Hi, so I've been taking Lo Loestrin for 5 days now and ever since the day after I took the first pill, it's been difficult to swallow and eat without choking. I also have bad breath because of the dryness that I can't get rid of, no matter how many times I brush my teeth. If anyone is experiencing similar things, please let me know, and maybe we could work on a way to get rid of it or decide if it's better to stop taking Lo Loestrin all together. ## Most medications can cause dry mouth, but I've never heard of it being that severe, from oral contraceptives. As reported by the FDA, other typical side effects may possibly include dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Given the severity, I'd suggest speaking to your doctor about trying a different...

I have been taking Keppra (3000MG per day) for over 20 years and am beginning to think some of my mental problems may be associated with the drug. I experience depression and a dryness of my mouth very often. Plus I am often confused (trouble focusing) and tired and cannot sleep. ## Hello, Noemi! How are you? Sorry about the problems that you're having. And yes, they could be due to the medication, but it is difficult to say with certainty. Have you consulted your doctor about the issue?

My 2 year,9 month old has just injested a scopex compound, I am extremely concerned. What are the side effects for my child. He weighs abt 18.5lbs. ## Hi nadia, It's hard to say how this medication might effect any individual, as everyone can react differently to prescription drugs. The best thing to do in my opinion is to keep a close eye on how your child reacts to the dosage given and simply remain aware and ready to take care of the following possible side effects, if any present themselves: Side effects of antimuscarinic agents include, dryness of the mouth with difficulty in swallowing and talking, thirst, reduced bronchial secretions, dilation of the pupils (mydriasis) with loss of accommodation (cyclopegia) and photophobia, flushing and dryness of the skin, transient bradyca...

TAKING THESE DRUGS EVERYDAY MY TEETH ARE FALLING APART HELP PLEASE. NO I DONT HAVE DRY MOUTH. ## First of all, are you sure you don't have dry mouth? All of the medications you've mentioned can cause it and it doesn't have to be a hugely significant dryness to be classified as dry mouth and allow bacteria to linger on your teeth and in your mouth. Even a slight lowering of saliva production can cause that. Additionally, narcotics can actually leech the minerals out of your body and many people that are on long-term treatment with them end up with extreme tooth decay. If you've ever seen pictures of someone that has been a long time drug addict, almost all of them will have severe dental decay or will have completely lost all of their teeth. The drugs they abuse tend to c...

Pradaxa mostly used as a substitute for warfarin (Coumadin ) for atrial fibrillation but there are also response of tamoxifen side effects such as unusual bleeding, short breath etc. There are also some response of having dehydrated, dryness of mouth/eyes. The positive side is that It does not require regular blood tests and it actually works better in few cases. Pradaxa might be a good substitute of warfarin but need more attention in long term use and in some specific cases.

Can somebody please tell me if hair loss is a symptom of buprenorphine-naloxone 8-2mg? It's also known as Suboxone. I'm experiencing a lot of hair loss & dryness. If so, can somebody suggest something else? Thanks so much. ## Does Suboxone (Buprenorphine + Naloxone) or any of its derivatives cause hair loss & drying of hair? ## Yes, it has been known to cause alopecia as a side effect, in some people that take it, but it is not common. Suboxone may also cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. As to an alternative, that depends on the reason you are taking it. I take 40 mg of methadone daily, have for 2 years. Can I use mupirocin while taking methadone? ## Hello, Lehigh! How are you? Yes, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Methadone as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Mupirocin is a topical antibiotic and its side effects are usually limited to skin reactions, such as redness, dryness and itching. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a yeast infection in my esophgus and my former Dr. did not give me this. Is this product correct ## Hi Bob, I was unable to locate specific details on the combination of these three medications, but I did look up each one individually to get an idea of what their used for: Nystatin is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, mouth, vagina, and intestinal tract. Hydrocortisone is used to relieve the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions. Diphenhydramine is used to relieve red, irritated, itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by hay fever, allergies, or the common cold. Based on the details above, it's tough for me to say whether or not this is the best prescription medication to handle the job. W...

Is it still safe? ## RE: clotrimazole/betameth cream - Can I use it inside my vagina for dryness or yeast? ## I started using Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream 10 days ago for itching and burning in the groin area. How long will this condition take to heal with this cream? ## DO NOT USE INSIDE YOUR VAGINA! It clearly says that on my tube (no vagina). Not nose, mouth or eyes either. Use twice a day at the same schedule. Not longer than five days in a row and definitely not longer than 4 weeks!!!
