I've been prescribed the above for a recurrant boil on my inner thigh. The dose of flucloxacillin is 500mg x4daily for two months. It's day two, so far I've only managed 3tabs a day. So that means 1500mg daily rather than 2000mg daily. How do I space these out? Is it 6hourly or 4hourly? ## 4 times a day would be every 6 hours. How long does it take for a rash to go away after starting Flucloxacillin? I have had the rash for three days. ## When I experience one from an antibiotic, it took about 2 weeks to full clear up. Hi there I was prescribed this medication for a possible infection after cauterising of the cervix. i have been prescibed 1g flucloxacillin X 4 daily, i am getting bad heartburn after taking. can i take ranitadine to relieve this? ## I didn't find any listed interactions or problems, between taking them together, but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. In general, something such as Ranitidine is okay to use, but you should avoid the use of products that contain Calcium as the active ingredient, such as Tums, because they can interfere with the absorption of certain medications. I am in Merida Mexico, I do not speak Spanish. I have developed a boil. In Canada I have been prescribed Flucloxacillin and Cephalexin at differing times in the past. What would that be called in Spanish? Is it available? ## just in case anyone else finds themselves in this odd and most unlikely position. I went to a Dr. who was trained in the U.S. he told me that Mexico does not have antibiotics of that type or strength. He prescribed POSIPEN which is Dicloxacilina.. a form of penicillin. One every 10 hours for 7 days.

According to DailyMed neither Staphylex or Flucloxacillin list each other or their active ingredients as having negative interactions, however, they do state that you should consult your doctor if you plan to take any additional medication.
