I have full blown sciaticca in my leg and want to know if Neurontin would help the pain as painkillers aren't helping it at all, nor do anti-inflammatories. If not Neurontin, is there a medication that treats the pain that sciattica gives? ## It really depends on what works for you. Neurontin is an anticonvulsant that has also been proven to help with some mood disorders, and certain types of nerve pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. Has your doctor prescribed it for you?

My Doc. I have been with for 20 years prescribes 5-32 mg exalgo every day for me. It is no longer working as well, my biggest problem is I live in Fresno and my Doc is 74 so I am shopping for a Doc, I tried two others who told me I was an addict. 30 years ago when I began opiates in the bay area I was told I would need these for the rest of my life. I am stuck here, I cannot handle a car ride of more than 30 minutes. Once or twice a year I go to the hospital for other problems caused by the gunshot, I am forced to hide my meds and take them in secrete per my Doc. No one knows what to do with me. Please if anyone has a solution that makes sense let me know. I need to find a new Doc before mine retires. He has been great but retirement has to be looming in the near future. Going off opioi...

I am taking sprintec for migraine prevention, not birth control. I typically take 3 months of active pills beck taking a week off to have a period. I missed 3 days in a row during my second pack of active pills. I tried to catch up by taking two a day, but it was too late and a full blown period started. So i stopped taking them in the hopes of letting the period run its course. It has been 5 days of (very) heavy bleeding now, with clots. I have stopped the pill for 3 days now. When should I restart, or should i see if bleeding stops? ## It really would have been best, according to FDA directions, to have continued taking them, this can happen if you miss to many in a row, but should resolve itself, once you complete your next cycle. Other side effects are listed as possibly including n...

I have to say that I am blown away about the amount of energy expended upon getting this highly addicitve drug. As a recovered addict I do understand the intense need, but as someone in recovery I see of forum of drug abusers who spend days finding ways to get their drugs. This will probably anger some, but if this helps anyone that's all that matters. No one should ever be on these drugs for an extended period of time, as it actually increases pain sensitivity which propells addiction. I know from experience. I urge you people to try and take a truthful look at your drug use. About a month after I stopped using my pain completely went away. Detox sucked but today I am free. I never thought I would be able to live w out this drug. The truth is when you use for so long you can no lon...

about a week ago I took tizanidine and woke up from a nightmare in a full blown panic attack and have not been ok since. I was put on anti anxiety meds I wish to God I would have never touched tizanidine I do not recommend them to anyone who wants to not have anxiety!!!! Horrible medication!!! ## The last time I took tizanidine, I had severe hallucinations for hours in the middle of the night. I have never experienced anything like this ever--it was very frightening. If you have this drug, I suggest you throw them out quickly. It is a horrible drug. ## I have been taking tizanidine for over ten yrs and couldn't manage without it! My muscle spasms are so bad that I would be curled up in a ball on the floor without it. I'm sorry that your body has reacted negatively to it but not ...

Semper fi ## As to the pill marked G 65, I cannot find this listed in any US database. ## The closest inscription which I found for this is GG 65. So I'm not sure if you could possibly have one of those? If there are in fact two G's on the pill then it is actually Desipramine 50 mg. White round GG 65 is an anti-depressant. I have been on levythorixine for almost a year first it was 25 then 6 months later they upped it to 50 now 75 3 months later. Since September I have been slowly going down hill. I have been to the ER twice with lightheadiness and heart palpitations they have blown me off as panic attacks. The past 7 days I have been in bed unable to get up bad lightheadedness weak shaky feeling I have been to several doctors and no one could find the cause. Today went to an internist and after reviewing my T levels he stated that I should have never been upped from the 25. I have basically been overmedicated ie poisened. every symptom I have had he described. He told me to stop all thyroid ASAP. He wants to start over in 3 months with the tests. Has anyone else been through this hell? ## Hello, Amber! H...

I can’t seem to find an answer. If oxycodone now has naloxone in it so that there isn’t an euphoric high, isn’t that the same as the Suboxone? Suboxone has naloxone in it but it must also have the narcotic also, otherwise how would it keep people from going into full blown withdrawals? The new pain pills are the SAME EXACT thing, they stop the withdrawals but do nothing for the pain? So aren’t we as the consumer/patient being misinformed as to the true nature of the new formulated pain pills? I’m in pain but oh thank you I still have narcotics in my blood. Naloxone stomps on the opioid, so what’s the sense??? Wouldn’t it be better to know the truth? Oh and by the way, UFOs exist lol. Loooking for the truth. ## Big Red Balloon, From what I can re...

