Hi I have Churg-Strauss Syndrome very rare and had it 11 yrs ago. Have been on prednisone for all these years...10 mgs for past several years. Well now my pulmonologist wants to get me off (I also got Sjogren's 4 yrs ago) and he tapers 1 mg for 3 mos then goes down again..I get into respiratory trouble with asthma usually around 7 or 6 mgs. Is he doing it correctly? And this is important. I hurt so badly with joint arthritis now that will the continual use of prednisone no matter how little make my arthritis worse. Have already had one hip replacement and both knees are shot. And what is this methotrexate? Thank you for any info. ## i have been on 20 mg of prednisone for the past four years so i can breath. steroid dep asthmatic. I also take 15 mg of zolpidem to sleep, anti depresen...

Could you telling me the name of the drug. ## I need to know what pill is yellow and round and has the letters vail on one side ## Hello Barbara, This is a rather odd occurrence, I was able to find the pill you described on the NIH pillbox website and it came up with the picture and all of the information regarding the pill except for the actual name of the pill. I will link a picture below in addition to all of the information I was able to find but for some reason the pill doesn't have a name. My 11 year old daughter was prescribed chewable Augmentin twice a day for strep throat. Since it upsets her stomach, I can't give her one before school. Can I give her 1 at 3 pm and the other before bed at 9 pm? ## No, that wouldn't a good idea. Since it's an antibiotic, the intent is to keep it regularly spaced out, to keep the levels up in her body long enough for the bacteria to be eradicated. Thus, you'd be leaving too long of a gap, between the 9pm one and the 3pm one going round the clock. As to the nausea, has she tried taking it with food? Other side effects may include non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. ## a doctor prescribed Augmentin 625mg for my 10year old boy who had a congested chest and throat infection. He is 39kg.He has a history of asthma though he see...

I have a severe tooth infection since a week. The tooth which is the source of the infection got removed today. My concern is about how to take the leftovers of my antibiotics because I have likely made a mistake in taking it. Here is the story, sorry it's a bit complicated but I hope you understand: Background: Unfortunately I had 3 different dentists due to traveling in Thailand. 04/04/2015 the first dentist gave me Amoxi 500 for 3 times a day every 8h. 11/04. the package was finished, the inflammation of my teeth didn't get much better. I have visited another doctor for removing the bad tooth. He said the former antibiotics were too weak and gave me Augmentin 1g for 2x daily every 12h. So far so good. But I didn't trust this dentist much since first he wanted to pull my t...

Our 11 yr old (72 lbs) was prescribed Augmentin for suspected bacterial infection. He developed some of the "rare side effects" which have finally subsided except for the dizziness upon standing/walking. Last dose taken more then 48 hrs ago and still feeling dizzy. Any idea when it will resolve? We and pediatrician are assuming the dizziness is a side effect and not part of the virus/infection. ## Hello, Hollyrock! How is he doing? Side effects to the antibiotic may linger for a week or so, but if the dizziness is severe and making him miserable, please return to the doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello. I was issued Augmentin for a sinus infection. Dosage was supposed to be 10 days, I took it for six. I was in a wedding in Las Vegas and felt better, and yes,...

This happened within a matter of 2 hours. I called the doc in the morning as I was down to 2 oxyxodone pills of an rx of 60 filled 4/7/11. I only take when ibuprofen isn't working and then I still try to take ibuprofen to the point I'm taking 2 bottles of 160 tabs every 5 WEEKS! I told my doc about the ibuprofen and said I'm afraid my liver or kidneys are damaged or soon will be. She suggested the oxycodone for days when the pain has me stuck in bed and I followed those instructions. I do not get any other pain meds from any other doctor period! I take it for severe arthritis in both arms and wrists (I broke both at the same time after a fall 3 years ago), I have carpal tunnel in the right hand, lower back issues from scoliosis, and headaches that aren't migraines or hel...

Hi, my son is 11, has ADHD, autism, Tourette,SPD, GDD and a learning disability. He's been on Ritalin for three years with very little effect at all. His psychiatrist has now put him on Intuniv. He started on 1mg and there were few side effects. His BP decreased a bit and he was sleepy for three days but this stopped. His dose was increased to 2mg two days ago and now he's complaining of a headache, nausea (he vomited this morning) and has also started wetting a lot. Do these side effects decrease over time...or do they continue? We have noticed a minimal decrease in the tics and he's slightly calmer, also hes only been on the meds a week, so we want to give it a chance. Just wondering if anyone else has any similar experiences. ## Those are all known side effects of this me...

My 11 yr old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD 5 yrs ago. We have still not found the right combination of medicines for her. Impulsive behavior became a major issue for us. Our ped neurologist suggested intuniv. Since she was also battling anxiety, she started zoloft and intunive while stopping stimulants completely. After a few months, we saw behavioral changes and opted to stop the zoloft. The intuniv alone was not enough to control the inattentiveness, so she is now on a stimulant along with the intuniv. Now we are struggling in a major way with her being disrespectful to us, screaming at us and her sisters, and just being plain out rude ugly to everyone. She thinks everyone is against her. When we speak to her in a authoritative tone, she thinks we are screaming at her. She thinks h...

Sandoz is the best generic ir adderall I've used. August 11, 2017 I was told by the pharmacist they no longer produce this product. I asked if brand name was available and was told yes. When I received them I noticed they were made by Teva and let me tell you they are awful. I don't know what to do if I can't find a decent generic brand. ## Activis (spell check?) is pretty good. I also went from Sandoz to Teva, not by choice, and hated it. Then I tried Activis, and I'm happy with it. ## That's strange if it is discontinued but CVS just gave me Sandoz Adderall today 9/5/2017 , I had requested corepharma because previously they gave me Mylan brand, which was Bad. I did well on corepharma but the only generic they could get was Sandoz. ## It is possible that just that p...
