Please forgive the length of this post. I recently had an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center in Lynnwood. I have been a pain management patient for over 4 years now. Multiple spinal issues, fibromyalgia, EBV, and TBI to name a few problems I have. I moved to the Cleveland from another state I am very concerned with what the protocol at this location. My Adipex-prescribing doctor indicated that he is no longer permitted to hand out the pills after a physical exam due to Ohio law on habit forming drugs. He could only write prescriptions for Adipex which was fine, however 4 pharmacies refused to fill the prescription because it’s addictive - this was my first prescription! I could see if I had a history of abusing it but I don’t. Anyone else having the same problem? Is there any way around this? ## That sounds silly! If you contact them, or go in asking for a specific medication, especially a controlled substance, they will usually view it as drug seeking behavior.
