I've been on 5, 30mg of Roxy's daily for about 4 to 5 years now, the problem, I am getting worried the time is going to come where I can't get them. I keep hearing stories about shortage and the price doubled, the last 2 months. These meds work for me and I am able to have a fairly normal life. I am not able to work any longer (Master Cosmetologist), which I hate, but after 2 failed back surgery's, I feel lucky, that I can at least enjoy my Grandchildren and my 3 Maltese Pups. My brother takes Oxycontin 80 mg. for timed release pain management and 30 mg. roxycodone for break thru pain. He has seen the same doctor and went to the same pharmacy for over 10 years. Suddenly last month, drug store did not have the 30 mg. available for a few days and this month, I was told that 30 mg. were no longer available. I cannot get his medication anywhere ( the 30 mg.) i found a maroon capsule no imprint or numbers been told it was a oxycodone 30mg ## No, all manufactured prescription medications in the U.S. are required to have imprints on them to enable their identification. Thus, since it doesn't have an imprint, this is most likely just some type of over the counter product. There are some exceptions, such as medications specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy, since they use capsules that are just plain, but they are usually clear capsules and it wouldn't make any sense to have them make one in a 30mg Oxycodone, since the tablets already exist. I am on 30mg Roxycotin (oxycodone) 180 tablets per month. I have insurance, however, cannot find a pharmacy that has supplies of prescription (I hear many people are having this issue recently). My doctor might prescribe an alternative. I am very afraid of the alternative due to not understanding how medications translate. I fear it not being adequate for me to function and go to work.
