I am currently taking two Wellbutrin XL 150 mg in the morning, around 8:00am. I take it for extreme fatigue. By 6:00pm I'm ready for bed, tired. Was wondering if I could take a Wellbutrin 150mg SR around 5:00pm would that help me get through the evening? ## It's been prescribed to you for fatigue? That's very unusual, but it has been known to actually cause insomnia in some people. Learn more Wellbutrin details here. It can be taken in doses up to 450mgs daily, but that does increase the risk of seizures, so you'd need to discuss it with your doctor to see if it's safe for you to raise your dosage.

Ihad my angioplasty done on 1st Aug 2011. I have been taking plavix 75mg for the past 2 weeks. This medicine is very costly 14 tablets costa around Rs1500/-around 30 dollars.I am from India. Can I replace this with Clopilet A 150 which also contains the same active ingrdinet clopidogrel anti coagulating agent pl advice I cant afford this medicine. ## Actually, Clopilet-A contains Clopidogrel and Aspirin, so I wouldn't advise switching to it, without your doctors approval. The regular Clopilet would be the equivalent medication that just contains Clopidogrel and, in that case, there should be no harm in switching, as long as you are taking the correct dosage. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Thank you sir for your reply Regards P.R.Narayanaswami ## I was takken off lipit...

need reasons for 150 mg dosage and side effects ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Actually, 150mgs is not an approved dosage. The maximum daily dose of Fluoxetine is usually only 80mgs. This medication is an SSRI antidepressant and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes and dry mouth. Learn more Fluoxetine details here. Has your doctor prescribed that high of a dosage? ## My daughter has been on 150 mg of Prozac for over a month and a half. Around that time she experienced stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, etc. and it hasn't stopped since. It occurred to me that it could be the dosage amount. When googling, everything says 80 mg is the highest dosage. Is this correct? If so she needs to stop immediately and I will report the doctor!

is there a difference in wellbutrin and wellbutrin 150mg sr tab actavissou? i was taking the regular wellbutrin then my new prescriptson is the tab sr. a round pale yellow pill. other coment said it causes sezures? ## Brandy, the "SR" means sustained release, meaning that you take a single larger dosage less often because it is gradually released in your body. There is a minor risk of seizures as a possible side effect of this medication - the chances of it are low but do increase with a higher dose. I'd say since you are starting this new dosage that you either make sure you're around others, or at least have your doc on speed dial to report any side effects. More details about this medication are available at: Hope this helps and good luck!

my mother was taking this tab FLUCESS what is it used for-she eventaully passed away one month ago and has more in the cupboard-can you tell me what it was used for and now if i should discard it or maybe any other family member can use it-please advise me-i was not around when she died--an early reply would be appreciated-thank you-please donot charge me ## Flucess contains the active ingredient Fluconazole, it is primary used to treat fungal infections, such as vaginal yeast infections. I am not sure what the regulations are there for the proper disposal of medications, or if you can give them to another family member. I'd suggest checking with a pharmacist/chemist. Is there anything else I can help with?

Lost my health insurance and just found out I have another DVT. I take 150 mg injections and I only have 10 left. Pharmacies are charging around $3,000 a month, I don't see how anyone can afford that. I just need enough until December when my insurance kicks in with my new job. What is the best way to get Lovenox for a reasonable price? ## Hello, Carrie! How are you? There is an assistance program through Sanofi for uninsured patients called Sanofi Patient Connection. You can call them for an application and program details at 888-847-4877. I've found most of these programs to respond pretty quickly to keep people from missing doses of their medications. This medication may cause side effects, such as dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and administration site irritation. Is t...

Hey all - I've been on Lamictal for about 8 months (bipolar) and I titrated up to 200mg, except during the jump from 150-200mg I quit smoking cigarettes and marijuana at almost precisely the same time I upped the Lamictal dose. I read in some medical literature that nicotine suppresses the effectiveness of Lamictal, and I can only speculate about the marijuana/Lamictal relationship. So there I was thinking that I was taking 150mg, but while smoking, my body probably wasn't absorbing/utilizing that much (quantitative difference? not sure). From the dose jump, 150-200mg, I noticed a vast increase in the substantiality of side effects that Lamictal proposed upon me from the get-go. Light headedness, word-finding problems, difficultly reading/spelling, handwriting and math out the w...

My boyfriend was taking this drug and he had nausea and pain in his chest on the right side last night. He stopped taking the medication and is still feeling that pain but not a severe like last night, could this be because of this medication? We called the dentist and informed us that if the pain persists to contact Dr. I'm a little worried because I want to know how serious this is because you know men!!! HARDHEADED.....!!!!! UNLESS IS LIFE THREATENING HE WON'T GO TO HOSPITAL.... Please Help. ## He should consult a regular doctor, chest pain that lingers like that is nothing to mess around with. It may be nothing, but it could be a developing heart problem, it may or may not have been triggered by the med...

