How To Snort Oxycodone

IV been snorting ativan for about 3yrs now and I would like to know if anyone has any information on what the long term effects of doing this is gonna be for me? I'm scared to stop because when I try my face hurts and my nose feels raw until I do it again, someone have any ideas? By the way I only do it once a day in the morning, and I do three 0.5's a day, everyday. T-you.

I am switching Doctors, I am prescribed 180 oxycodone 30mg a month an take about 6 a day. I have been very sick for the past two weeks so I haven't taken my medication, now that I feel better an my pain is back I took a 15mg oxycodone a hour an a half before seeing my new Doctor, he said he was giving me a saliva test, so I freaked out a little and swollowed another 15mg oxycodone and snorted one too just to get it into my system... i just got 5mg oxycodens. e to have oxicontin. cani still break them dwn/ ## Why are you breaking them down? It is not safe to break down any tablet and snort or inject it. Tablets contain fillers, not all of which are meant to be broken down by the body. Many are just expelled in our normal waste. They will not hit you any harder. ## they are snort-able, shoot-able (IV/IM/peritoneally), shove-able (buttplugging), smoke-able, and swallow-able (the 5 S's). the only "safe" way is to eat them as prescribed, but you can sniff them for a higher bio-availability (less drug is wasted). I am prescribed the 10mg oxycodone 10mg and the only ones I've ever seen have always been the KVK Mfg brand ones with the k 56 imprint. Recently Rite Aid has switched to the Nesher Pharmaceuticals ones that are more flat and a lighter pink with the NP 12 imprint. Well, long story short I take all my oxy nasally, I've tried every brand, every mg, and these nesher ones are like no other. They are super hard to crush, and they burn when you snort them and hurt my throat. They also get all gummed up in my nasal cavity and I end up spitting up pink loogies the whole time (sorry to be gross) now can anyone tell me if this is done purposely by the mfg? Just a warning to all oxy and other narcotic pain relief users out there. Some of you may want to stop asking for ways to abuse (break down new formulas to inject or snort or wtf) the drug and just take it like it is meant to be taken (per doctors orders). It seems as though the FDA, DEA and other Law Enforcement in this country has decided THEY KNOW what is better for you than your own doctor. Time to write your congress person or other legislator to let them know your concerns. Based on the duration of use and frequency taken, I'd imagine that individual being on the higher end of the spectrum (4 days) from the last dose, as opposed to 2 days. A strong or weak metabolism can change this however, and should also be considered when factoring in the length of time it takes to completely be out of your system; give or take a day. If this user were to get a hair follicle test however, there would be trace amounts detectable for up to 90 days. I know they are myths and old wives tales that say you can, but they don't really work, As to how long it stays in your system, it depends how long you have been taking it and how much you have been taking. If you were taking a normal dosage, as prescribed, on a regular basis, then Oxycodone only stays in your body for a little over 24 hours. Even if you try to crush it for snorting, it contains a substance the enables it to still retain its time released properties and prevent the release of all the medication, at once.
