Is it the insurance or pharmacy who decides if an early refill is ok? I'm talking 3-4 days early. ## That's a good question. I'd recommend double checking with your insurance company just to be sure... but I wanna say that it probably is the insurance who has the say, if they are the one's paying for it. Some policies I've heard of actually state that you can't get a refill until you're at least 75% through your prescription. And apparently that is calculated/determined from the date you first got it filled. 3-4 days early sounds like it fits comfortably above that margin, so you may be just fine, depending on the type of insurance you have. I'd imagine that other companies policies could also be a lot different as well. I hope this helps!

I have cfs since 1987 and fibro since 1994 (adrenal fatigue is the true illness). Recently I notice I have low blood volume, my pulse is always rapid, I get maybe 2-3 hours of sleep in 24 hours, high blood pressure, as well as other symptoms. I read clonidine will specifically help with all these symptoms. I just started a .1 once a day rx. I was very hopeful about this drug helping me but I am reading so much about people having bad experiences. Is this an addictive drug? My doctor and pharmacist did not say it was an addictive drug. If you have taken this drug did you become addicted? I am worried now. Although, I have to admit, my life in the last several months hasn't been a life. No sleep, can't stand up for than a few minutes, dizzy when standing from laying down. Thanks f...

As with most pills, tabs, etc., my pharmacist states that the one year exp. dates are for inventory software programs based on inj's. and other sensitive liquid meds. That said, he let me know, that over 90% of the most popular drugs prescribed, still have over 95% of their potency at 5 years after the Rx date, including hydroxyzine. ## Hello, Marcel! How are you? Thank you for providing such valuable information. The one year expiration from the pharmacy, when they give you a medication, is set, because it's the maximum time that the manufacturer can guarantee the medication will maintain full potency under average storage conditions, as required by the FDA. But yes, a large percentage of them do maintain potency much longer, however, only someone's doctor can say if it is ...

Has anyone heard of this diet pill or used it - was it any good? ## Phenphenidrine is a supplement, they claim it helps with weight loss, but this is, of course, not proven. This product contains: Caffeine, Hops, Raspberry, Ginger, Phenylethylamine, Synephrine, Evodiamine, Sclareolide, Dimethylamylamine and Yohimbine. Has anyone actually tried this product? ## I bought this product from a seller on ebay. The label on the bottle looks like something that was printed up on a home computer and the label was affixed by hand because it was crooked. Also, the label says liqui-caps and these were NOT liquicaps but caps filled with a tan looking herby powder. That being said, it was an effective product, after using one bottle. I took 2 pills before a workout and I could definitely feel a lift ...

Need a new physician to Rx my meds as PCP has stopped all opiod prescribing ## Hello, Reba! How are you? Yes, PCPs have been restricted on what they can prescribe, if you need such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist. Did you discuss this with your PCP? They should be able to refer you to someone, which could be the easiest way to find the help you need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area? ## If you are in the Jacksonville area, I would suggest you use Dr. Syed Hussain. His office is on 103rd street in Jacksonville and he is there for pain management only. That is w...

Cysta RX is just a vitamin D supplement, it is used to prevent or correct deficiencies in this vital nutrient, however, it will not really do much to prevent PCOD and irregular periods. IS THIS MEDICINE PRESCRIBED OR I CAN BUY IT OVER THE COUNTER? IF MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAS HER EAR CLOGGED, IS IT USEFUL? ## This medication is usually used to ear infections, not just clogged ears, because it contains an antibiotic and requires a prescription. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, drainage, and ear pain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## how often do you put the drops in your ear for the infection? ## I buy Otilin in Mexico over the counter. I'm lucky because I live about 15 miles from the border, from Texas to Mexico. It is actually a very good ear drop medication. I suffer from deviated nose septum and it tends to affect my ear.

I have just been cut off from my doctors for taking too many norco. I've been on them 20 years, have severe tmj and no way to fix it, i am now without anything and am really on the verge...... I need a doctor or if anyone knows anyone where i can get rid of the pain. I was laid up for 3 days with this problem, can someone help? please ## You should probably been on a extended release med, since your pain is chronic. Also, always consult your doctor if your doseage is not no longer working for you before taking more than prescribed. Norco is not a good med to be on for a long period of time due to the tynlenol. Bad for your liver. Besides all that, where do you live? Maybe we can find a doctor for you in your area/ state. Sorry your in pain. Donna ## I live in temecula and like i sai...

I need to find an antidepressant/mood regulator that does`nt contain cornstarch as a filler. I`ve been taking Zoloft 50mg for several years but really need to change to another but all seem to have cornstarch now. Even Zoloft says it does but the 50mg seems to be ok still but not working so good! ## Your best bet is to check with your pharmacist. By using the allergy records in their computer, they can check anything you are possibly prescribed against that data and try to pinpoint one that doesn't contain it. Unfortunately, I cannot do this for you, because there are far, far too many formulations on the market, both name brands and generics. Have you also asked your doctor to look into it?

Why is Maxifed not over the counter? Both ingredients are... ## There are certain dosages of some drugs that the FDA feels are unsafe to be taken, without a doctor's prescription and supervision. Ibuprofen is a good example of another medication that is available both ways, over the counter in the U.S., you can buy it in doses up to 200mgs each, but anything over that requires a prescription. Are there any other questions?

Taking it approx 50 years, I just take it as prescribed and space it between other medications. It has worked like a charm. I've gone off of it (due to assorted doctors) only to found out, NOTHING WAS BETTER. The FDA wants to pull it b/c it's less expensive as the ones they advertise on ATV. It's a huge, misfunctioning institution, pharm co's, many doctors, and media...hence 'The Evil Empire". It's about money, not health. Who pays for those fancy commercials? You! ## Primatene pills are a really good Rx for my Asthma too.

Probably 99% of patients who get pain med scripts truly need them. There is no need to tell us your diagnosis/condition or if you have a handicapped placard/tag. The bottom line is this: YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE Rx and PHARMACISTS SHOULD HONOR IT. The ones who refuse to fill it simply enjoy saying so. It gives them the POWER and CONTROL they crave. It is not about losing their license since prescriptions can be verified. Also, they are written on special paper. Sadly, compassion and service are NOT some pharmacists' priority. We patients should have a good appearance and say as little as possible. In addition, a Walmart employee told me I MUST take all my scripts to the same pharmacy. REALLY?? (One was for a rescue inhaler which could mean the difference between life and death! I went ...

I pulled a good one. My RXs were not in sync; one for extended release one week and the other immediate release the next. So I'm out waiting and going through hell. All because I let my pharmacy only give me enough for 3 weeks. Now they say they can't give me the ones they kept. I really didn't know it was going to be that way. Has anyone ever had this happen? ## Yes, that is normal pharmacy policy for controlled substances. You'll need a new prescription from your doctor to get the rest, or to wait until your next fill time. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
