Why Am I Taking It?
UpdatedDr put me on 25 mg for depression. I also take Celexa 40 mg. I was concerned about side-effects but was told not to worry. NOW Dr. says "you need to go off seroquel" after 3 months. I'm finding relief from my depression symptoms and she says I need to get off of it because it increases the risk of stroke by 3 times. Why did she put me on it in the first place? Is there brand new info that has surfaced that has changed her mind in 3 months? Advice?

There is a warning about it, but it's relevant to other risk factors, such as having already had a stroke, TIA's, smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure or atrial fibrillation.
