I was prescribed hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB for back pain. I ran out so I took a oxycodone 10mg for the pain. Today is the 11th of April and I have to go in and see my Dr. on the 14th of April. If he tests my urine what will the outcome be? And no, different substances will show up in a drug test as exactly what they are, Oxycodone will be detected as itself, the same for Hydrocodone and etc. ## My Dr. told me a high level of Hydrocodone will show up as Oxycodone on a drug test if they use the 10 panel test that's why they send them to the lab to get exactly what's in the drug screen. Doctor gave me a mouth swab and it showed positive for hydrocodone but I'm not taking that med, I'm on percocet 10mg, why is it giving a false reading of hydrocodone? ## I would like to know the same thing! I recently visited my PM doctor and was given a surprise saliva drug test. I am on 15mg oxycodone IR for a herniated disc and a pinched nerve. Two days prior to that I took maybe half of a 5mg hydrocodone pill. Probably less than that though, I would guess closer to 1mg of hydrocodone, if even that much. I took the rest of the pill 4 days prior to the test. I took my prescribed oxycodone up till the night before the test. Will the hydrocodone show up on the test? It has been two days since they took my saliva and I have not heard back anything, yet. The hydrocodone was an old prescription from that same doctor, I took it because I was getting close to running out of my oxycodone. Should I be worried? There are some basic tests that just show the presence of opiates, however, there are others that can show the specific opiate that was taken. If the latter test is used, then they will be able to tell them apart and know you took Hydrocodone. In February of 2014 i went from oxycontin to fentanyl patch. Also was prescribed Norco/Hydrocodone 10/325's (up to 3 times a day) took urine test and it tested positive for oxycodone and no hydrocodone. I DID NOT TAKE OXYCODONE. I am not a 'drug seeker'. Have Rx's for fentanyl 12.5mcg & 10/325 hydrocodone. I am 63 yrs. of age, prescribed 29+ pills daily. I picked up my 28 day Rx's for the above meds, and had my first drug test in my life. How could I test positive for methadone and oxycodone (I don't even know what they look like!)?
