I have been taking Watson 10/325 for years. now im seeing that my pain meds have changed to Watson 10/853....why the difference? ## Hello, Robert! How are you? What were the markings on the others? The one with the Watson 853 on it contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

what drugs are long acting for chronic pain ## There are several on the market, the ones most commonly used are 12 hour time released version of Morphine and Oxycodone, sold under the brand names MS Contin and Oxycontin. They are both narcotic medications: There is another narcotic called Fentanyl, it is sold as a time released patch, under the brand name Duragesic. These all, of course, require a doctor's prescription and carry common side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Fever started 1 week after femor neck surgery. Elevated levels of ESR (above 100)and CPR(above 23). Doctor rules out osteomyelitis. Put on ant biotics by GP. Fever has not come down substantially after 3 weeks of treatment.Chill and fever starts in the afternoon after lunch and continues throught night. Doctor asking us to wait and continue. I am addicted to opiates for pain. I abuse the oxy that I get. Would Sub or Methatdone be better for me with regards to pain? My husband has a history with drugs and has been on Methadone. Chonic pain been dianosed for over 10 years. Government regulation have made Doctors cut your medication by almost half and know it is not enough. Doctors are saying that the Feds are stopping them from properly treating especially chronic pain due to major trama and or illness. Can we legally get the meds we need from out of the country sources? ## No, you cannot. Will a discount card cover any percentage of this patch? ## Hi Becky - may I ask which patch you are referring to? Is it an over the counter patch such as Salonpas or Bengay - or is it a prescription strength pain patch like Fentanyl? I know that a discount card that this site offers covers most prescription drugs and there is even a lookup tool which tells you what the cost and savings would be for a specific drug. I read that not many people use doxepin...I have roaming body pain after a few hours of sleep...Because of an ele., burn of 13,800 volts back in 1991...I have tried to slowly get off the pill...but with in 2 or 3 weeks my night time pain is with me all night...Dose any of you use this pill for the same reason...pain...I have used as high as 150 mg ... but have been on 75mg for 10 years now... ## Doxepin is typically a sleep aid, I have been on as high a dose as 300 mg a day. Pain is better controlled by gabapentin or some of the newer drugs like lyrica or cymbalta. I know about pain as I have fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, a screwed up knee and nueroma in my feet. You seriously need to speak with your doctor or a pharmacist. Pain can be overcome with the right meds.

So based on these indications I don't see how either of those options would be beneficial for back pain? The other two medications however, are meant to be used for pain relief (assuming you meant to say Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant). Who has had successful or as close as possible ,drug for treating bipolar . I have been down the list and eventually they don't work anymore . I have use lithium tegretol lamictin topamax . I am on neurontin and take cymbalta -the horror drug - I can't get off it the discontinuation symptoms drive me staight back to taking it . Have been off it for 14 days and the pain in root of nose plus continuos heavy salivation left me dehydrated and no pain meds work. The symptoms and pain dissapear within 1/2 hour of taking cymbalta ! BUT after 5 days of taking it again , the most violent suicide thoughts claim my brain and the body tension is enormous when ever I am stressed or face conflict situations . My brain flies straight to suicide and I have to take a traquilisser to calm myself ...

I have recently been suffering a MAJOR sinus infection...let me start off my saying I have taken tylenol and advil for all of my adult life...the 'hardest drug' has been Tylenol 3 with codeine. I am posting here becuase yesterday I went to the hospital, because I was in sooooooo much pain...They checked me out and ended up giving me a shot of morphine....a 5 mg shot to be exact. Is that a lot of a little?? I am very tall and weigh about 250 pounds.....but i didnt feel a thing!!! When I hear people talk about morphine, it seems like they were living high on a cloud....and for me, I didn't feel stoned AT ALL......I drove home from the hospital...and then I took 2 percs which I had at home....and still didnt feel relief.....is this normal?? What are other people's tolerance...

Please help.. I have been on narcotics for chronic back pain for 19 years and just moved to VA. I need to find a good Dr. that is not afraid to continue with my meds. I would like to know about the doses of nivalin used for treatment of chronic muscle and back pain (i.e. degenerative discs or pinched nerves like cialtagia / sciatica)? ## I know that in Cuba one patient that was tried with Nivalin for cialtagia pain that does not respond to other treatments. I cannot contact the patient and doctor that prescribed Nivalin inyection subcutaneous for two months and the pain gone for ever. I suffer cialtagia and lumbagia and cannot use drugs for problems with my stomach. I need to know the dosis recomended. I am in Florida. My doctor does not have information.

They want to prescribe it to me for bad pain as insurance won't cover OxyContin or Codeine products anymore. ## Yes. By all means..being only on methadone to stay clean IS going to save your life not to mention being able to function normally..jobs etc.won't have to EVER chase illicit drugs again if you are serious about staying clean. Don't worry..because I have been on it 35 plus years. No issues being normal if you have made your mind up to stay off the boy forevermore. I have been fine. Now 67. Dr. says it's kept me far younger since your heart rate stays lower. EAT a healthy diet, drink water like crazy, and forget about that old life. Really been a new man. I have a pmd who prescibes percocet but there new policy is no more soma. However,I can find an obgyn with permission to get soma. I've had 7 surgeries and been taking 2 a day for 20 years. Tried 10 different drugs and none worked. I need an obgyn only for treatment using soma for endomeyrious adhesionsscolious hernia and scar tissue and getting worse. I live in Las Vegas. ## Are you a Woman? Then there is no problem seeing an Obgyn and getting Soma. Wouldn't you still need a specialist for obgyn care as well?
