I need a Doctor that will prescribe adderall or other ADHD medications in Portland, OR. I had a script before I moved here, but no luck finding a doctor that will let me have my script again. I really need this medication. I do not abuse it, but recently I've had a terrible time with Care Oregon. I'm willing to pay out of pocket, but some psychiatrists still will not even take an appointment with me bc I'm in the system under Care Oregon. In Arkansas, it was no problem. I had medicaid. My medicade was smoothed over due to the affordable care bs and it has been a year of red tape. I'm moving back to California and I am sure it will be very difficult there as well. Anyone know what I should do? I am thinking that I should schedule an appointment with a private practice and...

Please READ this as I am going to try to explain my best of my experience with these medications. I want to start out saying that life is what you make it. There are millions of people out there with a chemical imbalance such as ADHD, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY etc. With that being said I have all three of them stated above. I went all through high school without being on any medications. I tried some depression pills but never stuck with them but I made it and graduated with a B-C average but I did it. I first was introduced to the drug ADDERALL from my best friend who I worked with at the time. He gave me a 10mg instant release Adderall pill. I was scared to take it because I didn't do drugs besides drink on occasion. So I was scared what it was going to do to me. Well since that day my ...

I live on Minnesota and can't find another Doctor who will prescribe ADHD medication. Its been almost 4months and the piles are forming, appointments are being missed or late for or forgotten. All the symptoms are back. I also take Klonopin for anxiety and major panic disorder. If anyone knows a non-judgmental doctor I would be so grateful. ## That's not good. What reasons are they giving you for not prescribing the meds? How many doctors have you seen that will not prescribe? ## Have you tried a doctor that specifically deals with such mental health issues, rather than a general practitioner? Since the medications used for ADHD are controlled substances and they aren't specially trained to treat and prescribe for such conditions, many general doctors are very reluctant to p...

I have not worked in months and I'm prescribed alprazilam fory anxiety.I inguireing if you offer free or discount prices one this product? ## You might find samples for new medicines although I doubt any free controlled medicine is distributed. Xanax isn't expensive, have no idea about Adderall ## Hello, Steven! How are you? This website does not prescribe, nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. However, there is a discount card that can be found on most of the pages, or you can sign up for it, when making a post. It is free, you just submit your email address and print it, then take it to your pharmacy. Some states also have discount programs to help those who are out of work, low-income, or otherwise uninsured. Most pharmacies should be aware of them, if ...

New to the area and looking for a doctor who won't be a pain about prescribing Ritalin or Adderall for adult ADHD. ## Well, the best thing you can do is to make an appointment with a new doctor and not ask for any particular medication up front. You need to get in for an appointment first and then discuss your treatment options. However, since these are controlled substance medications, doctors do have to be careful about prescribing them, so you aren't going to find a doctor that will just be carefree and throw prescriptions at you. Learn more Ritalin details here. Learn more Adderall details here. Does anyone know of a doctor in this area that they can recommend? ## Looking for dr. in NE Indiana that prescribes Ritalin/adderall without doing pharmacy checks, and doesnt give yo...

I recently moved to pa. I have ADHD/PTSD. I couldn't get an appointment for 2 months. I need a temporary prescription from a walk in medical clinic. Does anyone know of Yardley Pa walk in that prescribes Valium (ptsd) and adderal (ADHD) ## Hello, Janet! How are you? I'm sorry, but due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a specialist to have those medications prescribed, a general practice doctor will not be able to prescribe them for you. I wish I had better news for you, but unfortunately, I don't. These regulations are applicable throughout the U.S., now. The only suggestion I can make is that if you run out and have issues, a local ER might be able to help you. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've had adhd since childhood and it has gotten increasingly worse. I've tried EVERYTHING and found that only these two medications really work. My doctor dropped me due to something regarding Obamacare and I NEED to have my prescriptions refilled! These drugs have literally brought my life back to normal! Please tell me of a doctor who understands the severity of the condition and will prescribe the right medications somewhere in Southwest Florida. ## Obamacare has to do with getting medical coverage, not whether or not your doctor treats you. And as to getting the medications that work for you, you'll need to see a new doctor and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. Once they can see what has and hasn't worked for you, as documented by fellow ph...