Hello, I was tentatively diagnosed 6 weeks ago with partial simple seizures ( a weird feeling in abdomen that 'whooshes' it's way up to my head) and put on 1000 Keppra daily (500 twice a day.) Dr upped dose to 1500 daily. My question- can I take a 500 pill every 8 hours (6am-2pm-10pm) instead of 750 every 12 hours? The larger dose wipes me out. (Tried to condense and keep this short) Thanks for any help!! ## Hello, Ibis! How are you? You should follow your doctor's instructions for the amount to take and how often you should take it. The side effects, such as it making you feel wiped out, will only last about 3 weeks. You'll likely hit a couple of days, right around the 21 day mark, where it'll seem to get really bad, then things will start to improve. It is the ...

Most medications usually reach their effectiveness around 4 to 6 weeks of use, so if you have been taking them for that long and are still getting high readings, you may need a dosage adjustment or you might have to try something else. While they have all been proven effective, there is no way to say whether or not any given medication is going to be effective for any given person that tries it. They can all effect everyone diff...

I had a fall post seizure which happened while I was crossing a road, luckily no vehicle was around. I hit my head and right of my face on the Tarmac, but had only a minor hemorrhage in the brain with hair line injury on the jaw as I was wearing a coutomary had gear. Was unconscious for some time. At present, I am foggy, forget things, remember things with difficulty, strain while speaking, and have a unnatural & general feeling of not being OK/normal. I am 72 years old and has been prescribed oxetol-150 by a neurologist recently. I would like to know the side-effects of taking oxetol-150. Below is my case history - I'm feeling shivering around the area of heart for the last 6-8 weeks which spreads to the upper part of body and limbs and continues for 90 minutes to 150 minutes. This phenomenon leads to thumping in chest, rapid exhalation and giddiness. If this symptom starts when I am asleep, I get awakened feeling very uneasy and I get up and sit on bed till it subsides. I am a known COPD patient and suffer from wheezing for which I use Biocler 250 tab, Mucinac 600 tab, Duolin, Maxiflow forte in Rota haler as advised by doctor. On doctor's advice, I have done ECG, ECHO, taken chest x-ray, TMT and 24 hours Holter monitoring but n

are the pills still safe to take after being in the medicine cabinet for four years. My doctor is out of town and need to take one for my back ## Hello, Fluffy! How are you? Tablets begin to lose efficacy, after their expiration date. Even those still sealed in the original factory containers only have a shelf-life of 3 to 4 years. Thus, these are most likely worthless after all this time. The best thing to do would be to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. Is there anything else I can help with? ## um. i have found a tylenol 4, a very long time ago. couldnt believe i still had one floating around, after about 6 years. the next time my back was hurting, i took it, and it worked very well!! they just cannot guarantee the potency after a year. its a CYA thing, most...

my 18 year old son has been diagnosed with severe depression. His psychiatrist has him on 2 capsules daily of fluoxetine HCL 20 mg each along with 2 tablets daily of Budeprrion SR 150 mg each. To me, this seems like an awful lot of drugs for a young person to handle. They don't seem to be working. He's just lying around the house, not interested in joining in with family or friends and basically sleeps all day. I'm concerned that this is doing him more harm than good. Can this lead to an addiction to drugs? ## Your son is showing some of the classic symptoms of depression so it sounds like a great idea that he is taking antidepressants. He is taking 40 mg/day of Prozac and 300 mg/day of Wellbutrin. That is a pretty good combination IMO; and by no means is it a lot for severe...

Was prescribed S. Numlo 0.25 and Telma 40 when B.P was 150/100 in 2010 by DR. A. Stopped medication after 6 months as B.P. around 130/85. In June 2013 was again diagnosed with High B.P 160/100 to 150 /90 and prescibed tab Seloken XL 25 mg by Dr. B. Should i change to Seloken or should i continue with earlier tablets. ## Hi, Jack! How are you? The first thing you need to know is that hypertension is a continuous condition that you will always have to manage. It isn't cured once medications lower it, so you can't just stop taking them. You may hit a point where you can lower the dosages, or stop one medication, but if you stop all of them entirely, you will always run the risk of it becoming elevated again. And to which medication you should take, you should follow your doctor...

Are they a good combination? My BP was always around 120/65-75 and suddenly it went up to about 150/93. I took pharmapress 10mg and fedaloc sr60 for months. I had prexum plus in my meds cabinet and took one after taking pharmapress and fedaloc as always. Now my BP is down again to about 130/74. It seems the prexum did help. What now? ## The problem is that the Pharmapress, which contains Enalapril, and the Prexum Plus, which contains Perindopril, are both ACE inhibitors, which means you are essentially doubling up on the same medication, which could cause you to take too much, and overdose. An overdose may cause symptoms such as shallow breathing, extreme dizziness, fainting, and dangerously low blood pressure, and heart rate, according to FDA warnings. I took a vitamin C supplement in morning around 10 am. Then as prescribed by my dentist took a Moxiforce CV 625 along with Rantac 150 mg and Painkiller after lunch. My vitamin C supplement contains ascorbic Acid in the tune of 100 mg. I have been told to take the dosage twice for 5 days for the treatment of pain in wisdom tooth. Am i taking the right combination of medicines? Should i stop my vitamin supplement for the next four days?
