As listed by the FDA, this medication is usually used to treat irritable bowel, it can also help with stomach spasms, so it may help some with cramping, but shouldn't be taken, unless your doctor has prescribed it for such. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and blurred vision. I just started on the generic Pristiq a little over a month ago and along with all the other side effects I've seen people complain about on here (headaches, jaw pain, heartburn), I'm suffering from TERRIBLE menstrual cramps! I've never had cramps like this before. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure the two are even related, but I start taking this and all the sudden I'm having terrible cramps, so I'm wondering if there is a correlation. ## Most medications in this class can cause such a side effect, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and mood swings. If they become severe, or suddenly worsen, you should consult your doctor as this might not be the best medication for you. How are you doing, now? Has there ...

Can I also use it for menstruation cramps? ## It is listed as containing Hyoscine, so it is not likely that it will help with menstrual cramps. The NIH warns that it may cause nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and headache as side effects. What else have you tried for your cramps? Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any other medications? ## My dr prescribed me Scopex for my period cramps, I have endometriosis as well, with the scopex he also prescribed exinef, I also have a stomch ulcer, which my gp is aware of, and the brochure inside the exinef says to not use it when you have a ulcer... He refuses to put me back on Tramacet/tramadol, which actually took away my pain almost instantly for hours, where I would literally use only 1 once every 24hrs depending on the pain, but the med...

Scopinal is the best medicine which i had used during my teens. No other medicine would help my severe cramps during menstrual cycle. I used to throw up first two days of my cycle n feel awful not been able to eat or drink something. My father who is a PhD in pharmacy had advised me to use it and it helped wonders. I never had any allergic reaction to it as I used it for 7-8 years. Now I am mother of two n would suggest it to girls as Scopinal helped me always. Cheers. ## Thank you for your helpful post! Scopinal is used to prevent nausea and vomiting, so it will actually only help with that and not the cramping or pain, but it could be beneficial. Are there any comments or questions? ## What the indecationg of scopinal? ## Actually it does help in reliefing spastic pain of dysmenorrhea...

my doctor prescribed me this medication for menstrual cramps & he recommended to take it daily for 2 weeks, why should i take it for 2 weeks when my period will bother me only for 2 days? ## Probably as a preventative, the symptoms that cause menstrual cramping actually start to build up for awhile, before the bleeding actually starts. Learn more Naproxen details here. I can't speak for your doctor, this is just a theory and ultimately, how long you take it is up to you. Are there any other questions or comments?

will cyclopam cures periods pain ## Hi, Nikki! Very sorry that you're suffering menstrual cramps, I've experienced it myself and I know how horrible they are and how miserable they can make you. As to this medication, the Dicycloverine and Paracetamol in it may help some, but Simethicone and Dimethicone are unnecessary and aren't going to do anything. Usually, they are best helped by taking a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen. But none of these will actually 'cure' the problem. The only way to do that is to discover what's causing it and, unfortunately, most doctors just act like it's normal for them to happen and they don't do any testing to get to the root of the problem. However, PMS symptoms and menstrual cramping usually h...
