What is the normal dose for tramadol hcl 50mg? I am taking utter prn tid for severe back pain. I have taken 75mg before I got relief. ## Tramadol became a Schedule IV August 18, 2014. Under Federal Law, a dr can write refills and can call it in. There are no restrictions on how often you must see your dr. But, your dr can have you come in as often as he wants and he doesn't have to give refills or call it in. ## The interesting thing about Tramadol is the fiasco of its creation. LOL Originally, the intent was to try to create a medication that would have the pain relieving properties of opiates, without having the addictive tendencies, and all the side effects, however, what they ended up with is a mild pain reliever that can still be habit forming, and is only a moderate level anal...

I am a 55 year old woman on hormone replacement .I have to get my prescription through mail order, and they wrote and said " medications that contain methyltestosterone have now been classified as a controlled substance". I take a estrog/methyl 1.25/2.5 every day . They also say that due to a new law through DEA I will now have to get my prescription as a 6 month supply or 5 refills max. Can you tell me if this is true or are they just jerking people around? ## Actually, it's been classified that way since 1990, under the Anabolic Steroids Act, it just hasn't been enforced previously. would this be classified as oxycontin ? they are small pink pill--19mg ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, so the equivalent without the Acetaminophen would be Roxicodone. OxyContin is a time released formulation. Additionally, there is no 19mg tablet. Are there any markings on the tablet in question? ## Oxycontin is simply an extended release version of Oxycodone. Without Acetaminophen though, Percocet would just be Oxycodone (immediate release). Is there an imprint on the pill you are describing? Any word if tramadol will really be reclassified ad a controlled substance after Feb 27 and unable to be purchased online??? Im kinda freaken out about this. ## From what I could gather, Tramadol (Ultram, Ultracet, Ryzolt) is not a "federally" controlled substance, at least yet. However, states may individually classify it as such. As of December 2008, Kentucky has classified tramadol as a controlled substance. Although it is likely that other states have already done so as well. I believe NY and Oklahoma are two others that recently made a controlled substance. It is very possible that tramadol will be reclassified as a controlled substance on the federal level, but I have yet to find any supporting information pertaining to Feb 27th 2013. Has anyone else heard when it might be...

TOOTH PAIN ## Is Trmidol a narcotic medication? ## Tramadol has been classified as a narcotic in the past, but as of the current time I am posting this in 2013, it is now only classified as a centrally acting analgesic. It is derived from an opiate, but has been found to not be as effective as traditional opiate narcotics are, thus its classification was changed. However, it should be noted that it may be habit forming and could cause side effects similar to those of narcotics, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Are there any other questions? Is there anything I can help with? You can learn more Tramadol details here.

for Vitamin D3 50000 IU can be classified as medicine or as food supplement? for all vitamins is there is concentration or limits to consider the product medicine or food supplement? ## Hi Judy, I'm not sure what your question actually is. Vitamin D is not a 'medicine', but a vitamin supplement. If you are concerned about the DOSE, that is not anything to worry about, as you would need to take HUGE amounts before you would overdose. Please see my page on Vitamin D overdose here. What you might be more interested in, is that Prescription Vitamin D is NOT the correct form of Vitamin D to be taking, however. Vitamin D3, the kind that you can get over the counter at any health food store, is the only vitamin d form that anyone should be taking.
