im using diane now and only 2 tabs left to finish the pack.when am i going to start taking the alhtea pills? ## My friend start july 5 using dian pill then she got her mens july 24. I started taking Althea last April 2017, my OB asked me to take the pill since I have PCOS and that I has cyst on my left and right ovary, right after I finished the first pack I can say that I was satisfied with the result since I got my period 5days, but when I take the 2nd pack I had light period like light spotting never had a heavy flow, the spotting takes 2 days, I still continue taking the pill though but since May up until now I no longer had a normal period like what I had last May, is this normal? Hi!i've been using althea for 3 months now and i'd like to switch to micropil.supposedly,i should start with a new pack of althea today but on the instructions for micropil,i need to take it on day5 of my menstrual period counting the 1st day of mense as day1 but day5 will be tomorrow.if i'll take it tomorrow i'll miss 1 pill.so should i take the 1st tablet of micropil today or tomorrow which is day5?another question please,is it safe to have intercourse on the 1st week from switching pill from althea to micropil?tnx much! ## Im using daphne pills and i want to change to micropil. i stopped using Althea on my second pack becoz i can't bear anymore the constant hunger pangs, terrible dizziness, vomiting. And it made my body gained weight fast! It made my boobs much bigger too. Not really worth it, made wary to take other pills tbh. The side effects that i endured esp the dizziness are unbearable. Hopefully new users won't have the same problems i encountered. Is it safe to take Centrum for Women or another multi vitamin when you take an Althea? Are there any known interactions? ## Not that I am aware of, I also can't find any interactions listed online under FDA warnings and interactions. However, in some cases, it may depend on the particular supplement, in some cases, and how much of it you take. Are you on any other medications? ## No i dont have any medications..what multivitamins can you recommend during birth control pills??

Hello, I just read in the instructions inside of the box of Althea pills that drinking althea together with Isoniazide may take effect. I need Isoniazide because I am under treatment for tuberculosis, and I just had a boyfriend and I personally decided to take pills as contraceptive instead of condoms. I just took my 1st pill today. Is that okay while I am under treatment for TB? Your response is much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi mommy's, i would like to asked. If side effect lang ba ito ng pagstop ko gumamit ng althea pills or am i really pregnant. After i stopped taking althea pills. 4days after may nangyari samin ng boyfriend ko then after 17days parang nkakaramdam ako ng pagkaantok, pagkahilo, pananakit ng lower back at masakit na puson. Hi There, Can I get pregnant immediately after stopping taking althea for three months? My doctor advised me to take Althea pills due to hormonal imbalance as I have a polycystic ovary (Left). I really want to get pregnant so badly. I never got pregnant since my husband and I got married last june of 2014. Hi. I'm currently using Althea pills and I wanted to switch on the Lady pill because it is much cheaper. When should I start taking the Lady pill? Thanks :) ## Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you should be able to just make a clean switch from one to the other, when you finish your current pack of pills. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, spotting, headache, irritability, weight changes, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

I haven't been able to find much pertinent information listing it as a common side effect. I believe the side effect that is more common is random "spotting" before menstruation.
