Need a doctor around brookhaven Ms to Jackson Ms for pain I have DDD and about 8 bulging Ä‘isk from my neck down thanks for any help ## Hi sambo, Listed below are a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other site a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Alternatively, if this applies to you - you can always ask that your current primary care doctor refer you to a new pain management doctor or clinic. Please post back if either of these links were able to work out for you. Hope this helps!

I need a new doctor in Mobile,Al to prescribe me Alprazolam, which I've been on for 3 years.I have all my medical records.I'm having very bad panic attacks at night & can't sleep because of the bad dreams I'm having. Thanks ## If you suffer from anxiety and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. If you do opt to see a regular medical doctor, some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any given me...

Looking for a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in massachusetts ## Hello, Eric! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis for chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management specialist, since a PCP will no longer be able to prescribe it for you. And the only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a specialist, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records, then keep the appointment so you can discuss what they will or will not do to help you. If you aren't happy with them, you'll have to try someone else. However, you can't ask about any specific medication, when y...

I live in Springfield and I struggle with anxiety that induces migraines... I have been prescribed all types of benzos. ..xanax works best when I asked psychiatrist for them she assumes I'm seeking drugs how or who I should talk to ## Hello, Jaydog! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. The issue is that doctors are instructed to view it as drug seeking behavior, when someone asks for a specific medication that is a controlled substance. The one you're looking for is very commonly abused and, according to the FDA, it carries the risk of being habit forming, it could also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. The best thing to do is to see a new doctor and let your medical records speak for you. Once they see what...

I was prescribed e 404 but have changed doctors recently and I was prescribed something that makes me sleepy so my doctor asked me that I have to know the name of the prescription to know exactly what I was prescribed prior. Does anyone know the name? ## Winn That's a simple one just call the pharmacy that filled the prescription and have him contact your new doctor. There has to be a record of that drug if it was legally prescribed to you, right? ## This tablet is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 30mgs of mixed Amphetamine salts, which is a generic for Adderall, it is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. Can i take phen and yeduc together? ## Hi, Julie! Before I can check them for you, I need to ask what you are referring to as Phen. There are two possibilities. One is an over the counter supplement and the other is the prescription medication Phentermine. Can you please post back with more details? Thanks!

A special person in my life has been taking methadone for over 10 yrs. Like a lot of other comments, the clinic really is impossible to try to pay for. Just found out his ins. will cover methadone. Now desperately need to find a m.d. in southeast KY who will write prescription. Nearest to bell county. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? I'm sorry, but if he has been going to an addiction clinic for treatment or maintenance, then he must remain at the clinic. It is against the law for a regular doctor to prescribe it for that. I wish I had better news for you, many people have asked, but this is the way the laws currently stand. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

I was diagnosed 5 years ago with DDS and at first by back pain was minimal. After a year or so it began to get bad enough for me to see the Dr. every 3 months or so for a prescription of Oxycodone and 800mg Ibuprofen. I have since moved and my Dr I have now told me flat out he would not give me "narcotics". Why do Dr's treat us this way. I have medical records showing my valid medical issue. If anyone can recommend a pain friendly Dr who will not make me feel embarrassed to ask for help, please email me. I live in Avondale AZ ## Have you considered a pain management specialist? That would probably be your best bet to get the help you need, since many general practitioners aren't specially trained in treating pain and are reluctant to prescribe for it. One place you can c...

I've been taking 10-325 hydrocodone/acetaminophen for 3yrs now, 3 times per day and I am still experiencing back pain! Can I ask my dr. for more pills per day? ## I think the best way to approach this is to just tell them that your pain is not under control, then let them make the decision from there, that way you avoid looking like a drug seeker. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness. They may even suggest you try a stronger medication. Are you on any other medications?

I was taking Oxycodone 15 now for 2 years and it's not working as well. Now my doctor put me on Percocet 10/325 that really does not work unless I take 2. So my question is, should I ask the doctor to give me 2 at a time ( 4x ) or should I get something different? ## Hello, Vicki! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The Percocet was basically equivalent to the 15mg Oxycodone you were taking, since it contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best thing to do is to speak to your doctor about the situation and let them know that the Percocet is not handling your pain. Since it c...

I am 60 yrs old have been in methadone clinic but have buisness trips where I'm gone 3-5 days or 2 weeks to China Need perscription for methadone while away. Any help? ## Have you tried asking them if they can make any suggestions on a doctor you could see? Methadone can be prescribed for home use, in some states, though I am not sure what the laws are in NJ. Even doing a search for clinics there doesn't really help, because even if they can, we have no way of knowing if they will prescribe it that way. Have you spoken to a regular doctor about it?

I have been on 4 bottles per month for over 6 years. My primary care doctor no longer sees patients and his nurse practitioner sees all of his patients. The nurse practitioner is now saying she will only write a prescription for 2 bottles a month. Any suggestions for a new primary care doctor that will help? I live in Tennessee. ## That is very odd, usually the actual doctor has to see you every few months, in most states. Can you post back and be more specific of the dosage you were taking? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. I'm trying to find a doctor or therapist in my area who can help me with my symptoms for adderall diagnoses. I am located in Greenville, Alabama 36037, a mother of four kids and really need someone to help. Thank you ## Hello, Pepper! How are you? Adderall is not a diagnosis, it is a medication. The FDA classifies it as a stimulant that is used to treat conditions, such as ADHD, narcolepsy and shift-work sleep disorder, thus for it to be appropriate, a doctor would need to diagnose you with one of those conditions. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia, weight loss and anorexia. Since it is a controlled substance, you aren't going to be able to just call around to doctors and ask them to ...
