I have been taking tramadol 50mg for the last two years. I think i am addicted to it and it's deteriorating my health. Fever started 1 week after femor neck surgery. Elevated levels of ESR (above 100)and CPR(above 23). Doctor rules out osteomyelitis. Put on ant biotics by GP. Fever has not come down substantially after 3 weeks of treatment.Chill and fever starts in the afternoon after lunch and continues throught night. Doctor asking us to wait and continue. I have viral fever, and i took 2 doses of ceftas 200mg tablet, but later i found that it would be not any helpful so i did not take any further dose of ceftas 200mg .Now my fever has gone , but i could not eat or drink much anything, is it any kind of bad affects for not completing the antibiotic course? ## there are different types of bacterial infections possible. You should do so, to get to the root of the problem. It can be normal for your body temperature to elevate, at night, it can also be caused by hormones, if you are ovulating, but it could be a medical problem, as well. Has anyone experienced any reactions, such as fever and chilling as a result of taking this drug? ## I had both, plus my base body temp is now higher. As a result I get hotter and colder easier than before and my regular temp is about a 99.2. ## If you look over the monograph: You will see that fever issues are a very common side effect.

If there was a fever caused by overheating or blanket, how long will it last? A day? Hour? ## Hello, Christina! How are you? As reported by the NIH, it shouldn't last very long, at all, if it was solely due to the blanket. Basically as soon as the body starts to cool off, the fever should start to lower. If it does not, then it was likely caused by some illness and not the heat of the blanket. Is there anything else I can help with?
