on methadone 15yrs. I need to get off. I'm in pain management for a back injury and the methadone is blocking my percocet. How can I get off methadone? ## I am on both Methadone and oxycodone for pain. As long as you take your oxycodone about 45 minutes before your dose of Methadone and eat about a half an hour after after you take your Methadone, your medication will work as it is supposed to. Follow the same pattern if you take several doses of both medications a day, like I do. Just always make sure you take the oxycodone first, because it sets the tone for the day. I alternate between both and it works amazing. Good luck.

Hi, I have been on suboxone for almost a year now the past month and a half I have taper down to 1mg I took yesterday and today I ony took .50mg, tomorrow and Sunday I was just gonna go ahead and withdrawal, which will put me at 48hrs with no Suboxone in my system. I am have very bad pain issues going on in my back, and was hoping I could take my medicine to aleivate the pain on Monday. But am worried I will go into withdrawals, do y'all think 48hrs is long enough before I take my oxys I am prescribed? ## Everyone's body is different. Me personally I would wait the 72 hours. Because the naloxone in the sub will interact with the oxy and you LL be very sick. So hang in there a few more hours!! ## Post #1 is right about each individual being different when it comes to determining ...

What the heck did they take vicodin off the market for? I know acetaminophen.... bad for your liver?.. the main ingreediant in over the counter tylenol. Ten years ago I was in a accident and broke my back and femur now I'm paralyzed and have had six surgery's and need to know what they are going to replace vicodin with (that works)!! I am not a drug addict, if I wanted to get high I'd smoke marijuana or do street drugs, but I don't want that. What I want is the pain relief like I got from the 660 vicodin that was working fine before they took it away. Now there are days that I lay in bed for 14 hours. I only took half a pill in the morning and the other half at dinner. And I have never had any of these side effects they say are caused by vicodin. Now I got norco10/325 an...

I'm really hoping someone who has some knowledge on this sees this. My sister has Crohn's disease, unfortunately she's in the 3% who have a life threatening kind. Her specialist put her on Remicade, which has a lot of side effects like making ur cystic acne waaayyy worse. That is no problem for her because the side effects for medication she's been on in the past would be horrible like chandeliering her bones. Peices of her bones would break off and get caught between the skin and try to stick through the skin. She's been on pain medication ever since i can remember, i couldn't imagine her not ever needing it considering her bowels and intestines are all cut up on the inside which leads to infections like abscesses. Our doctor recently got in trouble for some stu...

I took my 1st 1/2 of an 8mg subutex sublingually this morning at 10. I felt some pain relief in 20ish mins, felt safe enough to take the other half an hour-ish later. I usually take 30mg oxycodone 4 times a day but have been out for 4 days, but I refilled my script this evening. Question being..... When is it safe to take the oxycodone & when will I be able to feel the effects? Honestly it was AMAZING for my pain, but the pain relief effort wore off about an hour ago. I'd appreciate honest responses from people that have been in my shoes, not copy & pasting, please. Thanks! ## Chick with questions, I've been on Suboxone for 4yrs now. Hi all...I'm now on Day 6 of Viibrd 10mg starter pack. My headaches have gone way, thank goodness, and no migraines! I did have one horrible day of "tummy issues" but that seems to be going away too. I'm worried that once I switch to the 20 mg of Viibryd that will happen again..and it's miserable especially when you work in an office like me. I feel good moodwise, however, and no other side effects. I stop the half Celexa pill on Wednesday so I am sort of worried about that. The last time I forgot a pill I got the brain zaps. ## Whattype of stomach issues did you have? It was nausea, pain or bloating, there might be something you can take to help minimize them. Looking for a dr. In Los Angeles that will perscribe methadone. I moved here a year and a half ago from salt lake city. I've suffered a sever head injury and had to have brain surgery.
