How long does a 60 mg Op Oxycotin take to start help your pain ## Hello, Jj! How are you? It should start working about 15 to 20 minutes after taking it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

how long does it take a oxycontin 80mg op to start working after you swallow it ## About 15 to 20 minutes, though it can vary some depending on your own body, as well as if you've recently eaten. Learn more Oxycodone details here. It is a time released formulation, so it won't have as much of an immediate effect as the regular or instant release, though. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a Rx for OxyContin which is a month old. Can I still have it filled? ## Prescriptions are usually able to be filled for up to one year from the date it was issued. ## After an hour it's fully kicked in for me. ## I take those but I find chewing them makes them come on faster. Also it works better for me. ## I'm asking this for a friend of mine who takes 30s 3 times a day....

There is no need to worry about taking Pregabalin and switching to Subutex, since Pregabalin is not an opiate. Some people even take it with Suboxone, or Subutex. The FDA warns that Subutex carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help? ## Iv just started 2day on 4mg subetex how long will it take for my body to get used to the change i was on methodone and took last dose sunday n started subetex 2day monday i also take gabapentin will that help with withdrawl

I was just given this med Oxycontin10mg twice a day by my dr for pain but I don't know how long until it starts working. I have Vicodin but I don't really know how much of it I should take to help with the pain. I have only taken one dose of the oxy ## Oxycontin is a time released formulation of Oxycodone and it will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, after you take it, to start working. Then it is slowly released for approximately 12 hours. As to the Vicodin, you shouldn't take more of that than what your doctor, or pharmacist has instructed. It is generally one, every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My experience is that after 1 hour, the beginning effects are noticed. ## Yeah you won't get immediately relief and in my opinion much...

Oxycotin Op's are absolute garbage even the Op 80's do nothing for me. ## If you want to do something about your problem with Oxycodone, why don't you ask your doctor to switch you over to something else that works for you? By all means Oxycodone isn't the only pain medication out there.

Can anyone tell me if they have had both at the same every day?Opana er 20mg and opana10mg working together? DOES anyone out there take this meds and how it makes you feel or what should I look for ? HELP PLZ !! ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, a potent narcotic pain reliever. I have never used this one, but have used several narcotics when I was on pain management, so I can provide you with some information. If you are dealing with severe or chronic pain, narcotics are often prescribed this was to try to help you get better pain control. The ER is a time release formulation that is meant to help give you hours of pain relief, by being slowly released in the body. The one without the ER is a regular release, meant to start working within 15 to 20 minutes, after you t...

Short history, when I was younger, I struggled so much with attentiveness, motivation, understanding, etc. My teacher thought it would be best if I stayed behind so they can better help me. I did stay back but I was not helped. Of course I did not know this atthe ttime. Couple of years later I'm still doing poorly and I did not know why. Some time later, I heard of adhd. And the similarities were spot on but, I was embarrassed to admit it and instead I wrote it off as me being lazy. After awhile I accepted it as my reality and completely convinced myself this is what it was. This made for years of agonizing school time. Barley passing and only advancing due to no child left behind. Afterwards, my life was filled with losing jobs and just messing everything up when the opportunity ar...

I take Opana 20mg three times a day for chronic pain, along with Roxicodone 15mg 4X's a day. I was wondering if anyone out there had noticed that the Opana's don't do anything as much as the Roxis/Oxycodone do? I also just use them as perscribed and am only in my 20's and have had over 35 surgeries. I go see my pain management physician in a couple of days and want to know if anyone out there has tried something similar to what I'm not and what they might have been switched to to get better relief of pain. Thank you for any advice. ## Everyone is different, so it could be that the Oxycodone works better for you, than the Opana. Given how many surgeries you've had, you may also have a very high tolerance to pain medications. The FDA warns that these medications ca...

I was in a severe accident in 2006 that caused many spinal fractures, herniated disks, and severe damage to my right knee. I've been seeing a pain management doctor who has prescribed me Opana 40 & 20mg. ER's to be taken every 12 hours. He also prescribes me Mobic for joint pain. The Opana does help with my spinal injuries, but doesn't seem to help my knee pain at all. The Mobic isn't working either. Should the Opana be helping me with my knee pain at all? I have been prescribed just about all of the available opiate medications including; oxycontin, methadone, the Duragesic fentynil patch, morphine, and nothing seems to be working. Is there anything available that would help my knee pain short of knee replacement surgery? Any information would be greatly appreciated...

May of the year, I started the Opana ER 20mg and for me this has been wonderful. I was only able to afford oxycodone prior to the start of insurance in May. Been fighting a crazy battle with the oxycodone pain relief, cause the pharmacy keeps pushing KVK Tech product that doesn't work for me and has side effects. With Opana ER 20mg as my primary pain relief and Oxycodone 10mg for breakthrough pain, I am finally adjusting where I can function, which It has been a long time. Several years ago when I first started with oxycodone 30mg, life was good because I could function and then my local pharmacies started slipping the KVK products in on me and life became awful. Have heard that some people find the Opana makes them very sleepy. Lucky but so far I haven't had a problem. ## Hi Su...

I have been on 10 mg oxycodone and codeine #4 for 10 years and now I'm sick of it. I was told kratom is good for pain. Does anyone know if it really works? Pain meds don't work any more and I want off of pain killers. ## I have been looking at kratom forums on the web seeking alternatives to pain pills. I'm getting mixed opinions on it being effective for pain issues. There are online vendors who feature an option of buying a few different strains which you can sample. Most forum users are seeking a way to detox from the pills using kratom to cope with withdrawal symptoms. ## I believe that Kratom is the best pain reliever on the face of the Earth. I was taking OxyContin for pain management for Cercvical Stenosis. I have had four neck surgeries in the past six years. The Opana doesn't seem to work as well as the OxyContin. Why?? The Dr said that this medication is twice as strong. It is not working. Now what do I do? I was thinking of doubling up on the Opana. But I am concerned about the side effects. My tolerance is so high after taking the oxy's for so many years I thought this was going to be my saving grace. Any suggestions?? Am I doing something wrong? ## Hello, Edna! How are you? Your doctor is correct, the FDA and NIH do list it as being twice as strong. However, not every medication works for every person that tries, so this just might not be the right one to help you. Can ms contin 100mg be taken with opana er 20mg? ## Well MS Contin contains the active ingredient Morphine. Opana ER contains Oxymorphone. The Oxymorphine is much more powerful and only requires a fraction of the dose that was being taken of the Morphine. Both are time released. They also share the same side effect profiles: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation.