I used some tac 0.1 in eucerin cream on my face in spots were zits would not go away and now I look like I have full blown acne. it has little blisters. I just used it on my face so can the rest of my body be in the sun or not? how long until this goes away as the zits I had before were minimal and I should of never used it in the first place..... so stupid!!! ## Yes, that was a bad idea. It contains Triamcinolone, which is listed by the FDA as a steroid class medication and they can actually cause acne as side effects. However, this would not explain the blistering, so you should have that checked out by your doctor. Other side effects to topical use may possibly include skin irritation, dryness and redness. Have you ever gotten cold sores? If so, that may explain the blisters, since s...

I had increased anxiety and depression with Tradjenta. When I called the endocrinologist and reported the increase in anxiety, I was blown off, and told that maybe it was from hypoglycemia, and to eat more regularly. I have stopped taking Tradjenta, and feel 100% better! ## Hello, Roman! How are you doing? Sorry about the problems you had with this medication. How long were you taking it? It is normal for medications to cause side effects for the first couple of weeks, while your body gets used to them, but they usually taper off in severity after that. I recently moved back to Galveston from Louisiana and need a pain clinic. I took methadone 10 X 3 for 20 years and now taking oxycodone. I want to go back to work but need to control pain from cervical fusion, nerve damage, and blown out discs. Nerve blocks don't work. I have insurance but will pay cash if necessary. Have been driving back to Louisiana every couple of months but that won't work if I do.

First I'll just say that I will try to describe this very difficult situation simply as I can. I'm 54 years old I've done construction and maintenance most of my entire adult life. I had spinal fusion surgery in 2005. I had blown out my back way before 2005 but that was a result of my heavy lifting and going up and down stairs a thousand times a day and just doing heavy construction wheelbarrows full of cement. and just all phases of construction. also I had rotator cuff injury which resulted in not one but two arterial bypass surgeries won the first being a plastic type thing that was installed in my arm elbow and shoulder which year later it failed so either cut my arm off because it's not working anymore or remove the arterial vein in my left leg from my knee to my gr...

Just started taking buspar for anxiety. Have not been eating as much, could loss of appetite come from the buspar. ## Hello, Lori! How are you doing? Yes, it has been known to cause that type of side effect in some people that take it, there have been a few cases where it has gone into full blown anorexia. How long have you been taking it? It should ease up after about 4 to 6 weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication, but I'd suggest checking this out with your doctor to be sure.

About 2 years ago, my boyfriend had the brilliant idea of administering klonopin intravenously several times into his lower leg. He developed an irritation, then full blown abscesses, accompanied by numbness in his foot, ankle, parts of his leg - and they alternate with occasional tingling and sensation but mostly his foot and toes are completely numb. Is this correlated to the IV of klonopin (i do not know the dose) - and is it permanent damage or could it be reversible? The abscesses have cleared up (thanks to medical ointment) - but i fear that the nerve damage is too far gone. It depresses him to no end as he cant walk properly..... he also suffers from trigeminal neuralgia and at the time was seizing and seeking relief (his usual solution, opiates, were unavailable at that moment s...

I live in Beattyville KY, a little town where doctors won't give you a chance before listening. They treat every patient like a drug addict if they ask for narcotics. My siblings aren't in good health either at this point. I've been listed for having ocd, major depression, anxiety, and full blown panic attacks. I'm very lost and depressed. I fill ALL of my prescriptions with express scripts including my Roxicodone. I have a severe case of chronic Pancreatitis, which causes acute attacks almost every month. On top of this, which is unbelievably painful, I have 4 herniated discs in my back as well as a completely blown out left knee. I also have lingering pain from several gun shot wounds I was lucky enough to live through in Afghanistan. Express Scripts however sends my pain meds every 34 DAYS, LEAVING ME IN WITHDRAWAL, for the 1st couple months, until I started cutting the amount I took from 4 to 3 the last week, so I don't suffer too bad from pain or withdrawal. I wish I could find a legitimate pharmacy that fills my prescriptions in a timely manner and accepts my insurance. I guess serving ones country does not matt...
