I am taking Glycomet 1000mg -sustained release twice a day. But I find many a times that the whole tablet coming out in the stool. What is the reason? Does it mean that the system has not absobed the medicine? What is the way out? ## I am aged 63 and suffering from type 2 diabetes. The blood sugar level used to be erratic,at times shooting up to 300PP. I was advised Glycomet 500mg twice a day + Glycomet SR 500mg twice a day. But Glycomet SR was not getting absorbed in the system and I was observing the tablet coming out intact in the stools next morning. My Pharmacist on hearing that changed it to Gluconorm G 500 mg. i have been diagnosed with glaucoma and have had reactions to all the drops prescribed so far. Is this common? ## I am curious as to what type of reaction you had. My mother in law had a very strange reaction or episode to some drops for glaucoma. She got extreme pain in her eyes, soreness on her lids. Extreme headache. She was in distress but as of this date, we have no answers. Stopped the drops of course, no answers as to whether this drop could have caused all this. My wife, 58 years old started taking 3 years back Gluconorm PG2, 2 tablets per day (one each in the morning and evening). She is taking Lorem 2.5 1 tab. per day along with Gluconorm PG2 . 21/2 years back, her blood pressure started coming down . when consulted, the Doctor asked to reduce the strength of Lorem to 1.25 and subsequently stopped using it. Gluconorm PG2 was also reduced to 1 tablet per day since last 6 months. During the last 1 1/2 years, she has put on weight and started heavy pain and swelling on her left arm near the shoulder. Sir, I am 63 plus suffering from type 2 diabetes. I am taking glucomet 250 mg twice a day as prescribed. Yesterday during routine diagnostics my morning evaluation reported 100 mg glucose in my urine. It was never like this before. This was confirmed by today's morning results also. I am disturbed.
