Last summer i was taking vyvanse 70 mg for my add. It worked wonders for me, but I stopped taking it because i had transportation issues and couldnt get to the dr. On may 31st I started taking the vyvanse 70mg again and for the first week I was fine and things were great. The second week I started to be too concentrated on my work spending from 2pm - 1 am on the computer doing research for a class, and 2 of the nights i had hallucinations. The texture of the ceiling was gently waving like water on a lake, and the carpet was doing the same. on day 17 (yesterday) I threw up about an hour after taking my vyvanse. I felt sick and jittery all day Last night I started feeling worthless and hopeless to the point of wishing I were dead. Today I did not take my vyvanse but my stomache still hurt...

Hi - our 14 year old daughter has been on prescribed adderall and Zoloft for about 2 years for ADD-inattentive and an anxiety disorder. We just found out that she has been experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations for the past 3-5 months. They're low level, and she describes them as annoying. She hears conversations in the background that are low volume and impossible to distinguish words. The voices don't tell her to do anything, and are not conversational - just background noise. She sees insects crawling down her papers at school and on walls and celings. She describes it as distracting and annoying. She's not frightened by it, and doesn't find the hallucinations engaging. We are of course, fairly terrified by this! We are aware that mid adolescence is when mental

My friend (38), who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder & borderline personality disorder, was taking Lithium for about a year and it did wonders for her. Her psychiatrist discontinued the medication when she became pregnant. After giving birth, she started back on Lithium. When her dosage reached 10% of what it was before the pregnancy, she became lethargic to the point of not being able to function at the level necessary to care for her baby or herself, so she discontinued Lithium, again. Around the time her psychiatrist put her on Equetro, she started hearing voices and she continues to hear them after discontinuing Equetro. I don't have all the facts, but I know, at some point after the pregnancy, she was prescribed Xanax, Librium, Lamictal and Flexeril. She is currentl...

Has anyone else experienced long term hallucinations from prescribed oxycodone use ? ## Not that I am aware of, but it is always difficult to say how any given medication will affect any given person that uses it. Have you consulted your doctor about it? Are you still taking it? Are you taking any other medications?

I may have accidentally taken a Buspar instead of my Xanax and experienced severe visual hallucinations for about 2 hours afterwards would this be possible from Buspar? It was a stupid thing to do but I ran out of my Xanax and my friend gave me what I thought was Xanax bars which I have never done before. ## Yes, it is not a common side effect, but the FDA does list it as being reported from those taking this medication. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and nervousness. What are the markings on the bars you took?

been on simvastatin for about 12 years during that time have had nightmares sleep problems and the most awful episodes that wake me up suddenly and I see something an hallucination could be a person, a spider, flowers all sorts but always very clear never connected it to my medication before just learnt to . put up with it, but im beginning to wonder now anyone have any side effects like these? ## Hello, Anny! How are you? Yes, this medication has been associated with sleep disturbances, nightmares and vivid dreaming Many medications do have such an effect, because they can cause REM onset latency. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? You may be able to switch to a different one that doesn't cause such a problem for you.

I've been hospitalized 4 times between Feb./Mar. this year. I was taking morphine 15mg for maybe 2 weeks before this, I was having hallucinations each time. Doctors told me it was due to UTI s and any bacterial infections. I had 1 infection because of an IV in my leg. Can you explain to me if that's right or not? Thank you so much. ## My guess is that it’s more likely that you were hallucinating from the infections. It sounds like you were septic, (the infection had spread throughout your body), and quite seriously Ill from those infections. Morphine is quite often given in those situations because the patient can be in a great deal of pain. The morphine may have played a part in your hallucinations, but I’m betting it was more from your being so seriously ill. When ...

Has anyone else experienced sleep paralysis accompanied by hallucinations since starting viibryd? I have been on the medicine for about 4 months now and for the last 2 1/2 months have had several very scary episodes of sleep paralysis... I have never been on a anti-depressant before and never experienced sleep paralysis until i started this medicine. I am a 23 year old female and i take no other meds except a daily multi-vitamin. Ive noticed that if i accidentally miss a viibryd pill i have sleep paralysis... but have also had it on occasions of not missing a pill. It occurs about once a week... its to the point where i dread going to sleep at night in fear of sleep paralysis, but the hallucinations that come along with it are what I dread the most. Hello. My mother (77 yrs old) has been prescribed Ecosprin AV 75, Hosit and Calcium. She's been having it regularly for past 7-8 yrs . Now for the last few days she is getting hallucinations ( hears people saying something) and palpitations, lack of sleep and lack of appetite. Is it because of Ecosprin? Pl. Advice. ## Hello, Aarti! How is your mother doing? It is very doubtful, the U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as including symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches and they usually only last a few weeks, until someone's body gets used to the medication, then they tend to go away. Given the hallucinations, I think it very important that she consult a doctor to have herself checked out.

