I have a prescription for hydrocodone 'take one every 8 hours as needed' qty 60. Got them to take instead of tramadol when I'm in a lot of pain. Last week & 1/2, I've been having major pain and the dr said I could take them every 6 hours til we get worked through this. So, I'm sure I'll run out, as I'm already getting low, before the monthly refill of all my meds. I have been prescribed and been taking Dilaudid 8MG for the past two years, ever since I switched from Oxycodone because of the trouble I had filling my prescriptions. I know this is not right but not many things are any more.... Does any one know of any pharmacies in MO that will fill prescriptions early? I went to the pharmacy today to fill mine and my husband's prescriptions. When I was looking at all the scripts, I realized that my husband's script had more then usual. Now here's the thing- He is prescribed 30 10mg ambien a month but the insurance will only cover 15 for him. His bottle had 30 in but the qty on the bottle said 15 and I only paid the insurance prem for the 15. North Carolina is a strict state also but will fill 3 days early at most mainstream pharmacies, if it's been at least 30 days since the last fill regardless of what the doctor wrote as the refill date. ## Thanks for sharing this important information. I always thought doctors were the ones who had the most amount of control over the refill date; but I can understand how (in certain rare cases) it may be helpful to grant a pharmacist permission to make such a fateful decision on behalf of their own whit and whim - e.g. if a doctor is out of town on vacation and/or the patient is undergoing withdrawals & various circumstances of that nature... I see a pain doctor in NY and fill it in NY, now if i was to fill a script from a doctor in NY but filled it in NJ would i get flagged? Will my regular pain doctor find out that i filled a script in NJ? Bottom line is do NY and NJ share prescription information? I have a dexedrine prescription that I received a prior authorization on last year for 150 pills every 30 days. The prior authorization has expired and I need a new one. To whom it may concern, I was in a serious motorcycle accident at the end of 2013. I went to my doctor to b checked out and I was in such excruciating PAIN. I'm not sure if there are any specific laws regarding this matter (especially with only 1 day to spare), but I do believe your doctor is the one who is supposed to give you prior authorization towards getting a refill by a certain date.