I've been diagnosed with major depression and adhd since I was 10. I started taking anti depressants when I was about 17. After trying a slew of different medications we settled on effexor. I went a long time without a PCP or psychiatrist and insurance so was basically stuck on effexor out of a fear of the brutal withdrawal symptoms. I was also a drug addict so didn't know what, if anything the meds were doing to my already altered brain chemistry. I have now been clean and sober for over one year and in therapy. I wanted to get off the effexor as it was the last vestage of my old life and try something new. My psychiatrist dropped me from 150mg to 112.5 to 75 to 37.5 in about a months time and I'm in my third day of nothing at all. I feel like absolute crap. Brainzaps/pulse...

I have generalized anxiety, adhd, bipolar type 1 and antisocial personality disorder. Long story short, after many years and various types of treatments, things got worse, so I have been off medications for nearly 2 years and regularly have marijuana to keep me sane as it is the only thing that makes me feel normal or relieves most of my symptoms. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I am being made to take Zoloft now. I am on week 1, but I have been consuming marijuana regularly on top of it. I just wanna know, does it stop Zoloft from working properly or am I fine? ## @Trump. I am not an expert on Mary Jane. I have most of your the psych. diagnosis. you have listed. I have been diagnosed with ADHD and Bi-polar disease. My Dr. gave me 2 different meds which are Apo-methylphenidate and Sandoz-Methylphenidate. are there any side affects in d-amphetamine salt combo 10 mg. ## All medications carry the risk of side effects. This is a generic for Adderall, it is used to treat conditions such as ADHD and Narcolepsy. Its side effects may include: nausea, headache, irritability, insomnia and nervousness. Learn more: Are there any other questions? ## how long do these side effects last ## Side effects should hit their peak between 4 to 6 weeks of use, as your body adjusts to the medication, then they should start to taper off in severity. I am very pleased to say that I take all three of these great medications. The suboxone is the most important because it keeps me from craving other drugs which I used to abuse. I take 12mg a day. The Adderall XR 30mg is helpful with ADHD and staying alert. It keeps me going all day. And finally, last but definitely not least is the klonopin 1.5mg a day. Nothing else has touched my anxiety or made me feel so comfortable around people. Each med is important, and I would highly recommend this mix for anyone with anxiety, ADHD, and substance abuse disorder. Of course, they’re all controlled substances so you have to control yourself and be responsible, especially with a history of substance abuse. Other than that, just find a good doctor who cares and take them as prescribed. If you ...

Please advise. My grandson is 9 years old and has been diagnosed with ADHD. He's on ritalin but his parents only give it to him when he's in school. Should they keep him on it year-round? He is not controllable when he's not taking it. ## These medications really do work best, when taken continuously, as prescribed. However, the final decision on that is up to the parents and the child's doctor. Have they said why they don't give it to him, when he isn't in school? They may just want to avoid some of the possible side effects, such as the anorexia and insomnia that it can cause. ## I was just put on ritalin for lack of motivation and depression. I also take xanax, zoloft and zyprexa. What is the difference between adderall and ritalin?

Dextroamp Amphet Er 30 mg combined with Zoloft 25 mg for a twelve year old boy with suspected ADHD. What will the results be? ## Hopefully this boy hasn't already taken the combination, as there are potentially dangerous interactions listed between these two medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using sertraline together with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. Sertraline can increase the effects of amphetamine, and side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, and racing thoughts have been reported. Combining these medications can also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes ...

I currently take 20mg of adderall for my adhd. I recently had my aortic valve replaced with a calf valve. My adderall doesn't seem to have the same effects anymore. Could the valve possibly be the reason? ## It's very doubtful! How long have you been taking this dosage? Your body may just have gotten tolerant to it. Are you on any other medications? ## I have been on this dose for at least 2-3yrs. But it just started to "not work" as well. I am currently on a baby aspirin, and toprol xl. When i talked to my dr about the dosage not working for me anymore, she told me i am on the max dose...Which i know is bulls***! Lol

My 6 year old has adhd and asd he usually takes clonidine to get to sleep at night and we ran out, what else can I give him he didn't go to sleep til 3:30am ## I'd suggest getting in touch with his doctor for a refill, or to see what else would be safe to give him. Running out has probably caused a rebound effect, which resulted in him having insomnia. Is on any other medications? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and sedation.

I wat to know why m son not eating like he was before he took this medicane ## It is a stimulant that's most commonly used to treat ADHD and, as such, it tends to cause suppression of the appetite as a side effect, that's why such medications are also often used to aid in weight loss. Learn more Adderall details here. How much is he eating? If he's eating a normal, healthy amount, then there is nothing to really worry about. However, if he's not eating normal, healthy portions and is suffering severe weight loss, then his doctor should be contacted.