Have others noted this side effect with use of Metoprolol Succinate? After discontinuation of the drug, how long did it take for these symptoms to appear? Thanks. ## I would like to know any/all the side effects of this drug. My father is taking this drug, along with 12 other different kinds of medications! This cannot be healthy. A lot of them are related, whether they be for heart, blood thinners or cholesterols. I would appreciate any feedback! ## when i'am on toprol, I have a lot of stupid dreams, it helps my butterflys in my heart, but i'am real tired, has this helped anyone else? or have you had bad side effects? ## I have taken Toprol for over a year now due to heart palpitations. My mom had a craniotomy one month ago. She is still in rehab. She experiences nightmare-ish hallucinations though. They give her trepeline in the evenings toghether with her epilepsy medication. Is Trepeline given for depression (depression is common for craniotomy patients). Anti-depressants can cause hallucinations. Will Trepeline be the culprit? ## What does her doctor think is causing them? Some antidepressants can cause them, in some people, but it's really difficult to say whether it's solely the medication, the craniotomy, or perhaps a combination of both.

I'm 30 yrs old and have been on this drug for about a month and a half. At first, I had very few side effects with this drug not half as bad as I was expecting.I did experience a few times waking and having weird stars and colors when I would close my eyes again but that went away after a few days. However, now since I've been on the 40 mgs for about three weeks now? And I've been having a lot of really weird things happen to me. I've had increasingly vivid and frightening dreams. i feel increasingly agitated and like things are not real.I am often woken from a very deep sleep by the sound of someone knocking at my door loudly. I have had increasingly weird visual occurrences as well. Twice I've seen blue stains on things that weren't there. Today I looked at mys...

How frequent are hallucinations while taking lexapro? Has anyone experienced this side effect? I am taking lexapro for anxiety and it has decreased the anxiety, but the hallucinations are awful. Thanks. ## That is not a normal side effect that the FDA lists for this medication. The typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, weight changes, and mood changes. When are they occuring? Is it when you sleep, or when you are awake? Are you on any other medications? ## They are occurring during the day-usually late afternoons. Most times I'm seeing my daughter in the house in a frozen position without movement. On no other medications other than crestor, carvedilol and aggrenox. I have had eye surgery for glaucoma and still having problems with vision.

Has anyone ever experienced auditory hallucinations while taking Cymbalta? I have been on 60mgs for 1 week, and just a little while ago I experienced what I am certain was an auditory hallucination. Either it was that or some is trying to contact me from inside my television. Anyone? ## No, I'm not finding that listed as a known side effect, the only auditory one listed is tinnitus. Are you on any other medications? Have you consulted your doctor, yet? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have read on this forum about auditory hallucinations with vyvanse. Is this a common side effect? Is it a side affect for meds like Adderrall also, or just this medication? ## Hello, Based on my research, mental/mood/behavior changes (such as agitation, aggression, mood swings, depression, hallucinations, and abnormal thoughts/behavior) are serious side effects of Vyvanse. Those side effects may also occur with Adderrall- but are rare. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Vyvanse Details You can learn more about this drug on the page for Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine Details I hope this info helps!

Hi, I am 25 years old and have just been prescribed risperdal For my severe auditory, visual, and tactile hallucinations from bipolar mania psychosis. I went to therapy today and explained about my previous week, full of terrifying and vivid hallucinations and the delusional State that followed- I did not believe my husband when he attempted to explain that I was hallucinating and was sure that he would have me institutionalized (yet again), when that wasn't the case. For example: I actually believed that mirrors were a gateway to a different spirit plane and watched as a winged demon by the name of Riley Blue came through and attempted to claim my soul if he successfully persuaded me to commit suicide. I clawed my face up when he touched my cheek. Then came August, a feathered demo...

My mother has been taking metoprolol tartrate for 2 years. Six to eight weeks ago she started experiencing hallucinations(seeing things that are not real,) at night after taking the pill. She called her doctor but the doctor told her to break the pill in half, which is going from 50 to 25 mgs. I am afraid she will have an episode while driving. Is there another medication equilvalent to what she is taking. Should the doctor have taken her off of the medicine. ## Hello, Barbara! How is your mother doing? Hallucinating is not a typical side effect of this medication and has only been reported in a few rare cases where someone was taking the extended release formulation. There are other medication options, such as Labetalol, which is known to cause far fewer side effects. Has she contacted...

I have done a lot of research on this drug all over the internet for the last week because it's been the absolute worst week of my life. I started taking Viibryd 3 weeks ago for generalized anxiety disorder. I have previously been on effexor for 2 years, took 2 years off any medication, and then recently needed to start medication again. The first week, i had the typical side effects. Nausea, high energy, and insomnia. I knew that my body had to get used to it. By the 3rd night on the 20mg dosage, I was having 5-10 episodes of sleep paralysis with exploding head syndrome & hallucinations a NIGHT. I weened off for a few days, and now i'm completely off for 4 days and STILL having the episodes. I am scared to death to go to sleep at night because it is that terrifying. So, I a...
